On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.
Thank you for showing us this place and of course for the Cache.

Tuesday we went through the tunnel to Lyttleton to explore and back over the Port Hills. Stopped as we went past this one again. Had been given a hint so found in the place which I had previously looked at thinking it needs maintenance, a bit loose, but it's not a place you fiddle without knowing you have permission. Apart from that, very nicely done.
Agree with the concerns expressed by some previous finders. Have emailed CO and hope this well-constructed hide can be "regularised".

You've got me fooled! Unfortunately down for the mega so I will have no chance to come back for a while!
Out caching with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) while down for the CHC mega event. This was one of the caches we visited along the way. Thanks to all the owners of caches we found! TFTC
This was a great hide - shame it's now gone (as of writing this log)

Out on a MEGA adventure with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) lots of fun with a great mix of cache hides and cache containers, favourite for all of us for this one TFTC.
A 'quick stop' because we were going to be late for tea at the Mega, but it has such a high Favourite Point percentage... what eventuated will only be told during one of those 'most embarrassing caching moments' sessions with sympathetic friends at an event...
Well, this was fun, and the joke was clearly on us as we fell hook line and sinker for a dummy that was sooooo obvious. Yeah- it wasn't the cache, but we had a lot of fun with it!
Now we know the secret, and we twigged it on the way back to the MEGA for tea, but we weren't going back! No time. This one will have to wait until next visit.

Out hunting today with Team FARKIS (FMZ, Alpenmilch80, Rosmar, Kiwibug, Indiana Jill & Slieschke). Enjoyed my time out and a lot of laughter’s with this crazy bunch collecting geocaches all around CHCH. Great geocache. Gave a fav. TFTC
Had a dnf here a couple of weeks ago. After getting another hint from the CO I returned with vengeance on mind. Parked up on the glorious day and wandered to the G. Hidden in plain sight I scored the priE ..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC TheWanglers, from TeamMcI, 20 October 2015 13:38, cache number #939!
Muggles lay around as I passed by, and then muggles again on my return trip 2hrs later. But they drove off as I was sipping my waterbottle on a very hot day. Cache soon in hand. But its construction might be pushing the boundaries a little. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2338)
Took me a while to find even though I thought I knew what I was looking for, which ended up being the case. Weel set up, gets a favourite from us - thanks also for bringing me to this lovely spot, this walkway is such an asset to the city. TFTC TheWanglers, #8186
Had to wait for some muggles to go away before nabbing this one. Great cache - many thanks!
Very clever hide, had me stumped for a while but then sat back and thought about it. Was humming a little tune as I found it. Tftc - The dog isn't going to let me get away with just a park and grab though so off to find something spooky.

This weekend Mrs Dragon and I took a longer break than normal as a chance to catch up with a few friends and collect the odd cache or two all on a grabaseat deal from home.
Thankfully the weather stayed most excellent throughout and we managed to see many of the sights that we had not visited previousley.
Travelling back from Akaroa for lunch and collecting a few caches along the way via Diamond Harbour (as had never been this way before). Time to head back towards the city and take a few memories along with us. Slight Diversion here for this cache
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

I love this cache! Very clever! I've seen these a few times before, it's great finding them every now and then.

Found it just as we were about to give up and move to the next cache - very cunning. TFTC
Back up here today to do another section of the Rim track . Had to stop here while passing as car park was deserted.
Found cache within a couple of minutes, in the area we started with last week. Very well done. Thanks

Yay- I tried that last week but it didn't work- how come it worked for quinella. Found and loved it. Tftc
Slowly get in tune with the CO's modus operandi, it didn't take too long. A nice drive today in the area.

A frustrating attempt with regular muggle interruptions . Will have a better look on a less busy day! (Good excuse anyway!)
Going to have to come back some time when it's not a sunny Sunday and the place is full of muggles.
Not a successful caching outing. My phone when flat as I approached the next cache up the track so it became simply a nice afternoon walk with the dog.

Haven't seen one like this before. I had a semi-decent look around as soon as I arrived, but admitted to myself that since this CO is notorious for cleverly difficult caches, I should probably put a bit more thought into it. I sat down and read the better part of all of the logs to see if anyone had given anything away, sadly they just confirmed what I already suspected. I had a few hunches, and one of the things I saw a couple of times from other finders is that if you have a hunch, go with it, because I eventually found the cache in a place I had thought of earlier on and not looked... I was just about to give up too! TFTC (1886)
Well, this took a bit of sorting. Very sneaky and inventive. A favourite from me. TFTC.
We were up here to pick blackberries and I realised today was a calendar day I needed a cache. This one was along the road so it was chosen. We had a hunt around and finally it was my mum who located the cache. Very clever hide. I have not seen one like this before. Now home to make jam... Yum yum! TFTC
What an incredible hide. It took a few unfruitful searches and some help from TwoSharpe to get it. A favourite.
We were headed this way to do the trail of caches down Kennedy's Bush Track with purdiepurdie, when she suddenly pulled over and told us we needed to find this cache! What an excellent hide, thanks.
With the help of my cousin we find this cache quickly.

