found it quite easily, but i cannot retrieve it for the life of me! also not very green anymore
Well, that took a while to locate, that was the easy part. Now to extract it, eventually wazza9 got it out. I straighten out all the logs into a tidy state. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks for bringing us here to see the fence. Talked to owner of the property, he told us the background of the fence and the property.
TFTC,Working on building my LGA's cached.Found an extraction tool that produced a prize.Owner had a chat to us and told us what it was all about. Visited trackables.
Yay. Finally found it!!!!! With more experience we found this one very quickly
Spent some time In Maryborough with family for a milestone birthday and heading back to Tassie today but we wanted to pick up a couple of caches required for some challenge caches, this was one of them!Wow, this was hard to remove! Luckily we had the necessary tool to help us. Theres no lid, so we made sure we returned it so that the log wouldnt fall out.TFTC
Dont know why I hadnt got this one earlier, but today was the day. Talk about a hard extraction! Thanks Hurtle for placing these caches, for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
Luckily I did not need my welding gloves or other PPP. whats Hurtle doing in these parts I thought.. might as well get this cache from the legendary CO of many SA caches!! Ultimate cache placement when painters paint your cache. Interesting spot. Where are the clowns? Found on a sojourn all around during QOGM 2023 adventure. A fun jaunt with lots of dust, mud and starry skies. Thanks Hurtle and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! Caching buddy: noneCame to the area to collect my ASIC card.. google maps took me the long way here through rolling hills! The cache is very tricky to pull out. Luckily I had a tool in my car that I could use! Also, it's now red...not green! Take a look at my photos! They even painted the cache Thank you Hurtle, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
Was fun to find but is a bit hard to get out. May need something to help get it out
AT GZ I felt vert awkward, as the cache seemed to be very close to private property. I had a tentative search, but fortunately Muggle Husband was more forthright and thorough and found the cache quite quickly. This is an excellent hide in a very clever spot.
A steamy boxing day find. The hint is more brown than green but all more obvious once you're in the zone. TFTC
Mrs W today joined "Team Tassie" consisting of stainless-steel-rat, gooseandegg and Budgietas finding caches on the way back to the airport as we headed home after attending the Whittlesea Mega. It was a fun day to be out with great friends finding caches. TFTC
Well the Mega is over for another year and we're making our way slowly to the airport, picking out a few caches in the horrendous weather as we go. We had Mrs WW with us for the day..
Returned here after 5 years with a tool and finally can sign the log and avenge the DNF (had seen it, but unable to get it back then).
Thanks Hurtle, a long way from home!
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Tassie Trekkers, Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

A drive to the airport after the mega at whittlesea with goosenegg stainless rat and Whitewebs.
Cache was stamped with team Tassie.
Cache was painted my the person that last painted the fence. It was stuck in there very well but a pair of pliers got it out.

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Saw this one a few times when i was searching around the area and noted it has been a little unloved. Had a spare half hour between jobs, so i went on my way to GZ
Found it!
The log sheets (many pieces of scrap paper) were all jammed into a zip lock bag, then another bag and wrapped up and shoved into the original hidey hole, no mint tin to be seen....
However, upon further inspection, it looks like quite some time ago, a previous finder shoved the tin a little too far up and ruined it for everone.
I managed to fish the tin out, lucky there was no spiders in there (alive at least), replaced the many baggies with a new zip lock bag and then added all the log sheets back to the tin
I think i managed to replace the tin the same way the CO intended as it was partially painted the same colour as the fence... The painter must not have seen it there
Anyway, great spot and great hide. would have been a tricky one in the beginning and hopefully it is again
I would reccomend the CO head out and replace the log book at least as it's just a bunch of scrap papers that people have added over time, myself included as i couldnt find a blank piece to write on.
TFTC Hurtle!

