Scrambled around in the dark and rain for a couple of minutes before finding it. Thanks for the easy grab on the way to Nelson
Found with scramping on our way back after a day caching in Portland...
It was dark now so needed a torch...
It was quite difficult to get down the embankment & with the grass taller than my knees it made the find a little more difficult than it should have been...

It was dark but at least the rain had stopped for the moment as we made our way down the embankment to search the long grass with our torches. Hevwalker and I were on our way back home after a great caching day in Portland, signed the log and replaced back in its hiding place. TFTC
We ventured to Nelson this morning with Alansee to do some of the caches which we knew we would enjoy in this scenic location and we were not disappointed. We encountered emus and kangaroos on the forest tracks but luckily not too close up We found a variety of hides and thanks to jgc3 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Just the one cache that I was able to as I drove from Portalnd to Mt Gambier today.
A nice park and grab to break up the journey.
Thanks for the cache jgc3. Found on 12 Mar 2017 at 11:59 am. Find #4048.

We parked where it was safe and walked back to GZ. Fortunately the first place I looked revealed a possible location and we soon had the cache in hand. Initially we thought this might be a longer search with a number of possible places to look. SL and replaced. TFTC
found after The Surf Coast Event 2016 mega event. Slowly caching back to SA. if I didn't stop for every cache I might be " nearly there " myself
Found a few from the series as we drove towards Mt Gambier. After a scramble in the long grass we found the treasure and added our name to the log. Thanks jgc3 for the placement.
Day two of my travels, which will incorporate the Surf Coast Event in the middle. I travelled from Warrnambool to Mt Gambier, collecting a few caches along the way to break my journey, but with the main intent on collecting the confluence at S38° E 141°. Found with the aid of the hint.
My thanks to jgc3 for the cache.

Found 4/11/16 @ 3:09 PM.
Please be careful where you park for this cache, busy highway with lots of trucks.
We drove around the front of the plantation and to within 10m of GZ. Walking gingerly through the long grass (snakes and shorts/thongs don't mix well) I found the likely spot.
No chance I'm sticking my hand in there without having a good poke around with a stick first. Luckily Joe Blake wasn't visiting today and we made the find.

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! We are currently on the first section of our journey, which started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island. We are currently on route to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater (where we are at present), the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. From Melbourne we head to Tasmania for a few days, then back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find on the way to Richmond. Thanks so much for the cache.

Day 10 of our geoholiday in Victoria now we are slowly making our way back to Adelaide grabbing caches along the way, Quick find for us today. TFTC
Our last day at Mount Gambier, before heading east, to catch up with muggle friends.
After lunch, we drove south to Nelson for some sightseeing and caching.
Lots of nice country to drive through, and we found a good variety of hides.
Cache was located after a short search, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, jgc3, for us and others to find.

Another fun little stop on our way to Portland, I believe we are at cache no.7 on our lap of Aus. Going slow with the caching as we have plenty of stuff to do. You can view our adventures at SelkeAdventures.com if you like.
Thanks for the cache.

We had an overnight stop at Nelson so headed out to find as many of the BLE as possible. This gave us a small tiki our of the town.
We were surprised that we were able to find this container as a lot of slashing had been done around GZ, luckily it was close to the trunk of the tree so it was stll there.

After having tea with fellow cachers, Geomum & Geodad decided the night before that we would head out & have a family caching day today. We had saved a fair few into our phones for the day. This was the 16th one on our list. We had just been at the BBQ's down near the river for lunch. We had cooked up burgers & now on our way for the last lot we had saved before heading home. We are enjoying all these caches. Its a shame we didn't know about this event. Would have been fun. We stopped at this one for a little while as we looked at more caches around the area that leads us back home going a different way home so off we went. TFTC
TFTC.12.10. From Perth to Melbourne is our last vacation journey in Australia, along this route, we look for caches. Greetings from the Netherlands
Found at 2.50pm, yes, nearly at our campsite, so much pine forest around here.

Found on our leisurely drive as we make our way towards Murray Bridge for the Mega. Today we head to Mount Gambier and beyond.... TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1020. We're often nearly there. Have been looking forward to this trip for ages. Hope the weather continues to improve so that we'll have two lovely days in the Mount. A chance, too, for Mary to revisit her childhood memories. Our thanks to jgc3.
Nice to stop and stretch the legs again after leaving the 4WD track in the pine forest! A trip to Nelson seemed to be the order of the day, unfortunately we weren't planning on attending a BLE event but that didn't mean we couldn't find a couple (or a lot) of smileys while we were out this way! Found relatively quickly, TFTC (and the series) jgc3!
Second one while on the way over to Portland on Day 2 of the GVBR today. Down the slippery slope in bike shoes wasn't too much fun but I soon had the stash in hand at 08:15.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks jgc3.

Nipped off into the bushes for this one. The 5000 riders going passed probably suspected a quite different motive
Found on The Joy of SECS weekend along with Astro, Freddo, four-fun & Team Waldron.

Cache found on the Joy of SECS tour with four-fun, Freddo, thewhitedoggang and Team Waldron. There were a stack of boxes to find so we pushed on. We even had a quick round of Mountopoly and a couple of Powertrails to add to the fun. The weather was cool and sometimes icy so wet boots were the order of the day.
Thanks to jgc3 and clear skies from TeamAstro.
A 3 day caching expedition with Freddo, Astro, WhiteDogGang an Four Fun.
Apologies for the generic log but we did a few trails and some of the Mountopoly series. We also did most of the BLE series.
The mozzies were full on at times and it rained most of the first day.

After not having any internet for nearly two years I am finally getting around to logging some caches that I did with Team Crackers a long time back.
We completed quite a few BLE caches back in 11-8-13 and I cannot remember them all now so apologies to the cache owner for the cut and paste log.
I am working off Team Crackers list for that day.
Many thanks for the fun Day

We were out with Super Pop collecting some of the BLE caches and this was the first for the day. It was to be the second but we missed the first one and as we were doing a U turn to go back Diane spotted this one on the screen and we soon had it in hand.
We added our names to the log and hoped they were all going to be like this.
Thanks jgc3 for our first of many BLE caches today.

Nearly where home? no it's miles away yet!
I drove straight passed this one and went some way before I find somewhere to turn around and then parked on the side of the road before dashing over to grab the cache in the rain. Boy those trucks certainly kick up some water when they go flying past!

Missed the BLE event but picking up a few of the caches this afternoon. Generic logs but thanks to jgc3 for the series. Hope I can finish them next time I am in this neck of the woods.

Sunday at BLE and Huurtle, Dennisc52 and I set off to replace a cache which had been lost in the recent bushfires
There were a few caches on the way and, luckily for me, the boys were happy to head for Dartmoor where a couple of months ago in 40 odd degree heat while riding my motorbike back from Halls Gap I had stopped briefly, seen the nearby caches and just been too darn hot and tired to get any...... so today was the day [^]
Later on, we met up with Honeysucker and firesafe and continued caching until well after dark: 4WDing on dirt roads, beaches and through the forests [^]
A HUGE day of attempting 47 caches: 45 successful locus cache events [^] and only 2 DNFs
A quick find, especially when in the company of previous finders
