No luck here..every time I seem to do one of this CO s cemetery caches it a big fat DnF..so disappointing when you travel 1000 of ks to the south to find caches0 and come up empty handed
Looked in and around the expired centre but nothing. Looked further afield and still nothing.
Stopped here on my way through to Tekapo for a mini-break. Signed the newish replacement logsheet, as the original is in a bad state. TFTC.
A quick find while wandering around the cemetery and I still had a couple of hours before I could check in at the motel
Day 2 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
Decided to stop for the night close-by, so having checked in it out to see how many we can find this evening.
Thanks for the cache Bitsprayer

On a trip with Ruru_NZ to gather the tour caches needed or in my case not done yet. Should be able to knock them off on this trip.
Cofounder accommodation up the road in Kimbell and the lady is a cacher. Decided while still light to do a few in Fairlie before dinner

A miserable day and a trip to Fairlie for the mid-winter fete led us to find a few in places we've only been to when there are lots of muggles around. Found this easily. Then Miss10 made the mistake of reading headstones and found the childrens area which in turn lead to a hot choc back into town to cheer her up. Tftc
On our way home from a lovely holiday with our cat Coco. Just had to stop at the Bake house for lunch. Then walked to this before making our way home.
Nice new flag flying, then into the centre to find the cache and sign log.
Thanks for this cache Bitsprayer.

A quick find. Am staying right next door! Original log is a sodden mess but some kind person has placed a replacement. Thanks for the hide.

Nice quick find, but the inside of the cache and the log are soaking. Someone has kindly put a bag with paper in there to sign.
Staying in Fairlie and had to stop to collect another cache in this delightful town. Centre indeed! The log book is quite manky so added a new strip of waterproof paper. Thanks for bringing us here Bitsprayer.
Found with Fisha1288.
Logbook wet.
I must get some replacements for wet logs as we go searching.

Easily found, but log too wet to write in. Can provide photo if needed. Kia ora for the cache.
Was in the right spot. Cache was just off dead centre but soon grabbed it!
Thanks
Thanks
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our last day in Fairlie before our scenic route home to Christchurch. A beautiful sunny day though started with a very hard frost, so we weren't in any hurry to get going this morning .
After collecting the info for the nearby multi, SW walked on to this cache, while I went back to the car to collect the walking poles as I suspected they would be helpful in winkling out the cache (and I was correct). Unfortunately, the car was locked, my keys were inside and SW was out of earshot with his keys. So off I trotted to GZ, hoping that he had found the cache by now. Nope. Grabbed his car keys and returned to car and decided to drive closer to GZ. By the time I returned with walking poles, I hoped SW had found the cache. He hadn't so I set to work and soon had the cache uncovered . Unfortunately, the log book was very wet, so a photo of the cache will have to suffice. TFTC.

#18505. Made hard work of this find too (it was chilly stomping round on the frost-covered grass). Glad when Troodles made the find. TFTC.
A wee bit of a hunt at GZ and we eventually had the cache in hand. The log is a little damp but all signed and tucked away nicely. Now to figure out the co-ords for the multi nearby. TFTC!
There was a time I used to be sh*t-scared of cemeteries but seeing so many have caches I now enjoy walking around the old plots. There was one plinth in the grounds that was 100 years old and looked like it was only built yesterday. Why doesn't my smart phone survive this long?
My son dug out the cache after tentatively thinking the tree was going to scratch him to shreds and we decided we would walk back to our motel via the pub for one quick drink. There were some local boys at the bar having a rousing good time and while I felt at home, my wife wasn't all that impressed with the colourful language they were touting.
We booked a feed at the Old Library Cafe which I highly recommend because all the meals are wood-fire cooked and I probably had the best eye-fillet there I have had all decade. My wife finally started drinking Sauvignon Blanc after tasting mine and suddenly the future looks brighter. tftc

Her to eat two pies, then geo cache. Then walk lovelock road to make sure pies are gone. TFTC
Was in the South Island on unexpected personal family matter and saw that there was a couple of new caches published in Fairlie so decided that since we needed to go to Timaru to see Family members we would go and check out these cache afterwards if time allowed.
After finding GC7FQD5 - Stonecold - Mackenzie College # 6, this was the next cache that I had my list to find today, saw there were a few new caches published this morning and decided that if time allowed and the FTF had not gone I would give it a go and see if I could claim a couple of FTF's.
We had just finished having lunch that we brought from the Fairlie Bakery, WOW they deserve a real thumbs up, great food the best that I have ever found in a bakery for such a long long time, well recomended to anyone in the area.
It was time for us to head back South to Timaru, but I decided that I would pick up a couple more caches along the way back. As we arrived into the local cemertry we decided to visit the spot and pick up the information for the multicache, it was so easy that we managed to solve it very quickly. While in here we also decided that we might as well pick up the other cache as well.
The walk over to GZ only took a couple of minutes and it didnt take too long to get to GZ, once there I soon spotted the clever hiding spot, retrieved, signed and replaced back as found. Thanks Bitsprayer for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this lovely walkway, TFTC TNLNSL (12880)

Found together with Mel180 on our way to Christchurch ! Thanks for the Cache !
Working with a PE, Technology class from Mackenzie College using Geocaching as the project. Look out for the new caches the students will be installing in and around Fairlie over the next few weeks. TFTC
On a mission from Rolleston to Tekapo, Twizel, Omarama, Kurow, Waimate and home again. Found over 100 caches, which was the goal for the day. A bit drizzly for a start but beautiful sunshine through the Mackenzie. Thanks to all the CO's and apologies for the cut and paste.
Did a stopover in my bike tour of the south island, now sunny and nice. Stayed at the holiday park at Fairlie, going to Lake Tekapo tomorrow. TFTC.
At the end my compas is al little bit dizzy. (is that good English?). Th exact location has to be searched within a greater area.
Hideeho Thanks For The Cache:) Greetings from the USA. Stopped by for some cache, just love stopping for Spirit Cache.
Found just on dark after spending a bit to long working on the nearby multi. Thanks for the cache SL Cheers 4 Now.
It never seems a proper road trip without at least one cemetery cache a day and this was the one for today. TFTC #8935
This is the second day of my two-day trip from Invercargill to Christchurch, grabbing a few caches on the way. A wet start to the day at Omarama, but improved as the day went on. A quick find, signed log and returned as found. Thanks for the cache.
this was our starting point for our hunting in Fairlie today. picked up the travel bug.
Another quick find while waiting for the holiday park to open.
Thanks from Belgium!
Thanks from Belgium!
Logbook was damp (but rest of container was still dry...??) So I took it with me and dried it, then returned it later that day
Driving back to Christchurch after a short time in Central Otago, collecting the occasional cache along the way.
I had a couple of TB I'd held on to for far too long - and this cache was just big enough for them.
Thanks, Bitsprayer. I hadn't visited this Cemetery before; pushed on with the journey and will return for the Multi.

Took me a bit longer to find as my GPS had me looking at the next tree but after rereading it and looking I thought like a CO and found it quickly.
Was surprised considering the hiding spot that this log was rather wet..... made sure lid was on tight before I left.

Third find of the day!
We were out today going around the South Island, doing some sightseeing and caching along the way. This was the third cache we found.
After finding a good park, and stopping, we headed to GZ.
We looked high, low, not here, not in there, before.... Found it!
We stealthily retrieved the cache, signed the log book and replaced as we found, wandering back to the car with a smile.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Signed the log.
Cache and contents are in good nick and coordinates were spot on.
TFTC!
