We're holidaying in Portland and decided to nip over the border to grab some caches to help qualify for a local challenge. I'd identified a few target caches.
On the way back, we stopped for a toilet break and checked for nearby caches. This one fit the bill as it was on the way out of town.
Unfortunately the container was full of water and the log saturated and mouldy. The family commented on the interesting aroma that accompanied me back to the car.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache jgc3.

It was raining on us for this one. The cache needs maintenance as it isn't waterproof. Couldn't log using the pad so added my own piece of paper but doubt it will stay dry. Great cache location. Thank you.
Last one on hevwalker and my caching catch-up day in Portland, hevwalker had done this one so I jumped out the car with torch in hand and started my search in the obvious place. With a muggle car coming down the road I turned off my torch and after they had gone as I turned it back on I caught a reflection that told me I'd found it. Signed log and returned to its hiding place. TFTC.
Found with Liz and Bruce on a good day for caching. I didn't think that it was that lonely!
We ventured to Nelson this morning with Alansee to do some of the caches which we knew we would enjoy in this scenic location and we were not disappointed. We encountered emus and kangaroos on the forest tracks but luckily not too close up We found a variety of hides and thanks to jgc3 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Day two of my travels, which will incorporate the Surf Coast Event in the middle. I travelled from Warrnambool to Mt Gambier, collecting a few caches along the way to break my journey, but with the main intent on collecting the confluence at S38° E 141°. Nice quick find.
My thanks to jgc3 for the cache.

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! We are currently on the first section of our journey, which started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island. We are currently on route to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater (where we are at present), the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. From Melbourne we head to Tasmania for a few days, then back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find at Ground Zero. Thanks so much for the cache.

Day 10 of our geoholiday in Victoria now we are slowly making our way back to Adelaide grabbing caches along the way, If there was a perfect hiding spot for a snake this would be it lol, cache soon located and no snakes spotted. TFTC
Our last day at Mount Gambier, before heading east, to catch up with muggle friends.
After lunch, we drove south to Nelson for some sightseeing and caching.
Lots of nice country to drive through, and we found a good variety of hides.
Cache was located after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, jgc3, for us and others to find.

Taking a friend for a scenic drive and pointing out a few points of interest, including previous geo-finds. Also carrying a swag of TBs that need a logged visit.
Lots of muggles driving past today but found this one easily. Quick easy find TFTC.
After having tea with fellow cachers, Geomum & Geodad decided the night before that we would head out & have a family caching day today. We had saved a fair few into our phones for the day. This was the 16th one on our list. We had just been at the BBQ's down near the river for lunch. We had cooked up burgers & now on our way for the last lot we had saved before heading home. We are enjoying all these caches. Its a shame we didn't know about this event. Would have been fun. TFTC
to find geocaches while driving through the States of South Australia and Victoria is just 'amazing'.
On our way from Millicent to Portland we found a lot of nicely bidden caches ... this is one of them. Thanks for bringing us here and greetings from Belgium.

A quick drive by. The poor old van bumped along on the grass and then Mr Beetle swerved at the last minute so that it was on 'my side'!!!! Thanks.

Caching is supposed to be exciting, but this one just represented a 'numbers game'. Drove right to the cache with the caravan in tow. No brownie points here I'm afraid. TN and left a weroamin token.
Found by Mary & David at 1040. Today Roy is definitely singing , and now the tune will stay with us for the rest of the day. Light rain has started again, and we've lost count of the number of log trucks that have barrelled past at speed. Our thanks to jgc3.
A short stop, at a lonely spot. On my way to Saunders Landing, for a bit of kayak fishing. Had to check the yak hadn't moved. Tftcsl, tnln.9/03/2014 1:27pm Find #615
Nice and quick find. Taking Freya to Canberra or somewhere frequented by is travelers.
I was heading for Port Fairy for work from home on the NSW south coast, but poor boating conditions had put our expedition back a couple of days and I decided to drop in on family in Mt Gambier, I was now heading back to Port Fairy and caching (and sightseeing) along the way. This one was quick and easy, thanks jgc3 for the cache

Such a lonely tree, it must be picked on by all of the bigger trees further along the road... A trip to Nelson seemed to be the order of the day, unfortunately we weren't planning on attending a BLE event but that didn't mean we couldn't find a couple (or a lot) of smileys while we were out this way! Found relatively quickly, TFTC (and the series) jgc3!
While riding on the Great Victorian Bike Ride, 610 km in 9 days from Mt Gambier to Geelong , I found 45 caches in my spare time. This was the 4th Found on 23 Nov. after having pitched my tent within 100m of the cache. The cache was not lonely that night with over 5000 cyclists camped near it.
Not today it wasn't. Surounded by 5000 people and cars n trucks on the Great Vic Bike Ride. The campsite was relocated to this site due to rain. Some geocachers camped within 20 meters of the gz I later found out. It was quite difficult to get to today due to massive muggle numbers everywhere...
This was my last find on Day 1 of this year's GVBR. A nice quick one at 13:10, which ended being only about 20-30 metres away from 'home' for the night.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks jgc3.
PS: There was no sign of the Pacific Jamboree 2007 Geocoin trackable in the cache. BTW, as the owner of the cache that the trackable is listed as being, you can mark it as missing simply by going to the trackable's page and completed that action. Maybe it's time to do so.

Cache found on the Joy of SECS tour with four-fun, Freddo, thewhitedoggang and Team Waldron. There were a stack of boxes to find so we pushed on. We even had a quick round of Mountopoly and a couple of Powertrails to add to the fun. The weather was cool and sometimes icy so wet boots were the order of the day.
Thanks to jgc3 and clear skies from TeamAstro.
A 3 day caching expedition with Freddo, Astro, WhiteDogGang an Four Fun.
Apologies for the generic log but we did a few trails and some of the Mountopoly series. We also did most of the BLE series.
The mozzies were full on at times and it rained most of the first day.
