Many years ago I took two Cantonese courses in the next building. Unfortunately, I wasn’t very good. Today, it was nice to come back. Finding the cache took a while and when I finally spotted it, it was very high! Luckily I had an umbrella with which to retrieve it!

The location on map is not very precise but close enough. (Led me to find at a wrong place at the beginning tho.)
Easy find with the hint.

This is one of the Caches I could find during a 6 months travel around Asia.
I am too lazy to write something about each Cache. Thats the reason for this common log. If you have any questions about a Cache I found feel free to contact me.

The travel starts on October 3 in Malaysia.
2nd country was Brunei (October 15)
Singapore (October 22)
Indonesia (October 27)
Philippines (November 26)
Taiwan (December 11)
Japan (December 26)
South Korea (January 5)
China (Shanghai)(January 12)
Hong Kong (January 16)
Macao (January 23)

My personal Best of:
Here is a small list from Caches I could find during the trip which are very nice, have a nice hide, are placed on a beautiful place or just have a nice landscape. But.... not all beautiful places have a Cache Smile

We are on our family holiday to Hong Kong from England and are having an amazing time in this fabulous place. This morning we have visited Kowloon Park and the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, we are now wandering through the shopping area before heading to Mong Kok Ladies Market. As we are so near to this cache I have now got my first chance to get a cache in Hong Kong, I was beginning to think we might not find this one as the GPS was all over and I am struggling with off line lists on my phone but with the aid of hint we struck lucky. Getting in the cache proved a challenge but we were not going to fail at this stage and Tiger paws and I added our name to the log. Cache returned as found. Thank you for this cache.

The Hong Kong Souvenir Challenge:
It’s become quite a bit of annual challenge for me at this point to try to play the Groundspeak points for souvenir game on “Insane” mode... well, at least, “insane” by my own definition. For the Cache Carnival, the conditions are as follows:

1) Gain at least 500 points through only cache finds with high FPs.
2) Complete the challenge in as short a time span as possible.

Well, the results are in... the first cache was found at about 7:30 am, and the last find was around 7:00 pm, meaning that the caches so far were found in just under 12 hours. Total points scored: 535 (if I did my accounting correctly). Yay! Mission accomplished!

————————————-
What a nice old building, thanks for bringing me down this road. The cache is nothing to shout about, but I guess the intent was to show cachers this interesting corner of Kowloon. All good here, TFTC!

With the Aida we went on a big trip and on our shore leave we also visited your cache.
We started in Bangkok and our journey took us through Saigon, Hue An, Da Nang, Hong Kong, Keelung and Ishigaki, until we finally reached the last port of our journey in Shanghai.
Already in the run-up we had picked out possible caches and informed ourselves about the respective requirements. So we were able to find the right spot without any problems and conjure up a few smileys on our map.
So there was something for everyone from Tradis, Earth Caches and Virtual.
All I have to say is a big thank you to all owners for laying and maintaining the cans, as well as creating the listings and the lot of work behind each cache.
Thanks to Vistalia for the opportunity to find in a Cache in HongKong during our interesting and wonderful vacation.

Vielen Dank an alle Owner fürs Legen & Pflegen.
Wir durften so tolle und beindruckende Orte sehen, die dann durch die Caches nochmal "gekrönt" wurden. Diese Reise werden wir auf jeden Fall nie mehr vergessen Big Grin

Between two business trips I could arrange a spare time weekend in Hong Kong. Unfortunately the weather condition wasn't perfect but I didn't care too much. My focus was on sightseeing guided by various caches.

While I was walking back I passed by this location. The muggles around didn't noticed me and therefore I could smoothly remove the container.

Last find of the day! Easy and fast.

Thank you Vistalia for the cache!

---

Holiday in Asia, Thailand, Hong Kong and China!

First stop for me, Thailand and a few days in Bangkok Smile. Third time here, second for geocaching and first for Space Invaders hunting! I stayed in the same area as last year and went back in town to visit some caches that I either did not find last year or did not take the time to visit.
I must admit that I was sad to see that many caches were either missing, damaged, or with logbooks super full. It also looks like most of the CO are not active here anymore so I think that those caches will only survive with the help and support of the community.
So I replaced a few caches that were missing and hopefully they will survive a little!

Second stop was Hong Kong. So good to be back is this amazing place! HK island, Kowloon, I had an amazing time walking from cache to cache, and from Space Invader to Space Invader! It was also very special to get to see my friends again and spend some time with them.

Final stop was China! My very first time in this fascinating country and my first experience was Shenzhen! What an amazing time and I was lucky to be with my friends from HK and their friends from SZ! I loved it!

