After finding the other cache in the Dunes East of here I wandered down for a quick find once at GZ. TFTC
I decided to mix my running with a few trails around here. Lovely day and great view. Can’t believe this cache hasn’t been muggled yet. Left my mark and onto the next.
Quite a long walk down the beach up the dune. Nice easy find on a nice sunny day.
My legs were a bit achy after the walk to and back, but it was really easy to find.
Cache is being protected by a mummy long legs and 1000 babies! Left some treasure for the kids. TFTC
Found this on a morning beach jog easy find all is healthy with the cache. good hiding place.
We had some appointments to take care of today in midland and then further north of the river so decided to make a little bit of a run north of the river as we were late to midland and couldn't grab a sneaky cache around there, started Sorrento area and then continued up and around.
Managed to DNF quite a few which was disappointing but came back with a few good finds around the traps which will make a tiny dent in the number of unfound caches around the northern suburbs for us.
I've often theorised that I need to spend six months of the year living north and six months of the year living south to help cleanup all caches in the burbs.
Enjoyed a couple of hours out in he sunshine which helped ease the cold I've been carrying for a while too.

What a great hike down the beach to find this one. Biggest collection of TB's I've ever found in one cache. Got my work cut out for me now.... worth the hike down the beach & up the dune for this one. TFTC
Nice walk along the beach to this cache to leave some TB's. Over in Perth from Dunedin NZ for a few days. Found with Conbat. TFTC
That was a mission with 2 small kids in tow. Thanks for the find we took TB (RYOKO) and left a good luck coin.
Oh my! Am I unfit great family stroll lol the kids almost cried and tefused to walk any further lol

After a lovely walk along this beautiful beach we headed up the sand dune and soon found this lovely large cache. The children enjoyed playing in the rock pools on the way and I enjoyed walking by the sea. Really pleased to find such a big container so favourite point for cache and location. Took 1 TB and left 1 TB
Fantastic cache. I had fun doing this one.
I was on my normal morning run along the coast, but was particularly distracted by the potential thunderstorms. The weather appeared to have beautifully reduced the number of people on the beach, so I decided today was the day to do this cache.
The walk along the beach was just stunning. Only one other person on the beach on the was to the cache- she had taken the opportunity to do some yoga on the beach.
Happily found the cache with no problems and really enjoyed finding something of a decent size. TNLNSL. TFTC

So Minergal has been pestering me to come out to this for a while now, pleased too make the find after dealing with a slithering local
This was the first of the dune caches in the area that the Fabulous Panda and I decided to do. Found fairly quickly but took a while to retrieve as we seen a snake slither into the bush and ummed and ahhed as to whether or not to log. After rolling down the sleeves and putting on the gloves it was decided to chance it. I kept an eyes out for the snake and the container was retrieved. There was no log, but we left a couple of sheets of notepaper. TFTC
Thank you. Enjoyed the walk to this one. Didn't see a log (perhaps I couldn't find it in the very large container?) but I have photos if the CO requires.
Well now that was a journey and half that was! We walked 1.2kms up the beach for this treasure! Kids loved it! Thanks for the cache! Now for our journey back!!
Great cache! Really enjoyed the walk along the beach and up the dunes to GZ this afternoon. Thank you for the hide The Fighting Mongooses.
Lovely walk along the beach & climb thru the dunes. Took only a minute or 2 to find once up here, and wow it sure is big!
Bit wet in there from recent rain, maybe drill a few holes in bottom to allow release?? Thanx.

Nice walk along the beach with my daughter to find this. One small problem with the cache though, there were 4 lizards stuck in the cache that needed rescuing, might need to put something permanent inside to allow a means of escape for any other lizards who fall in.
Found this one with Leega after a nice long hike through the dunes. I shouldnt have worn black lol. Great view. TFTC Teh Goast Ryder
Oh so glad we found this one! Started getting a tad warm for myself and axell33 but we made it! This was a cool cache. A shame about the encroaching 'burbs'. I think we were even more glad to make it back to the car. It was quite a workout/walk for us. Thanks for the cache.
After a short walk along Burns Beach with my youngest daughter a couple nights ago, I decided to go for a longer walk along the same beach with my other two children tonight - in search of this cache. We really enjoyed the walk and talk and finding the large cache upon arrival. Left a Mambo bouncing ball and a fun helicopter thing. Loved this cache - very original. Thanks for the effort you have put into this hide.
Awesome find on such a beautiful day seems to be a resident small lizard living in this cache, TFTC
Great spot - been meaning to look for this one for a while now. Just love the remoteness for now at least Thanks for the spot TFTC

