I went straight to the sprinkler head. Couldn't open that, so figured not the cache. I once managed to open a sprinkler head cache hunting. Unfortunately it was a real sprinkler head. It had a spring. Took me ages to get it back together. The next cacher did the same thing, but couldn't put it back together. Very tricky those things to put back together because of the spring. More careful now.
Reperio 10:29Day 3 of our Wagga Wagga trip, and Master Vitruvius and I started the day out with a FTF, followed by a drive out to Uranquinty and The Rock. Mostly every cache was found in good condition, and for the third day in a row, had a fantastic day out caching. This was a good spot to pick up a cache and grab some snacks. Cache was quickly spotted on arrival.Gratias baby&Mrs gopherAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Found with tassie expat. Well done, great cammo but I'd heard of these.Accurate coords and in good condition. Thanks
Parked the geo-vehicle to provide some cover. A quick find. Good hide. Would loved to have taken a cutting from a nearby plant but can't look after it on the road. TFTC
Very clever. Spotted cache due to clue but still took a while to confirm. Cold night in The Rock
On my retirement sebatical, and I had swung by here earlier in the day and spotted something that seemed obvious. Left empty handed. But I kept thinking about it and it was really annoying me.After accomplishing the climb of the rock, I swung by on the way out of town, this time successfully.
Nicely done hide and container, only took a minute to spot something out of place and figure out the way to access.
My first find in Lockhart Shire. I was lucky to get picked up by a guy driving to Wagga, so we made a quick stop. Great container!
After a big week caching around Canberra and attending Mega, it's time for the slow "detour" home and ticking off new LGAs. Today the gumboots are out after the first rain we have had for the whole trip. A lovely area to visit with quality hides. Have seen a few of these around home. They blend in nicely. Thanks for creating for us all to enjoy. ...................................................Nominations for the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** are now open and will close on **17 April 2024**. Heymissjo and I arrived in town as Sunday was fading. As I always love to see, the town was completely deserted at this hour. I had admired the growing silhouette of The Rock growing on our drive down from Marrar.Heymissjo did the honours here while I wondered around the corner to take a photo of The Rock. It didnt take her long as she is VERY familiar with this kind of hide. Thanks so much for bringing us here. This was our very last geocache on our 8 day epic road trip from Melbourne to the Capital GeoBash Mega in Canberra, to the legendary Frying Pan (in the hills north of Newcastle), back through the Blue Mountains and now picking up some NSW LGAs on the way home. Thanks so much for our Lockhart Shire smiley. Now, the drive back to Melbourne
#1894Having driven up from Melbourne for the Canberra GeoBash Mega, The Welder and I decided to head up further north for a few nights staying in Umina Beach and even make it as far as Frying Pan in Dungog, one of Australias oldest caches. But its now the downward trip home with some big long drives. Last night we stayed in Cowra and today our destination is back home in Melbourne. But there is no better way to break up the trip with some caches particularly as there as still some LGAs in NSW we dont have. This will likely be the last one before we cross the border into Victoria. As the sun goes down we reflect on the awesome week we have had with 27 new NSW LGAs collected! Now for the long drive back to Melbourne.
Canberra GeoBash DashDay Seven: Wagga Wagga to Barham. Weather: Rain!!!A quick find here thanks to the generous hint. This is a very quiet town, and this is my first cache here. Thanks for the hide baby&Mrs. gopher.
A very cool but also easy find thanks for the given hint or it could of taken alot longerGreat little town here! Thanks for the cache
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Wending our way towards Canberra for the Mega. With a stopover at The Rock to say Gday to baby&Mrs gopher this morning we were lucky enough to accompany them on a maintenance run. After lunch we headed out on our own to grab a few more caches. Found It!A surprisingly quick find here. Spotted it as soon as I arrived. Then got an icecream from the nearby shop.TFTC
This one was very tricky, we were about to give up with my partner and find it at the last minute !
Great hide! such an original camouflage! Rate 10/10. On our way to Mildura we spent the night here, and after a hard search we were about to give up TFTC!
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 18: Time to leave Wagga Wagga and head further south to Albury. Lots to do today along the way.A clever hide. Had a few natural features attack during the search phase. Cache is in good order. Thanks baby&Mrs gopher for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY EIGHTEEN: After a few nights camped at Oura beach, it was time to move on, heading south. After both being spiked by a nearby plant, we tentatively moved around, checking this and that, until I uncovered the sneaky blighter. Nice one! A fav point heading your way. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, baby&Mrs gopher ~~
Out and about today exploring the area with Geowife and Geodogs. What a cracker of a hide, love these caches. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Found after some help from previous logs. Nice hide.