Had been here once before but a good search was not made due to muggles at GZ that would have been rather interested if we had started poking about to much. Chelzea had a hint from her cousin and so this time we found with no worries. Have seen one like this before but still an excellent application. Great hide.
Spent about half an hour here looking ALL over the place, used GPS and a phone to no avail and also found that random random mini computer under that pipe that some other people have found.
Will come back in a few weeks maybe months if more found logs have been made.

Found tonight with Margaret. Very tricky. Searched for ages. Delighted when Margaret finally found it. Tftc
Well , actually I can report that all the fences are still in good nick. Some tensioners might need a tighter setup. The stairs are very fine but some bolts are pretty loose. The park ground is excellent , the grass was mowned , and even some boulders and stones looked polished. My German heart started beating, everything was so in order, awesome, and I even started singing............ But unfortunately the cache didn't show up. But then , when the frustration level increased to this certain peek, geocachers don't want to mention, I thought Merlelutz remember your roots. and so my little brain scanned all the caches I have found up to now , and bingo, it was the POCO cache , that cache that ran the whole scene at home crazy until I eventually found it. So I went, I saw and I was victorious, What a giggle when I found out who did the FTF and then I even understood the title of this cache. brilliant !!! That needs a fav point from me and TFTC.
Parked near GZ to go over to high as a kite. I had a DNF last time so thought outside the q=square a bit and eventually found. Was about to return the cache when some muggled turned up. I pocked the cache and waited out the muggles and replaced. Very clever Mr TW. TFTC.
Finally a reason for us to sing - and to kick ourselves that we did not find it the first time. We definitely like your hides, but have to plan the extra minute to find them. TFTC
When we started geocaching in Feb while in Lyttelton we failed to find this one after several searches. On returning from the UK to see the family again this month we tried again - and success!! Feel we might have improved our techniques over the intervening months. Really great hide, deserves a fav point. Tftc
Oh I love to go a wandering along the mountain track and as I go I love to sing my rack sack on my back - singing away and wandering today not likely - so much to do before tomorrow. RuruNZ was amazed I had this lightbulb moment and found the cache so quickly. Just have to sing along to the tune in your head really or was it something else that triggered the lightbulb ? This deserves a favourite point or three if I could.
Got to GZ having made our way along the Summit Road in bursts gathering smilies along the way.
We both had the same song going through our heads, but kiwicampnut approached in a straight line and at the right angle to make the connection and by the time I had made it to 0m she had it in hand.
For the record I will sing at Guide camps and also in the car, but only if there is no-one else with me!
Thanks for the smilie

With the sun beginning to set later and later I decided to head to the hills after work for today's cache. Prodded and poked in a few places at GZ before making the find. Another clever Wanglers hide. You seem to be making a habit of this. Have a favourite point. Thanks for the cache.
Awesome job by sayhelloegg in finding this one on our day out with munta. Great hide

One of many finds for the day out with Say Hello Egg and Rusty2337. Nice easy find, tftc.
6160. Back in the hills today doing a few caches. Found this one quite easily as we have seen this type before. Not quite sure about the geocaching etiquette, but it is clever. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
Didn't find it but had a sing anyway. Pretty sure the sheep over the fence thought I were a little bonkers.

Today our home group was out in Govenors Bay for a change of location, so figured while going out all that way, may as well find a cache!
Spent too long finishing off my cake to take with, so didn't have time to find one on the way there, but the way back in the dark was good. Late, and cold, but I needed a cache!!
Got here then, and started searching. Spotted a possible spot, but looked everywhere else first! After about 3 minutes of searching, I noticed my car lights starting to go dim... oh no... Quickly turned them of... likely I need to get a new battery. I haven't changed this one since I got the car, which was 2 and a half years ago, and I don't know when the last owner changed it... I just prayed the car would start up, as I didn't wanna be stuck out here waiting for the AA for ages!! (have jumper leads in the car... but would need another car for that! )
So after searching other spots, went back to the first possible spot I saw... why didn't I just start there from the start?!!!! Cache was right there!!! TYPICAL!!!!!!
But done for the day, and started the car... and it did start!! BOOO YAH!!!! Haha.

