We're going to have to log this as a DNF today - looking at Google Maps, we can see the likely place that the cache should be, but at and around GZ there's lots of freshly dug soil. So we suspect the cache has been dug-over. Photo attached for confirmation, in case we're wrong, though!
had to be creative as there was a man sitting in his camper van
good one
thank you for the cache

On a 'run' up the Wairau Valley today. And what a great day; blue sky, frost on the road side, snow on the mountains, clear, cool, and beautiful. Thanks for all these neat caches I have had a very busy day.

Thanks to bumandworkerfor placing the trail.
Decided to do the circuit today; Nelson to Nelson via Tophouse and Havelock.
I looked at this rock for a while having taken the cache title too literally. How does he know[?] Then I looked at the road sign - doh.

Day two of a four day Nelson / Marlborough caching trip - Today’s itinerary was travelling from Blenheim to St Arnaud by way of the Wairau Valley. The weather was overcast with some misty rain to start with but it improved as the day progressed. This was one of a number of caches I found today. SL TFTC
A quick park and grab. Rain was awesome - torrential.
So severe that I stopped and videoed it!

The cords were all over the place on this one. Easily found on way backdown the valley. TFTC
Out doing the Wairau Valley power trail with Kiwi Grandad today. A fun trail with generally nice parking spots and a good variety of hides. Thanks bumandworker for placing them all.

Thanks for all of these cool caches!
Mrs S was expecting a marked feature so was looking for a roadsign. Sobad saw from the car GPS where it was. Short walk back to find the cache in an obvious spot.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Continuing down SH63 to find the caches on the power trail as we head towards Blenheim. Cache neighbours have a good Christmas spirit (see photo). the geomobile is now getting caught by the strong winds and the pine trees are on a lean... roll on summer... TFTC.
7th find for the day. I'm getting good at this now, can find without reorting to GPS. TFTC
One of many caches found on a trip to Chch and back around New Year. Many thanks to all the owners of the great caches I found on the way - most enjoyable to be caching in the South Island for a change.

I don't usually like or write template / copy / paste logs but do make the odd exception for 'power trails'. A quiet day 'at work' today so decided to take a drive and check out the new trail of caches from St Arnaud to Blenheim. I'll try and comment if anything stands out for me about particular caches. Anyway, thanks b&w for taking the time and effort to set up and place this trail. I certainly enjoyed the variety of hide styles and containers along the way. Clever. TFTC, Biggles.
FTF 1425hrs . Our turning around point today. While I could hear the siren song of further FTFs, the family had had enough so we headed off to pick some cherries before catching the ferry. TFTC bumandworker.
We were sitting on a hillside in Tasman when we found notification of the new caches so we decided we were mad enough to head that way. This resulted in 19 FTFs between 5.40pm and 7.25pm and 2TF on the rest plus a very pleasant drive down the Wairau Valley. Some clever caches too. TFTC.
After an event in Mapua and a cache run around there to tie up lose ends email was checked. Notification had came through of a new trail and we just couldn't help ourselves. 19 FTF between 17-40pm and 19-25pm as a result then second to find for the rest. It was much fun doing this trail with the variety of placements. The effort to have made it happen is appreciated. TFTC