Caching with Oddiewan and our improving 4-legged cacher pup, we are on holiday and headed to the Rutherglen mega for Easter weekend.
Almost gave up on this one and then saw what I needed to get to the logbook. Cache in great shape. The i termal co trainer is one I have not seen in a very, very long time.
Thanks for the fun, baby&Mrs gopher

Improvised with a key ring to unscrew

Stopped in The Rock for lunch while travelling from Deniliquin to Junee.
Checked the map and saw there was a cache just across the road.
Found easily but couldn't remove the cache. Used pliers to just unscrew the top and access the log.

Cool little tricky container. TFTC. Perfect spot just out of the rain too! SL at 13:55pm.
TFTF. Miss 7 found it! Took a bit of playing with to get the log out but Miss 10 worked it out.
Found on our Wagga Wagga trip. Wanted to come to the Rock briefly to do the labs and virtual and nabbed this one on our walk down the Avenue of Honour. Quick find at GZ - cool hide construction. Lovely buildings and landscaping around here, quiet today too. TFTC!
**Found en route to Wagga**
Out and about with Happy Pants and The Empire as we head North to catch up with family and friends (The Crew) for a few days away to Wagga.
It was great to be back on the road and traveling. Won't take that for granted after 18+ months of not being able to leave Melb Metro with Covid. Completing the local Ad Lab and grabbing a couple of caches we came across along the way.
A nice straight forward find here with good coordinates. We left our mark in the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache baby&Mrs gopher and for highlighting this area. Appreciate your efforts.

Staying at Henty Showgrounds and came up here looking at doing the caches on Noskes/Braithwaites Lane, however we were stopped by a large fallen tree from the South and a couple of washouts from the North. Will need to revisit after it all dries out.
We looked around The Rock and managed to grab the Lab caches and a few trads. Will need to come back tomorrow to finish off the others along Bullenbong Road. A reasonably sucsessful day with only a couple of DNF's.
This one was easy out, but harder to replace.

Another really neat hide by Baby and Mrs gopher. We had to do about 5 circuits of the main street before this one became free. Our last lap saw police car heading towards us...oh no, we thought we had been sprung stalking The Rock! Sigh of relief when he passed by and we made the find. A fav point for this one. Tftc
This one presented a bit of a challenge as several of the local muggles congregated in the area sitting outside the nearby store. They were then joined by another with 2 dogs. We just had a chat, and he didn’t seem to disturbed by what we were doing.
Today we moved from Wagga to The Rock. Not far, but to a great camp at the Rec Reserve and an area with quite a number of caches. We were here reasonably early do dropped off the van and began the day touring with geocaches as our guide. The 2 Adventure Labs in town were our starting point, one a reflective trip down the Main Street and the other a mixture of historical sites and places of interest.
Couldn’t resist a coffee and cake at the local cafe before heading out of town again. Good home-baked apple slice, and good coffee couple with a chat to a number of the locals.
We got to the town ‘drop-bear’ and there met baby&Mrs gopher a lovely couple of local cachers and had a chat. Baby’s advice was well received so we headed out on the bMg trail after going to The Rock reserve. We completed all the trail with only one DNF. Some great containers and a variety of hides and varying difficulty. Not just your regular power trail.
Throughout the day we collected traditional, multis, a letterbox and an Earthcache.
Thank you so much to the local cachers for your efforts, it is much appreciated.

Find was nice and easy, hardest part was waiting for a good time to go in for the retrieval!. Quite a busy street!. Thanks for the hide, all looks to be in good working condition.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a very well designed hide. The log was extracted and signed. However reassembling the cache was difficult - getting the top to align with the base to avoid cross threading was not easy. In the end, the smaller hands of Mrs y'stasie secured the cache container. Thanks baby&Mrs gopher for the cache. It earns afavourite from us.
This was a a very clever cache in another lovely little place. I have passed through The Rock before and have viewed the actual rock from a distance numerous times, but I have never looked around here. So glad I stopped this time. I will return.
Out for a drive with Black Bunny and decided to grab this cache as we passed by.
A quick grab and thanks for another cache baby&Mrs gopher.

Headed to The Rock this weekend to tackle Kengal with Albida33, nibletricecakes & GLISS! Unfortunately fitzy_1965 was sick so didn't make the trip up to the top.
With a bit of time up my sleeve before meeting the others, I did a bit of caching around town.
