An unusual spot to be exchanging Christmas gifts but an interesting creek and golf course nearby.
All ok. One slow driving muggle. Our running mate is back from NZ and about to tackle the next 2800km to Darwin. Caching around Red Hill and Crystal Brook while he restarts his run.nic.hil.kel, I found Secret Santa - 2012 Crystal Brook today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Decided to grab some caches on the way to Port Broughton this morning for veterans golf. Nice quick find TFTC
Today I went with Michells&Hound and Gridge98 on a roadtrip up to Port Pirie. A great way to spend a Sunday. A stop off at the bakery as I was getting hangry! TFTC.
Today I headed out with CourtneyRose and Gridge98 for a mystery tour to Port Pirie and back. We travelled many kms and found lots of super caches. The gnomes at Clements Gap were particularly good.
Quick bakery lunch in Port Pirie and then back via random country towns and back roads to Adelaide.
An enjoyable day with around 45 finds for the day and the World out to rights.
Nice quick find here TFTC

Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
Looks like the brief warm weather had gone and rain ️ is in the way so we are out with iluvtrekking grabbing finds while we can remain dry. Thanks for the hide.
Found after a catch up with a dear friend back from Canada!

Found on a trip to Crystal Brook and Port Pirie with Team Waldron for a few days. It rained steadily for the morning but gradually eased by mid afternoon. The aim for the weekend was to find as many caches as possible in the area which we accomplished with damp clothes, soggy shoes and a muddy car! Thanks for the cache nic.hil.kel!
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So then it was down to the Eyre Peninsula to see the sites down there Venus Bay, Coffin Bay National Park and Lincoln National Park were some highlights and I will come back again to have a better look around.
So after nearly 2 weeks spent on the Eyre Peninsula it was time to start heading back to Victoria but another lockdown in Vic has just occurred so now to change my plans again.
So I rounded the bay and started heading back down the Yorke Peninsula to check this part out.
So after relocating to Crystal Brook I am able to spend the whole day exploring so after having 4 new boots fitted to the Geocruiser in Port Pirie this morning then finding a few more in town and then headed back to finish off the ones around Crystal Brook.
The weather has definitely warmed up a lot as it is now in the very high 30’s so definitely need to keep hydrated.
I came along this way looking for the old railway bridge, found it and realised it is not in use anymore as a freight train was going overhead on a different bridge.
A great idea for Secret Santa Caching and it is good to see you paying back by placing a cache for all of us to find.
So after finally locating the cache I added my name to the log and on to the next one.
Thanks nic.hil.kel TFTC.

Up here nice and early with a Muggle mate railfan, i was gonna be grabbing hides between the trains [that can be long lengths of time] so i made the best use of that time as a Cacher does [^]
This hide was first up. I was looking in all the wrong spots at first but then the cache was located and the log was signed at 09:23 on Sat 16 May 2020.
All is good and dry within the cache

Our GPS units were a little slow to settle at this location. However once they started to behave consistently, the cache was located quite quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks nic.hil.kel for the cache.
8587 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1345. Took a few minutes to find this one. SL Tnx nic.hil.kel
Had the two littlies with me, so worried about snakes. Not too much exploring off the beaten track
On the way to Adelaide, detour and signed the log as EV and thanks for the cache and hide
Here to watch the classic Motocross and get a cache or two. This was easy enough to find in this beautiful shady spot under the trees.
Found while travelling from the motocross back to home. Thanks for placing this cache.
On our way home from the Oz mega in Alice. another quick find to help break up the drive. tftc
Hi there nic.hil.kel.
We found your cache **"Secret Santa - 2012 Crystal Brook"** at 11:27:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16027).
Our trek today took us from Gladstone, through Crystal Brook and on to Merriton following the "next closest" route plotted by the GPS. Then it was through Wandeeran and Lauriston before heading back to Gladstone using the same method.. On our trek we found a variety of container types. & ended up finding 18 caches with 0 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Port Pirie Day 2
Todays trip was down towards Crystal Brook, mostly on farming backroads.
We took a detour & went up into the foothills of the Southern Flinders Rangers.
A great day out, many scenic locations & learning more of the history in the area.

It has been a while since we have done some serious caching so we decided to head north with earthlight for a few days and meet up with The X Trailers in Port Augusta as they pass through there on their journey homeward bounds to QLD and cache along the way, we have set up camp in Pirie and plan on grabbing a few of the local caches around the area, a nice quick find for us. TFTC
After visiting Mr J's grandmother in Crystal Brook, we decided to head on to Port Pirie via this cache. The container was found quickly, and we were soon on our way again.
Secret Santa left gifts for us on three occasions, but we've only ever found two of them. There is an unclaimed Secret Santa gift on the outskirts of Clare if anyone's interested.
Thanks nic.hil.kel.

A quick find on a quick Sunday drive with Stavros08 to Crystal Brook for a couple of caches. It's a pity that SS no longer rewards South Australian geocache hiders but can certainly understand. TFTC
Nice little trip out to the creak, thanks for the cache and for bringing us out here. Off road bikes going this way and that while we were here.
