Logs
We followed the track from the last one. This was more overgrown, and we were on the lookout for Joe Blakes. Fortunately, none were sighted, and the cache was quickly found at GZ. I removed the wet sheets and added an extra one. Nice bushland. TFTC
TFTC, a fun walk through some rather dense but beautiful brush. Log is very full! Removed soaking wet swap to help everything else dry out.
Enjoyable stroll looking for Kolas as visiting from the Uk. Found the cache with Crazynumbat. Log too soggy to sign. Photo attached. Watch out for leeches. TFTC
Great little walk. Nice hide. Thanks for bringing us here. Found with Brewwithaview.
# 9481 I doubt any bmx riders have been through here recently. Thanks raddog2 for the Traditional Cache
Day in the bay to cache with Kaz444 it was so windy but we found parking easy for a Sunday. Great caches great view great company TFTC
Day out caching in the Bay Area with WRAACie. Lovely track to walk along - bit overgrown in parts. Hint helped find the cache. TFTC
Quite a damp trek, cache is log is soggy, clothes are soaked, but easy find after a little bush bashing. TFTC
Visiting the wetland today and looking for the cache of course. Found it. Thanks for the cache ??
Had a nice stroll through this bushland and had a very easy find at both caches. No mozzies but I sprayed liberally with mozzie spray before going in, also because I was cautious of ticks and leeches as well.Weirdos seen: little kid with an orange mullet, very talkative. Weather: crisp but cool. Sunny in the sun, shady in the shadeGPS: talking well with the satellites.Lots of driving and listening to podcasts and stopping to grab caches and figuring out where all the Adventure labs were.Wildlife seen: bunnies, bunnies, bunnies at my campsite.Snack situation: Sushi from salamander bay shopping centreTFTC and thanks for showing me this new place and maintaining the cache here.
Find #1820Out and about finding some caches in the Bay Area. This cache was quickly found, signed and replaced. Cache and log in great condition TFTC
A real bush walk but great hide and all in good condition. With Terence TB. TFTC.
This cache required a little bit of a light Bush bushing to get to and was fun. Despite the heat Quite a few Mozies out today. Dont think too many other people use this track. Really surprised that my wife came to this one. Thanks for maintaining the cache
Container colour blends in well with the growth. left a new sheet of paper as other filled up.Best path in is from the north. Container slightly cracked, but dry and still ant proof. Thanks for the cashe
Find # 9733Nice quick find.Thus cache is also in good condition. TFTC raddog2 30 September 2023 10:50
Second of the two in this very pleasant bushland area. As I approached GZ, I was rather hoping that I didn't have to go much further but thankfully once there, I was soon signing the log at 13:40. Now, how to get out?
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks raddog2.

Very overgrown path which left me with a few cuts but it was a cool spot to put it.
Thanks

The last day of our stay in Shoal Bay, probably the best weatherwise, we spent the afternoon seeking out the little green icons showing on our geo-map, to create a smiley front on our Port St Stephens area map. A nice quick find here.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** A popular cache, but it has no geocache ID, so is it really a Geocache? FYI there are just 3 spaces left on the log.
Thanks to raddog2 for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Found with Justontime. Well that was hidden at the end of the line. Track is very overgrown at the end. TFTC raddog2.
The weather was nice and we had a nice walk. We spotted some abnormal growth at one of the trees at GZ which seems to be a container.
Nice walk with team Tweety35.

I see a bit of a problem with a dead end track. Not many people will use it, so it slowly dissolves, like this one. Lots of spiders across the track, and mozzies. It is a little muggy, and the aeroguard is becomng a little less effective. Mozzies galore... It has been that sort of summer. A small wander of the trail, behind the scenes so to speak, and a quick find was had, as something bright was hanging out of the tree. TFTC. Not so much for bringing me here.
Fun find, clear easy track. Great hint and well camouflaged. Cache is cracking so contents are wet. Log wet
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Caching around the bay today. Dodging the showers, but otherwise good conditions. Lots of great little discoveries and good fun. Thanks to all the owners for placing the caches.

