We picked up Carabat2 from Red Cliffs (GC369B)26/4/03 and took him touring with us around the Yorke Peninsula for a while. He also did a couple of trips to Adelaide and back for some final sightseeing in the area. He then came with us on our annual fishing/camping trip to Moorook (SA Riverland) and enjoyed the scenery so much he asked to stay a bit longer, so we dropped him off at Bonny cache (GC15F7) 18/5/03. We hope he enjoys the rest of his travels, looking forward to following his progress.

Alas! The Royal Park Stash (re-invented)is no more. The Dashing Dog Mac found the indentation at the appointed spot within 1 metre of zero but there was no container. This was a serious problem as we had dropped in early Christmas morning to pick up the Travel Bug (Deadly Duck: Anger) and take him with us on our holiday trip. Many potential geocaches beckoned, but now we will have to go alone. Sorry Geoff, it was a good idea but it is not to be. Thanks for persevering.
Regards,
Dashing Dog Mac and family

Unfortunately The Royal Park Stash has been plundered by persons unknown, and will thus be put to rest.
Who knows, maybe Deadly Duck Anger, the resident Travel Bug has absconded with the cache.

Just a quick visit to drop of Deadly Duck:Anger Travel Bug who had outstayed his welcome with us.
The cache was in good condition - no other exchange done.

We rescued Carabat2 from Mr Adams Construction GC565B last week. (In the Adelaide hills.)
Carabat2 is now enjoying a seaside adventure at Red Cliffs GC 369B while waiting for his next ride. He also had a short stop over today and played with Silvester TB at Surfers Paradise GC98A1. Both of these spots are on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.

Easily found in it's new location on a drizzly Sunday morning. I've been to this location before... Good cache, brought nothing so no exchange made.
Tony.

Yes, looks like the cache has been removed by a gardener when the area was mulched recently. I will have to replace it in a more resilient location. It is a shame the gardener did not call me on the contact number I left on the cache note.
Found the lady and rubbed her foot for about 5 mins before finding the date. It had been raining and the water had gathered over everything. Went the cache location but found only a smokers den (bong left on the ground.) It looks as though the garden had been recently re-done. Not sure if it got moved when the garden was being renovated.

Found by Kevin & Meredith at 5.00pm.
Our only problem was avoiding the walking dog set who were out in force.
An exposed location but good clues.
Left Cutter blade and took audio book
Good one

2nd cache in a day I'm on a roll, found the date easily as it looks as if someone has rubbed the lady's foot a lot. this cache was difficult to find compared with my 1st. Lots of scrub around. After about 30 mins managed to find it. Thanks for the walk in the park it was a windy day but a fun one.
Like the SES Rats, whilst providing foot massages to the swimmer we were looking for the candid camera crew to pop out of the bushes. However, suddenly all became clear.
The cache itself is very well hidden, though I am glad that we visited it on a Saturday afternoon rather than a week day.
We exchanged a one pound coin for an SES key ring.
Many thanks from Nicholas and Hannah

Found at 1630 by Mary & David. Some amusement rubbing the foot until all was revealed. The general location for the cache found easily, but it is indeed in the open and hard to tell if you are being observed or not. In the end resorted to the clue to avoid spending too much time looking rather obvious. Took an SES magnetic clip and left an audio book from Gorgeous Anakie Stash. Thanks again gmj3191.
Had fun trying to find this one! Spent a while rubbing the swimmer's foot all over before finding the necessary date - and thanks to the clues got the cache about 10 minutes later. Location is out in the open, so beware of the public. Swapped a purple fish for the stain remover.
Sorry for the delay in logging this cache but, we're on holidays.
Well Well Well we rubbed and we rubbed and nothing happened. We thought we must have been on candid camera or something. Then it all become apparent and we were off to the new coordinates. Once at the new coordinates we spent a bit of time looking and in the end we gave up. But not being one to lie down I went back and 'presto' I found it.
Took the blank cd and left the party poppers and some SES stuff.

Carabat 2 is heading north, making it as far as the Dingo's christmas bone (GCF6) today. It's not too far from the airport, so he may even catch a plane )

Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) at 9:15PM on Saturday the 6th of April 2002. We were on our way back home to Werribee from Pioneer's Chair so we decided to try this one in the dark, we haven't done many in the dark so we thought this might be a good opportunity to give it a try again. In hindsight, perhaps it was even the best time, I think it would be very difficult to retrieve this cache without being observed during business hours. We took the Ruth Rendell audio book and left a bottle of Selleys Stain Remover. The Co-ords were good and the cache was in good condition. Thanks, Ray and Maya
Okay, due to public demand I have placed this cache in a larger container. The cache seemed secure but the bear is gone. Could we please have a report from his rescuer?
The new cache is in a 2.3 litre plastic o-ring sealed container. I have enclosed a photo showing the old and the new. It's still not huge, but it is much larger than the previous mini cache, which did not exactly grab everyone's imagination!

Found at 5.50pm No sign of a logbook in the cache so we noted our visit on the back of the cache note. There was no bear in it either so maybe someone has visited and not yet logged the fact. We exchanged nothing. Greg and Bev
Fear not, as of 4pm, Carabat 2 is in safe hands and will be traveling north (although not by much) soon. Every trip starts with the first step, no matter how small it may be. Left a small bell, as it was the only thing we had that would fit in the cache.

I found the cache (with the help of the clue), but was unable to fit the blank cassette into the container. I liked the little bear left by the previous finder. Hint to next searcher - take something small unless you intend to take the bear.
I found this cache on a beautiful sunny Sunday accompanied by my wife Patrizia and my faithful dashing dog Mac. It was located in an exotic bushland setting in suburban Melbourne. The clues were suitably cryptic and the cache was well-hidden, but soon gave up its contents.
Being an ardent North Melbourne supporter, I picked up the Kangaroo Pin. In return I placed a small soft toy bear belonging to my daughter. She kindly gave it up so it could undertake the adventure of its life. Around its neck it bears the inscription MY NAME IS CARABAT 2. PLEASE TAKE ME NORTH FOR THE WINTER. We photographed the cache before replacing it and bade our bear farewell. We hope it reaches Cape York or Darwin eventually. This was an excellent cache in a city location.

Found it quite easily 12:20. Took 100 rupee note and left Japanese good luck charm, it should bring luck during examinations if my memory serves me rightly.