Day 1 : one cache in the hotel area!
Day 2 : I walked a bit more than 20 km but also used the metro and boat, it ws too hot to walk all te time Smile.
Day 3 : last space invader found, my quest is completed! And I aslo found one mystery Smile
Day 4 : I couldn't do this trip without hosting an event in Bangkok So I decided to have it exactly at the same place as last year, which I think is a pretty good location. Funny thing, only French cachers attended Big Grin. Then I went for a nice geotour accross the city and visited some new fascinating places! Another nice sunny warm day!
Day 5 from BKK to HKG!
Day 6 : an amazing day in Hong Kong island for some Space Invaders and nice caches too. Great weather, I had an excellent time finding some caches!
Day 7 : change of zone with geocaching on the Kowloon side! Nice walk, managed to find a few caches on the way.
Day 8 : back to Hong Kong island side, first in the Stanley area, then around Victoria Peak. It was raining a little but altogether I had a very nice time!
Day 9 : trip to China! My first time there and a new geocaching country! It was nice to be able to host an event and find a few caches!
Day 10 : in two parts ! Morning dedicated to some caches in SZ, in a great park first, and then around the university. Then I went back to HK to find some last caches. Especially one that I could not leave unfound!

Thanks to all cache owners!

Aquilus1 and myself decided on a bit of a whim to come to Hong Kong and surrounds when we saw a crazy special for super cheap flights.... and who doesnt like to add a few countries and five states to the stats?

We of course targetted FTF, oldies, virtuals, D/T, countries and states.... as well as one of my two missing dates. Some of the caches we found were well out of the way, the worst required a ferry, a train, two buses, a taxi then a 3km walk that culminated with a descent using ropes followed by extreme rock hopping.... I can see how we picked up 10 years of unlove on the trip.

The other highlight was picking up another FTF in mainland China.... we had to race for it! ALmost 2 months after publishing we ound it without any issues. We left several pathtags and a TB.

We had an event during the trip which resulted in us doing some impromptu late night caching when I really should have been asleep and a strange desert. Oh, and I was handed about 10 TB's to take back to Australia as well.... the locals will love that!

We experienced the full gamut of different Customs practices as we seemed to cross a border every day of the trip.... mainland China and then Macau being the other
countries' that we visited in the 4 day trip. Soooo different to HK, in very different ways from each other, its funny that they are so close together.

Came to Kowloon Park directly off the ferry (once we figured out how to get out of the mall) to make a few finds. This was first and a quick find with the hint, I was a very effective TOTT for Aquilus1

GreyHams and myself took advantage of some ridiculously cheap flights and booked a trip across to Hong Kong for the weekend, well... a long weekend!

With a list of some targeted caches, including a FTF, virtuals, oldies, DT, dates and challenge fillers, mixed in with some sight seeing along the way lead to a very interesting and enjoyable trip. We visited three counties in as many days, added 5 states, walked to we ached and then walked some more! Some standout locations visited, some for a cache or two others because they were too cool not to visit.

We held an event that saw us out with some local cachers finding a few caches very late at night after a very long day and then joined them for what I thought was soup but ended up being a desert at the end of the evening. Was good to talk caching with some local people, and was an experience to remember.

Based in Hong Kong but gave the passport a good work out with visits to Mainland China and Macau as well, have that passport number memorised well and truly now. All three countries so close together but very different from each other in their customs and identities and provided some memorable moments.

Many standout moments, including a china FTF. A #5000 milestone involved taking a ferry, two trains, a bus, a taxi and then a 3km hike, a rope climb down to the shore and then rock hopping for an endless long time alone the shore line and then did it all again on the way back!!! Many thanks to the CO's for their caches that help guide us around to many different locations and added to the experience.

Came direct from a morning trip in Macau on the ferry to Kowloon, after some caches in Kowloon park we then went for a few more of the closer ones including this one. Once spotted I stepped back, this was a job for my reliable TOTT who had this nice and easily!

Day 2 of our great tour to Asia: Arrival at Hong Kong and getting in touch with the city incl. an event with some locals who showed us their city the next day.

What can a cacher do in a typical German winter? Why not travel, to Asia for two weeks in order to visit the six countries Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China together with 34 other crazy cachers? During this trip we have received many interesting and beautiful impressions, had a lot of fun, tasted all kinds of beer and searched and found many caches, of course. In order to spare the logbooks as well as the owners' nerves, we logged with the collective name GigA19 (Germany is going Asia 2019) or sent the answers to earth caches and virtuals under this name. Since we found an enourmous amount of caches and since I cannot recall every detail, please excuse this uniform log. It is not my habit to log like this!

Thanks a lot to all the cache owners for their motivation to provide the caching world with caches and to also maintain them - you are the ones that make our hobby possible!

Once again a crazy group has set off to visit distant countries.
Already at the beginning of the year we travelled with 35 participants from Germany and Switzerland this time Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China.
Besides the sightseeing we also visited some caches. We also tried some culinary specialties. Some of them took a lot of getting used to.
I thank all fellow travellers for the nice company, the nice time spent together.
Please excuse the standard log, but with the number of caches, the abundance of impressions it is difficult to write something for each individual. The answers to Earthcache questions were sent to the owners for the group / GIGA2019.
Thank you to all owners for developing, setting up and maintaining the caches.
The logbooks were signed by us with GIGA2019 / Germany is going Asia 2019 to save space.