Difficulty 1.5? Should be easy, shouldn't it? Found a transmitter, which seems to have nothing to do with the cache, GPS had us all over the place, so we have to come back.
Found it this time, well BBear44 did. Haha. Fun cache and last successful cache for the day.
Very clever Mr Wanglers. Came with Nosynel who had DNF'ed on this, i was hopeing to find quickly as it was starting to get cold, oh did you check here......nah cos here it is, yay found quickly. Cheers
Finally getting dark on the longest day and we had lots of fun getting this one! GZ a bit off - maybe about 4m. Many thanks for the hide.
Third time lucky this time. LaVista were happy to stop here so I could have another go, especially as we were driving past it. They watched my antics but let me find it while offering encouragement on my hunt. This time the GPS let me get within 2.7m of GZ so that was a big improvement from the 4m distance last time. Nice to get it marked on my map as a smilie now.... not sure about singing down the garden path but being led down one... now that might be nearer the mark

Thanks Kiwi Moose for fixing this up. Very rewarding to find it. Did not realise it was a Wanglers cache and when I did notice I started looking in more tricky spots. Not dissappointed when I did find it. Gets a favourite from me. CHeers
Out today with Karma Reprint and he was amused to watch me hunt for it then surprised to see me find it where I did. Filled in the log and put it back where he had found it (and I) reckoned it should be. Interesting to watch cache creep eh, kind of made this great little hide into more of the mundane. Back to how it should be! Cheers
The cache didn't appear to fit in with the hint, but we found it that was the main thing, TFTH
Out for a bike ride Ch-Ch-Kiwi-Motukara-Tai Tapu-Sumner-Home. Long way to go for a cache but it was worth it. A Favorite, tried sing on the bike didnt work.
This was on my caching 'to do' list so took the opportunity to go west of Sign of the Kiwi with my muggle friend Sarah from Uni days who was down from Auckland. She was keen to learn about caching. We looked in the obvious areas without success. So decided to go with my instincts rather than what the GPS was saying. Then I saw something which triggered a memory of a previous cache.. could it be like that? And voila, it was! Very clever, I do love this sort. So well hidden and yet not hidden at all. It was a good one to introduce my muggle friend to caching. Deserves a fav from me. TFTC
Pushed and pushed everything but nothing happened. Saw a white thing, hmm, no that can't be it, too easy for the Wanglers, so carried on pushing everything. Had to PAF in the end (which I hate doing by the way). There!! Hang on, I'd pushed there!!! Grrrr. Glad to have found it now.

My daughter was keen to go for a walk so we headed for the hills. She brought a friend along. They hunted for the cache while I helped a maiden in distress who had left her lights on while she went for a run. They did well and soon located the cleverly hidden cache. TFTC.

Feels kinda sad to log the first DNF on here. I stopped briefly for a quick search but man, Saturday afternoon is not the time to look for this cache, what a busy spot! Nothing jumped out at me, and even after looking a bit more closely at a few things nothing "sang" for me. A few bolts are now loose so I'm not the only one that's checked out those lol. My GPS wouldn't settle and I could only get within 4.6m so in the end I gave up as had other places to be and had other caches to find before the afternoon disappeared on me. I'll come back at a less busy time and have a better look.
Didn't realise this was a WC (Wangler Cache) until I looked beyond the icon on my GPSr. So, in the spirit of doing other CO hides, I did the traditional wander around - singing "I still can't find what I'm looking for". Can state that the white topped object by the stile has nothing to do with the cache. I looked at the object inside and it had numbers on it - a radio station I thought and tried to switch it on. It can't be switched on so subsequent readers - discount that distractor. So- Aretha Franklin came into mind "Think" and "Walk Right Back to Me This minute" had me on the right track (get the pun?). Arriving at back at the original GZ of the GPSr saying 0m - I thought of M People's "Search for the Hero Inside Yourself" - and EUREKA and the song "Now that I have Found You" turned into Pussycat's "Smile". Definite +1 and thank you again for a well constructed, themed and thoroughly nice cache.
Great wee hide, took a bit of hunting to locate it. Cheers, another great Wranglers hide. TFTC.
What a sneaky hide, this had us going around in circles. We were initially too focused on the obvious. Tftc fav point
A lot of searching for this. A possible decoy got us and we stood back and looked some more. Great hide.
was quite difficult for me as a beginner but now that im back here putting in my log i have seen the picture that would of really helped me. Very sneaky cache!
Why do I doubt myself? Why when I thought: Could it be there? Do I dismiss my "crazy" idea and look elsewhere? In the end, Choco found it. Great hide. After we logged our find and I took pictures of a butterfly hanging around nearby, we went for a hike. It was a beautiful day.
Cunning hide and beautifully presented. Very wet up here, but the cache was cosy as!! Thanks.
No singing, at a very popular place. Took longer than it should have, but got there. Sneaky. Thanks for the hide.
Love the cache, Took a bit of thinking to get this one,, I did laugh as Rincewind3 found another object close by and in the eerie night time conditions while he pulled it apart and was examining the contents I gave him the ( look out yell ) lol. and once he regained his composure we carried on to look for the real cache. Thanks for a great experience . ( You had to be there to appreciate it lol ) TFTC. Cheers Bo
