I took the real Kehu (the 4 legged one) out to the beach today and pooped in to check on this cache. It's well and truly toast. I'll archive it and look to pop some form of replacement out here in the near future. Thanks for all the favourites.
Oh no! Thanks Team Jacers, I'll have to get out and have a look. Good excuse to get the dog (Kehu) out there for a swim. My caches are dropping like flies at the mo
Found "it" but no container left. In January there was a large fire in this area on Kina. Monsoon buckets under helicopters, lots of fire engines etc involved and "it" is still there but suffering severe burning. Hope owner can find another "it" for a cache home one day.
Tis Christmas Day and a perfect time to find the exotic tree and our 100th cache in NZ. Thanks for the cache.
Nice quick find on this one today while we were out taking our dogs for a walk.Gets a fav point.TFTC
Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #30 WAHOO. What a way to finish and certainly not the hide I was expecting. Worth a Favourite. TFTC
A glorious sunset as we walked along the beach. As we headed into the scrub using the little bit of light from my phone, we thought we would be beaten. No matter were we stood the cache was always 5 metres away, then as we gave up and started to leave we had 0m!! With a very large smile on our faces we signed the log and headed back down the beach in the dark.
We rewarded ourselves with Smokehouse fish & chips.

nice one had me going for a bit, probley because I did a bit of a bush bash from the road knew it has to be in there somewhere don't see a lot of those sorts of tree these days still GPS was spot on thanks.......worth a favorite from me nice to see the extra effort in cache placements
This one had me searching around for the elusive "exotic tree" but persistence paid!!! Gets a favourite from me. TFTC!!
worker seemed intent on a gorse bash. once we sorted that, all good. Nice cache thanks Kehu.
Nice One!!!!!!!!!The autumn day was one of those out of the book. Enjoyed our walk around the point and picked up a couple of caches as a bonus. Remembering the past, it was a shame to see the reserve and memorial in their present state. Otherwise, much fun. Thanks
It's becoming automatic, logging a Kehu cache as a favourite. This provided a big {grin}. Love your sense of humour.
Unfortunately I made the approach from the road side. Not the best. Found my way back out via the beach. Much better.

We loved our walk aling the beach, and the hide too. Intersting to see the stumps in the sand with partly excavated roots too. A fav for me. Tftc
With integersmirk. Lovely day for a walk around this area, few boats out fishing it seems. TFTC
A beautiful area for a morning walk with Ellie and our visitors. Very nicely camoed cache. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing these ones.

Arrived at GZ ( i actually overshot) Niteowlnz sung out she had it . A great little hide with a twist thank-you

A nice afternoon wander - such a shame the reserve out here has become sort of exclusive !!! really enjoyed the hide made me smile - thanks for the novel hides - certainly makes finding your caches interesting thanks for the cache
FTF with Flying Phoenix I saw this cache published yesterday but had things to do in a different direction. Thought that surely someone would have found it by this morning but when I checked it again I saw that it was still unfound. As it was in the general direction of our event today I hurried up FP and off we went. Parked the car near the locked gate and walked along the road until we were about 50m away. Bashed through the not too dense bush to the beach side of things and then back-tracked a little to the cache. Checked a couple of things on the way to the cache and then had the 'ah-ha' moment. Nice one! Another cool camo effort. TFTC, Biggles.
FTF yay it was awsome dad droped a trakeble in here thank you so much you are amazing at hiding geocaches Kehu AWESOME!!.
While we usually do read the cache page, Mrs SoBad has found the pages from this CO particularly useful. Today she had not really read it because she had assumed that this would be a cache for another day. However, with our chauffeur also keen to find it, we bush bashed in, joined some others near GZ and carried on following the GPS. This would have taken us to a find as the co-ordinates were spot on – it was made even easier by already being in another cacher’s hand. Read the cache page now before writing the log – and again enjoyed the prose. A nicely timed one –placed just around the road from the Indigo Event and…
Thanks for the cache and the cache page.
Thanks for the cache and the cache page.
Perfect timing for this one - arrived just as someone else calls "Here it is"! Nice cache thanks. Bashed our way in but took the much more sensible and enjoyable suggested route out along the beach. Thanks for bringing me back to this lovely area. TFTC #4251
After the event two caches were on the list that had suddenly popped up. After parking the car at the gate we walked a bit along the track, then bush bashed. At GZ the thick cover disguised the wild pine we were looking for. After having been joined by other eager cachers Holymu suddenly had the cache in hand. A most enjoyable cache and a fav. TFTC
A detour after the event took us to find this new cache. We had walked down the road then bush bashed our way in towards GZ. A bit of circling around still needed when we were joined by other cachers with Mrs SoBad's GPS pointing in the same direction as ours eventually behaved and counted down to and it was split second timing as to who spotted it first. Another great hide! TFTC.
Yeah. Lots of us are after wilding pines at this time of the year. Quite a tradition for ye olde Christmas tree. - - - One of the advantages of living in the country, over living in London or New York or some other big city somewhere. - - - We don't know how lucky we are!!! Hey thanks for placing the cache. Good one. BTW Left the key for a Ford Futura. If you can find the car, it's yours.
Saw this one listed on Friday and was surprised to see it hadnt been claimed this morning when I got up. Quickly got ready for Over The Rainbow event and took off to try for FTF. Bush Bashed to GZ and found the exotic tree, opened the log. Am I FTF??? No ... I was beaten by Biggles and Flying Pheonix by 18 minutes. Took TB and left another TFTC
Well I guess if we had decided to do some caching pre indigo event there might almost have been a pre event event at this cache site! Enjoyed the walk along the beach and definately found an easier way out than in. TFTC another favourite.
