What a fun well constructed hide. A morning walk brought me here to do an AL and some traditional caches. TFTC

Found while visiting the area from USA. My husband is the best at finding these. TFTF.

Found with Orrsome86, Pagoda Climber and the stick. Found on our annual Friends holiday out this way. One of the kids wanted to find a geocache, so came to this one first. Walked up after breakfast. I was worried about loosing the phones down the well. Thanks for the cache!

Up from Sydney for casual geocaching in the Mid North Coast and staying a few days in Port Macquarie. We stopped in town on the way to dinner and had a little walk visiting the old well. Clever natural camo here. SL TFTC Cheers Gaztek

#21069 - 9:44:51 AM; In Port Macquarie with the geohoney for some family business, so I set off this morning to pick up a few caches in the local area before we grabbed some brunch at the local pancacke cafe (YUMMMM). Picked this cleverly constructed cache on the return journey to the hotel and adding a fave for the effort. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC Tracystone

Adelaide to Brisbane the long way.Day Six: Newcastle to Casino.Weather: perfect for geocaching!Virtual completed, Im now wandering around the central part of Port Macquarie township, picking up caches randomly. Theres plenty to chose from.Is it uncommon to have a well this close to the ocean? I guess it all comes down to rocks and rainfall. I wouldnt have made a good early settler. I wouldnt have noticed this well without a cache, so thanks for placing one Traceystone.

bunadoorian and I came for a drive from Tuncurry this afternoon. We picked up a couple of caches before heading back to our accommodation. This was one we finally found. The phone's GPS was bouncing us everywhere. In the end after reading some logs I just started looking and woo hoo I found it. TFTC and for showing us this lovely water well - Tracystone.

After an extensive search of the area without any assistance from the GPS, Grub62 finally found this well concealed cache. Very good camouflage. TFTC.

Looking for GCs is like binge watching a tv series on Netflix. Just one more episode, just one more episode. In this instance it was just one more look, just one more look!! Unfortunately it was a DNF today. I couldnt see the forest through the trees. Ill be back with the GeoKid.

Sadly I did not find it again even with the kido. GeoKid 10 said When I find the horse will have fur but right know the horse is naked. Elippa said we were probably thinking too much. We will come back and find it soon. We need help!!!!!!??

Our first time visiting Port Macquarie and we needed to find a traditional cache before we left. Didnt take too long before we located it.

This was a great little cache and I can see why it has so many favourites

This was another clever hide and location i wouldn't have come across without geocaching. Aah Port you're taking all my favourite points ! I loved learning about the first prison and women's prison and the people and the well itself and the cache hide. So good.Thank you for showing me this and creating something special for us all to enjoy.

Thank you for the historical information. We're home schooling and visiting Port Macquarie. Beautiful town. Phone had a little trouble finding it definitely stumped us.
It wasn't in the bag anymore.

This evening I went for a walk along the waterfront and the city for some geocaching. I couldn’t find this cache.

Nice info about the well. The cache is about 8m S from where my phone told me it should be but the place where it was secreted was an obvious choice. The cache could do with a little love. TFTC

Tricky to find.

Very difficult find. We are on holiday in PMQ thought it was fun to look for this cache since it was near our stay. Lots of bugs but very good spot. Wishing u well (hint tree)
