Out and about collecting caches and turning the green to yellow on our map. This was one of bumand worker's caches that we had not yet found so it was good to add it to the tally with a nice quick find. The container had a damaged lid and we have made temporary repairs to it which will hopefully hold for a while. One day it will need a new container.tftc#9769
Nice and easy good wee trades. Paper is a bit damp might need a new lot at some stage
Cache in sight IF you happened to stop here and look in the right direction. Most amusing.
Log damp but pen worked fine.TFTC.

With the Memory Lane souvenirs up for grabs, what better than a power trail to tick up some points. All good here.
Day 4 of Nosynel's and my geotrip through the Molesworth and back through the Lewis. Today we are heading to St Arnaud after staying the last 2 nights with Arandee. Thanks for the cache.
The big Molesworth circuit is in progress. Today is day three of Jude _E and my geotour. Thanks to her kind son we have use of a Toyota Hilux, extremely helpful indeed. We stayed a night at Blenheim with some of Jude's friends and are staying at St Arnard tonight.
I wanted to find a large cache, some solved puzzles, some park and grabs and a few others on the way.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.
Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Eltee291, Hingis20 and I are on our way to St. Arnaud today. Got to get em all!! Tftc.
Quick find late this morning with eltee291 and crman1 on the way out to Saint Arnaud. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache, bumandworker!
Found today with hingis20 and crman1. Sitting around wondering where to caching today and both hingis20 and I both came up with the idea of heading to Saint Arnaud seeing as how it was was going to be a nice day. Thing is, I was in the house and he was in the caravan when we thought of it. On vacation here from Victoria, BC, Canada and visiting with my daughter and her family. TFTC

A quick afternoon drive, down past Wairau Valley township for Jo and I to grab a handful of caches that should not be taxing finds. And for the most part, they weren't.

After some planning Shannonp1 and I got sorted for a mission into areas we hadn't been. Up to Hanmer through the Molesworth to Blenheim, down the Wairau valley to St Arnaud down the Shannandoa to Murchison and then home via the Lewis. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners especially Bum and Worker and sorry for the cut and paste.
A personal challenge day for us. Beat our 'most caches in a day. After a late start we left Motueka at 9:45 and headed south. First cache was about 50KM away. Once we got to SH63 it was park and grabs all the way to Blenheim. From there it was a few caches in town before a burger and a return to Motueka. Home 11:20pm with target achieved. Thanks to all the cache owners for their placements.
So a few weeks in the planning phase, me and Surveybase finally got out and about for a mission. Through Hanmer, up the Molesworth to Blenheim, across through St Arnaud, Murchison and then home. 209 caches for the weekend and a pretty high success rate. Thanks to all the cache owners and sorry for the cut and paste. Cheers.
Out and about with a bit of a time limit in the daughters car.... so up this way for a drive.
Running out of time fast - so this is my turn around spot. Plenty of room - cache a QEF.

#1403 Container dried and split bag replaced. The log book is damp so it may sweat in the bag and container. If others can spend a few minutes waving it around it may dry even more than I was able to help it in the few minutes I was here.
Thanks for another South Island smilie.
Thanks for another South Island smilie.
NZDi and I have been planning a few days away up at St Arnaud in the Nelson Lakes. Normally this trip takes just over an hour and as we can't check in to our accommodation until 3pm we would leave around 1.30pm. Today we left just after 8am and made it into St Arnaud just after 3pm.
Of course something delayed us along the way and this was the sixteenth for the team and the tenth for me as I had already got six of them. Logs were signed with Kiwimykl + NZDi, KM + ND or variations thereof. In most cases the caches were in good order but when not, log sheets or ziplock bags were replaced where necessary.
Thanks to a helpful hint this was a QEF PnG on our road trip to Lake Rotoiti.

[green] Some time ago I and a couple of friends launched an attack on St Arnaud, but were unable to complete the area. So today after work I am heading back to finish what we started. Which means getting there first!
Signed in logbook as Visa96, but have created a new profile, since my old one was shared with a friend. Found in company with 'zliber' - TFTC

Holiday nearing an end and caching towards Blenheim now.

Straightforward find. Cache in order, log signed; safely re-hidden, just as found.

In Richmond on a wee family holiday. Headed out for the day with KiwiMoose on a caching mission through St Arnaud and up the Waiau Valley- to save on the possibility of RSI we signed logs as KMTG.
A long fun day. 150 caches total. Nice one. Cheers.

Most of the GZs on todays road trip had good parking, and all of the logs were in good condition. Some did have a wee bit of water, but the contents were fine.
Well, work has finished for the year, and it is time for the annual road trip to Auckland. Today was from Christchurch to Picton, a longer way.

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
This was it - one of the caches on our big day
Consec caching day # 702

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
Today was to be our biggest day. S planned the route to cover the most possible easy to get P&G’s but we ended up not limiting ourselves to only those. D2.5? Why not? Let the brain have a bit of fun! D3? I am sure we can get there quickly!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!
Come and join us the next New Zealand geocaching MEGA event!! Register your interest now at www.nzmega2015.com to receive newsletter updates and be the first to know. It will be a great event, come and be a part of it!!

We hadn't travelled on SH63 before so decided to travel home to Richmond from Blenheim via the scenic route, and of course, pick up one or two caches as well our total for the day was over 60). Many thanks for the hard work setting up this trail - for the varied hides and especially for the safe parking nearby. We had great weather for the trip and really enjoyed travelling on this quiet road.
So.... which line of trees is it going to be....Aah, that one. TFTC.

On a 'run' up the Wairau Valley today. And what a great day; blue sky, frost on the road side, snow on the mountains, clear, cool, and beautiful. Thanks for all these neat caches I have had a very busy day.

This Tree Line End marks my 500th bumandworker cache. The variety in hides, containers and locations are always a surprise and as I have put elsewhere - have added a richness to my life. I can't thank you enough for that. As per today there's still another 572 to go but they get put out at a quicker rate than I find then so it often appears its a bit of a losing battle - no complaints about that though. TFTC #4845
