As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Went for an even walk around the coastal walkway after arriving in Timaru. Took a little while to find the cache, it was about 10 metres away from my indicated GZ so I spent time looking in lots of places close to this and it wasn't until I widened the search that I found it. I'm wondering if part of the cache hide is missing, it looks a bit incomplete... Signed log, TFTC
just checked dashing rocks and found that it has been muggled and some what destroyed, will do my best to repair, other wise will have to archive.
Log book really wet, I didn't have any plastic bags on me to try protect it. Might need to use water proof paper or change container?
Took a wee while to find but got there in the end. Great cache. Added to favourites. SL TFTC
Amazing. This is one of my all time favourite cache hides. Thanks for the effort that went into this.
outstanding what a great cache I will gladly hand out my first favourite to this cache. I found this last weekend after dropping off a couple of pigs at the works , but held of logging it until I could return with my fellow cachers ( the kids ) . we have been coming up here nearly every time we are in timaru and were always in the right area but only got it in the bag with the new gps. kids needed a little guidance but the eldest got it in the end they were all very impressed. tftc
Took a couple of attempts. Very clever hide! Definitely needed to just stop and look.
A great day at educamp, needed to go caching and this one popped up as being a favourite in the area. A group find. Love the hide and the view.
This was brilliant, a great way to end the working week. This is how all urban geocaches should be, simply the best. A must do if you are ever in Timaru. Logged as a favourite.
always impressed with the first hide is such a good one - look out locals this cacher could become the bain of your caching just like G2 is in Auckland ( the sight of his handle makes hardened cachers squirm..)
what a brillant hide - and so obvious - almost find one's self looking to hard, when its right there in front of one. Log book is wet - love the recycling of the container but suggest a screw top to keep the moisture out?

Nice morning for a walk along the Dashing Rocks track. Quite a heavy swell crashing on the rocks below. Cache was found not where I first thought it would be. Nice hide. T4TC
We had to be careful doing this one as it was at night. Very clever. TFTC.
Not a good start for the morning....33.33%. Had a goo look around but GPSr did like this spot and was bouncing around a good deal. No luck for me today.
Found it eventually, at night, GPS was only accurate to 10 metres.
Met an awesome hedgehog at GZ, it posed for a photo

5010. Last day of a four day geocaching tour around Mid-Canterbury and South Canterbury to get our 5000th cache. Knew where to go and where to start from several other geocaching visits so parked and walked. Not many muggles around today. Spotted the cache hide immediately we arrived at GZ. Was sitting writing in the log looking perfectly innocent when a dog walker went by. All of a sudden, out of the blue he said "Are you doing one of those geocaching things?", and carried on walking! No idea how he could tell!!! Nice hide by the way, even though obvious to an experienced cacher. Now off to do more caches on the way home to Christchurch. Thanks, Rodney and Iris.
Came this way for a swim at the bay. Always in two minds about this type of hide.
Great idea for a cache
First to find in the neww year - and on the first.
Cheers

Nice loop walk and great views. And again, Heafudd M wasn't leaving till we'd found it! We hadn't seen one like this before - very clever. TFTC
I shall look forward to finding this... Too scary with Baby-Organists in tow. Gorgeous day today, so off to a playground.
A very nicely crafted cache - well done for a first hide. A Bitsprayer in the making methinks? Had to widen search and then on reflection as to where the arrow was pointing, I spied the clever hide. The beauty of the area was somewhat spoiled by the squealing of pigs at the nearby slaughterhouse and the aroma was not therapy either - but I like bacon and no, I don't feel guilty.
Great first hide, GPS was a bit out for us, but spotted it in the end and a Fav Point from me
What a great start to a days caching heading north with Bitsprayer. Amazing views across the bay this morning, I had plenty of time to enjoy them as we searched high and low for this very clever hide. Well done!
