Logs
Thanks robms68 for the cache. Its #2051 for us. We found your cache on Thursday 12 September 2024. Quick find after reading some old logs
Staying here for a couple of days. Found while quiet, not while the Cudgee Bar was open.Log has been snail chewed, cache is missing a lid.Off to get the Adventure Labs now.TFTC!
A nice quick find while exploring Woomera this afternoon and this was one of a couple of hides and also lab caches we did. The area was deserted so l had no problem locating the hide. Container was OK but the log sheet was a little weathered. Thanks for the hide.
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Openned the geocaching app to see I was staying 65m from GZ. Grabbed this one as we headed out of town this morning. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
Thanks Robms68. Easy find with local help. Container has no lid and has been weighed down to keep in place. How low can you go.
We went back in the morning to pick this one up. We had a few drinks at the bar the night before. A nice clean park to stay An easy find TFTC
Found! Thank you for the cache, nice spot for camping/cabin-ing on various trips.
Didn’t bother looking hard for this one. It’s in a caravan park and we weren’t staying there.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Day 1 of a 6 week trip, Adelaide to Darwin, and staying in Woomera overnight. Saw this cache was at the bar where we were staying. Wandered over early in the afternoon, but there were too many people around to search properly. Had some drinks at the bar during happy hour, so there was no opportunity to search then. Had to dump some rubbish later in the evening, and with nobody around, was able to search properly, and quickly located the cache without a lid, but that did not matter, as it was well protected. Signed the log and replaced as found.

With half the team heading home via Maralinga and the AnneBeadell the other half remained in Geraldton to help out sick friends
I am travelling with Geoturtle37, micaparamedic and Papi4506 picking up any caches most of us do not have.
I was the only one of the group that did not have this cache so walked to an area that has certainly changed since our last visit. The pub was open so we asked the person behind the bar if they knew of geocaching, which happily they did and said it was out side and he would not be serving alcohol for another half hour. All that was left to do was locate the cache which turned out to be easy and after adding our name to the log and returned every thing as it was.
Many thanks robms68 for 5he hide, shame we were not here just a bit later.

Day 21 of our greynomad trip up north and after a the JLWEvents, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, we are attempting to escape the southern weather that has been wet and windy.
Staying onsite, but it is fairly busy when I made a feeble attempt yesterday, so today was ideal to log another smilie in between departures and arrivals.
TFTC SL TB's visited.

Grabbed on the way out, with a little local help when I looked right through it. Missing lid, I think, but staying dry enough for now. TNLN-TFTC! I enjoyed my visit here, although you did look straight through the Vogons...

“A few drink s here and you may find yourself under the bar”. My 11 year old son asked what those people were doing looking around the back of buildings in the caravan park we were staying at and I said they were Geocaching. “Huh?” He shrugged. I said Google it. Which he did. And then he was off and in a few minutes flowing the clues and pics he excitedly found it. Looks like I have created a monster but what a great way to make our 6 week road trip more exciting. Why did I not think of it sooner.
On our travels we have stopped at Woomera for the night we thought we might stop 2 but the mozzies are on the rampage needless to say we were happy for the quick find and back in the car, thanks for placing this cache
My first ever find! Only got introduced to this ‘sport’ yesterday by another person on a tour with me who climbed down a cliff. I stopped here overnight on my holiday and thought I’d give this a go and found it! Addicted now!!
All very quiet in the park this afternoon which made for a perfect hunting ground. I arrived as the sun was just about to set and got a great shot of the horizon as I was driving into the grounds. [^]
At GZ, I scouted around a little checking places I would never find the cache, before scanning the surrounds and spotting what I was looking for in plain sight.
Out with the cache and log, I added my name to the list, tucked everything back in place and headed off.
Note that there is no lid on the container and I could see no sign of it in the area. Not an issue where is it hidden I guess, it's more about what might get in...
Cheers robms68.

Staying at my son's in Roxby, decided to do some caching, and ended up here with Loopy1972 in tow. TFTC.
Hmmm…
No luck here. We were also deterred by the sign. Saying strictly no access.

Found with AD25. The caravan park staff knew what we were looking for, but not wot it was!
Up early to do a day trip to Woomera with iluvtrekking. Very gusty and chilly . Replaced outer container as old one was cracked and wet. Thanks for the cache
Found with ricklink as part of our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We replaced the cracked container, all good to go. TFTC.

Drove out to Woomera today and collected caches along the way. I was born at Woomera Base Hospital (now gone) and my pop is laid to rest out there in the red dirt Had a fun day out and took heaps of pics for my research project and went down memory lane.
A bit worried about stopping here as inside the CP. But a quick find here. Lid is cracked. I didn’t have a suitable container to replace.

Day Five: Woomera to Morgan
The weather remains way cooler than around the red centre, much more conducive to travelling and geocaching. Morgan might seem like a strange choice for the last night, but I have my reasons!
This cache was actually inside the caravan park where I stayed the night. Given that I hardly saw a soul the whole time I was in Woomera, it would have been interesting to be here when the bar was open.
Thanks robms68.

Found it really good hiding spot maybe make it a bit less obvious love the hints thanks.
Found on the way out after staying a night on the road north. Didn’t have a pen on me but can provide pics if required by the CO. TFTC
No luck in finding it. The caravan park owner said it hasn’t been there for ages, and no one has spoken to him about a cache for months.
Treating this as a virtual cache now.

Amazing little town with a unique history.
The walk into town to see the visitors centre is worth it.

No way I was not getting this one. On a very windy Monday. The wind feels like it’s coming from Antarctica btftc
Both logs in same container . Found during family trip to Woomera and Maralinga. TFTC.
Out and about with Purrfect Di and Jack...
It did seem a little odd driving in here. But despite our strange parking and cache finding postures, noone seemed to care we were there at all. A quickie and on we go!
Thank you robms68 for another nice yellow smiley on our state geomap

Three weeks on the road for a family holiday to Alice Springs, Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon amongst other cool destinations had us traveling all over the place. We had a great time and the weather was extremely hot with bushfires that actually prevented us from going to some destinations.
This is one of my favourite places. I've been here on several occasions dating back to 1998 when you could stay in the rooms on site. The place has had several changes over the years and it was great to come back for a visit again.
Cache found and log signed.
Thanks for the hide.

Found on our return trip from Darwin. This place was eeriely quiet and empty. Coupled with a storm following, and so very dark and cool I was happy to find the cache and get out of there!
There was someone there, he drove up to us as I was getting back in our vehicle, and said to pick a spot and the owner will be back later. ..I thanked him and we left. Today, this was a perfect setting for Halloween!

I can't claim an actual find as the park owner stated it was missing so I have made a new one. If the original is found, please combine the 2. It might also help if someone can replace the container as I only had a takeaway one available and it won't last long.
Its a cool spot for a cache.

We stayed at the campside in town, in de desert, and we had a lot of rain!? How weird.
During the dry moment we had a short stroll through this formerly closed city, found 3 caches, and had a look at the open air museum.

Approached by local (cleaning lady in golf buggy) telling us they heard there was something here but not there anymore, haven't seen anyone come by for a long time and pretty much seemed eager for us to leave and advised to keep away from the cabins. However spied cache while talking to the lovely lady and snagged it when she left. TFTC