TFTC from the Kayakviking,
up with a family group to celebrate an 80th birthday for a few days and had to scratch the GZ itch while looking for koalas! Distracted a couple of new geo-kids from their electronics so that was a win along with the smiley. 3rd of 4 in this patch.
Cheers KV

out for a walk with two grandsons. This is the second find for the day. The Log page in the cache was a hard lump of paper mache. Added a page out of my note book as a new log sheet. Replaced as found after signing the log. tftc
This track is getting very overgrown. Rewarded with some beautiful flannel flowers, my fave. Needs a new log. Ta
Thanks raddog2 for the cache. It’s #1200 for us. We found your cache on 15 February 2020. Not easy to locate due to growth. Log absolutely soaked and unusable. Needs some maintenance
The path less travelled by ... TFTC container was half full of water, log still dry though, but only a couple of lines left
This was the next one we found after Great Sandy track. A quick find, now to backtrack a little to find the others. TFTC
A nice walk with the crew on our holiday. Out with Pitman Clan, AWTYOW, the junior geo-gangsta, JakeOnly, Dwight Shrute, Gabstar, KoolKid, Pitbull83 and the kid that asks us to write Batman on every log! TFTC
Second find as our huge group winds through here to pick up some holiday cache. Out with Pitman Clan, Dwight Shrute, Geo-gangstas, Gabstar, Pitbull83, KoolKid, JakeOnly and the little one who insists we sign his name as Batman on the logs
Back in Down Under for the next edition of SuCos Great Australian Roadtrip!
Heading from Sydney to Brisbane in a HippieCamper, what a great fun...
We spent today around Port Stephens, hiking some walks and finding some caches, great day out in the nature.
This trails here are pretty tough, but with some good shoes easy to get through.
The last one of this trail, another good one, but found in the end. TFTC

Nice quick find, albeit by this stage we were getting swarmed by mosquitos >_< TFTC
Found with Beary_Unicorns on a sunny Saturday afternoon, log not signed due to very wet, plastic bag ruined, CO check required, tftc
Reperio at 1010.
We happened to find ourselves in Nelson’s Bay for a few caches, and so with wanting to take the kids for a bush walk, we decided to visit these few caches along here. This was a short walk in from the access point, and at GZ the cache was quickly spotted. Opened it up to find the contents wet, but log was still able to be signed carefully.
Gratias raddog2.

Found today, this whole series needs maintenance, lots logs are wet and containers broken. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to raddog2.
TFTC,
1 of 6 for today. The container was split and the log was saturated. Added a new log sheet.
We are spending a few night's in the area and wanted to complete this series.
While it was a good walk, it seriously requires some maintenance. However speaking to our friends we have learnt that the reserve has been sold to a developer by the State Government and has been surveyed for subdervision.
The interpretative signage was very interesting but the tracks are almost impossibly to find at times and we probably completed it the wrong way around.
Visited trackables.

Found the odd tree, the log book is beyond signing.
Needs replacing

What a clever hide! Unfortunately couldn't sign as rheog was mouldy. Took a photo if needed. Thanks!
Our last find for today, on our way back from this great series in the bush. We found five out of six in this bush, and conveniently the one we didn't get is the furthest along this trail
The log is totally soaked and falls apart easily, so the CO will need to come out here to put in a new one. TFTC!

The cache was quickly found but the log is just a congealed mass and can't be signed. I wish I had a spare to replace it with. I took a photo should proof of my find be required.
Thanks again raddog2.
Thanks again raddog2.
After spending the last few days walking, hiking and riding thru the bush in search of the elusive geocache, we decided today to stick to caches we could either drive to, or which only involved a short walk. We'll just have to see how long that lasts for!
The plan fell apart when we got to this reserve. The paths are poorly maintained which resulted in lots of scratches on our way to find the caches.
A good hide above the ground, full of water and log mushy. Made a mark but barely recognisable

After being sent out to salamander bay to fill in for work i found myself with some spare time, So i thought i would try some walking tracks with caches along the way. ended up with 13 finds for the day between soldiers point to salamander bay. a great part of the world, i can see why so many come here every year. Thanks for the enjoyable walk and nice easy caches Raddog2.
Our plan was to visit all caches in this wetland area but we forgot the mozzie repellant in the car so we returned after just found a few.

Find #1377
Continuing our Port Stephens efforts today, we managed 12 caches around Salamander Bay and Corlette, without a DNF (just!). Beautiful sunny autumn weather, but still the mosquitoes were fierce in spots!
We started with the sandy track caches, grabbing the full collection. Quite a nice area to walk through, although the tracks are getting rather overgrown in spots. This series of caches could all do with some (extensive) maintenance.
We relied on cachly satellite maps to ensure we were on the right track, as they aren't marked on the Garmin.... A quick find on arrival at GZ, thank goodness it was on the track.... thick bush here. TFTC raddog2