TFTC Hurtle!
TFTC - was about to lose hope. Even looked in the gutter pipe hidden in the grass. Found previous comments helpful.
Looked all outside of the property, didn't want to enter due to signs, may need some maintenance
Found after a good search. Plastic bag not a mint tin but we think the mint tin is jammed into the hidey hole. TFTC
3 DNFs from 3 finders of less than 10 finds each, all on same day (presumably at same time) hardly warrants the automatically generated needs maintenance email from Groundspeak.
I will ask my maintainer to check on it next time out there. However I don't believe there is a rush...
You are looking for a mint tin hidden in the framework NOT a plastic bag with a piece of paper inside as a throwdown excuse for a cache...!

It was a bit silly and I didn’t really understand the clues! Couldn’t find it!
I found this today as I was over here to watch some planes taking off. The log was soggy so I've left a fresh sheet in a ziplock bag. Tftc.
It is there! Wasn't actually that difficult to find, put my fingers blindly hoping not to find a spider, and voila! So excited to find it. Log sheets are a little scrunched up, took it to the car to sign, returned back to the same spot. Great hide.TFTF
*For future finders, ignore the hint, it is not green. It is the same colour as the fence. If you look at the picture when it was hidden, the fence was green. It’s been painted, therefore, so has the cache.*

The cache is not in a tree.
Please don't put a NM on an assumption...
Maybe contact the CO with a picture of the assumed GZ for clarification next time...

This cache is supposed to be in a MINT TIN hidden in the structure.
Not a few pieces of paper in a baggie!
Perhaps cachers are finding a throwdown??
If the cache needs replacing please let me know, or replace it yourself.
Thanks

This one had us a bit stumped until the owner drove down the driveway and I asked. I replaced the poor old bag and signed one of the billion bits of paper. Tftc and highlighting this cool place
The weather is wet day but we managed to go out. Found your cache today. Hurtle, thank you so much for placing it.
Arrived Melbourne from Perth for St Arnauds mega. Excellent hide spot and need TLC, sorry i didn't bring spare with me. Signed the log with crank1 and thanks for the cache and hide
Nice easy find, had trouble retreavinglog from hide, no longer in a container, zip lock bag torn, sleep then tftc
I thought it would be much harder. I can end looked for a minute or two and BOOM there it was! I’d get the cache owner down here to fix the mint tin! But other than that TFTC!!!!
Could not find it anywhere. Searched all over but nothing was to be found. The gate is now a redish colour not green.
Was really stuck, and had a HUGE huntsman on the other side of cache. Saw a bloke stop and move a sign that's was blocking the cache. That you owner?
Felt like leaving after the cute dog began barking. Didn’t want to offend him/her
What can one say about a cache hidden by such a modest hider? I'll have to think about it. This might take some time.
Got you... what an amazing place, first time I have been this way heading to Romsey. Tftc
I'd headed to Melbourne on the 5th May for a weekend stay to see Priscilla: Queen of the Desert
Instead there was a mammoth change in my plans when the Corolla suddenly needed new brakes [xx(] which led to needing new tyres [^] which led to needing a new wheel bearing [xx(]
So a weekend turned into almost 3 full weeks and my HUGE thanks to the very patient and tolerant kmace who not only provided accommodation for myself but also for Rex [:X][:X]
Having your home invaded by a rabid geocacher who gets irritated when they have no car to go and find caches because it is in the workshop [xx(] and a pup who shreds his toys all over the house is not an easy ask for a day or two: let alone 20 odd days! [:X]
Rex also loved the beaches and the seagulls so there were many walks on the beach, some in pouring rain and gusting winds but that's what being a dog owner is about [^]
During this time some fantastic caches were found and some adventures occurred [^]
My thanks to all of the COs for the fun and the finds [^]
Days 12 and 13 of the trip and the cache run on the 16th continued up until 2am on the 17th [^][)] by which time 13 geocaches had been attempted and only 1 DNF occurred so that meant 12 finds were made.
What made day 11 really special for me was that I drove to Deer Park on the other side of Melbourne to see my sister [^]
She had unloaded and reloaded the semi she was driving from and back to Adelaide and so while she was waiting to be able to leave and start homewards, we grabbed KFC for lunch and then found No Swimming together [^] Hell of a great way to start a day's cache run! [:X][^]
Then in the afternoon of the 17th, 5 caches were found while Rex had a wonderful time doing the Langy Circuit as he got to play with a variety of lovely dogs as we wandered from cache to cache [^]
So while Rex kept an eye out for kangaroos, I searched and looked and looked and searched and just could not find the darned cache
Made a PAF and the lovely man made me earn every bit of this find [:X][^]
See that[?] Yeah. Well it's not that but you need to find something like this!
That wasn't so hard... but it was!
It's been a long day! [)]

TNLN. SL. TFTC Hurtle
Found by Mary & David at 1555. Went looking for this cache on our way back from "New Tower". Fount it after a short search, but had extreme difficulty retrieving it. Eventually succeeded with a tool fashioned from locally available material. Even then it was hard. The container lid has come off and is just resting in place. However, the biggest problem is that the container is now badly distorted from presumably many attempts to pry it loose. The effect is that the container is now a very tight fit in its hide. Suggest a new container is needed, with the addition of some sort of "handle" to aid in its retrieval without the need for force. Our thanks to Hurtle.
AHH so frustrating! We found it but could not grip it well enough for the magnet to let go. Having flown in for one night we didn't bring much in our TOTT kit. We have a new 'must add' item now as our previous cache in Sunbury had the same issue.
A cool stop though Hurtle. We will come back prepared one day.

Out caching with Darth Briji to add a few smilies to the map. Needed the use of a tool to retrieve this one.

Found it but wasn't able to access it as it was in a tight hiding place and wasn't able to grasp it. Thanks for the cache
I have worked around the airport for many years and knew well what the clues alluded to. Was great to stop and find this cache! Thanks Hurtle!
I found this cache at my front gate so didn't have to go far! Also was my first ever cache started signing and realised my sister put it there 3 years ago! Hahaha
Huh?
I placed this cache over 4 years ago, when visiting Melb to do the Woodlands series. No-one placed it for me.
I have had a finder previously say they lived nearby though.
Thanks for allowing me to keep it there.

Chickened out on this one after a few minutes, as there were muggles further up the driveway. Fun location though.
Waiting for some work colleagues to arrive at the airport and a couple of hours to kill. Smiley faces every where. TFTC
Found it. Container is missing its lid, But otherwise all is O.K. I replaced it how I found it. Sneaky hide. TFTC.
Over for the Surf Coast Mega with tmann421 enjoying the area and collecting caches along the way.
Thanks to all the CO's for adding to the enjoyment of this fun trip and TFTC

This was a very clever hide but found it with little blue wren.
Yes we have seen some of the caches in SA by BBB, not nice .
cache needs a bit of maintenance as the lid is broken off.
Signed and replaced log. TFTC.

Dropping off the inlaws to the airport and did the long detour in wind and light rain for this cache.
A car pulled up whilst searching - people who lived there - wanted to know what I was doing. As I couldn't find the cache I couldn't show him what it was. He saw the app and went on his way- surprised it has been there for so long!
Shortly after after a bit of a search found the clever hide. Tricky to get out but got it.
Cheers and thanks for the clever hide!
On a side note, saw a bird skeleton inside a gap in one of the Cactuses. Must have gotten trapped in there

So it must be funny to them to hear all the excuses as to why people are hanging around their front gate?

It was blowing a gale and freezing when we arrived at GZ. Thankfully we found the cache quickly but our numb fingers struggled to grab a hold of the log as it was jammed in tight. Quickly signed the log and ran back to the car and heater. Love mod cons!! TFTC.
Found it but had trouble extracting it. Fashioned a tool from items nearby and removed it. Signed the log and replaced. Thanks Hurtle.
On my drive into the city for a work conference I stopped to do some caching along the way.