Phew - not sure my knees will thank me for this in the morning but great spot! TFTC
Nice scenic walk across the beach/dunes with the geokids for a quick find. We really liked this one.
Unfortunately appears to have been disturbed since last visit logged, the lid was off the cache and it was full of debris. No swag with the exception of a couple of golf balls and two small lizards, one of which was a very desiccated ex lizard. The other was freed and cache tidied up with everything that was left fitting easily into the systema box inside. Thankfully log book still intact. Geokids left some bits and pieces of 'treasure' to start reseeding the cache.

Awsome cache for the geokids and well worth the fantastic walk to GZ. Thanks The Goast Ryder.

Went for a walk along Burns and decided I would try for this one. Took a few minutes to locate the Cache, biggest one I have found so far.

After completing work items today we headed out to get another large cache. We parked near the beach with the rain having paused and headed up watching the wild seas with all the howling westerly. Once near GZ it was a sandy climb the dunes to GZ. We soon spot the lid of this large cache hid in the original way and opened it up to find it dry. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Tftc!!! Its HUGE!!!! By far the biggest container i ever found! A bit of a windy and cold day but loved the walk!
I was tossing up whether to go for this one or not, a 700m walk along the sand was quite an effort for me today, but seeing the level of progress in this area I thought I had better find this one before it gets swallowed up by houses.
On the way there I walked along the old 4wd tracks for a while, and eventually made my way down to the beach, which was a much more direct route, so I took this all the way back to the car after finding the cache.
Thanks for the hunt Teh Goast Ryder!

Waded along beach to GZ, made the climb found cache and then thankfully jumped in the ocean for a refreshing swim.....thanks again Teh Goast Ryder
Long stroll along the coast. Nicely hidden treasure; and such a large cache too. Had a swim to cool off before walking back to the car. Thanks Teh Goast Ryder.
Took Ouma and the kids along for a leisurely stroll along the beach and a bit of a scramble up the dune ... what a magnificent view! With polarized lenses, one can look deep into the water to see the coral reefs. Thanks for bringing us here. This is our last day in Oz, tonight back on the plane to Jo'Burg, South Africa. Took 2 trinkets, left 2 of equal size. TFTC!!
So Mr Felix was dropped off on Marmion Avenue to tackle 2 other nearby caches and Mrs Felix moved the car to Burns Beach to walk up the coastline to this cache.
Using the responsible boardwalk access its a 950mt walk which was enjoyed whilst watching families walk, swim and picnic at the beach. Also got to see a Kite Surfer doing some training in the dunes.
It was very warm though and by the time I hiked up the dune I was wondering what on earth we were thinking. All was worth it though as the cache was in hand after a short search.
Left a Pathtag here and phoned Mr Felix who was at a nearby puzzle cache, just beginning his search. I described the cache to him and guess what [8)] he decided to head back to the car via this cache too!
So we are both a little weary and sunburnt but happy to have another smilie.

Eleventh cache for today. Was a long walk along the beach to get to GZ and it took quite a lot out of me with all that soft sand. I was quite jealous of the young female and the old male running along the beach. The old male was not quite as fit, or perhaps his dog wasn't, as he turned around near GZ but the young female continued until she was out of sight to the north.
Found the cache withoug problems.
Thanks Teh Goast Ryder for the cache.

Found after a short search
I parked at Burns and walked along the beach but I could not help but notice signs "Keep out of Dunes , Fines apply" but obviously not to geocachers, but I like others ignored them

Needed a find for the Geo Calendar today and also had a bit of maintenance to
do on a few of of my own Caches, so left the house early and headed to the Coast.
I was undecided on the best approach to this cache, in the end I parked up on
Beachside Drive and entered the dune from the South, which gave me about an 800m amble
through the sand dunes.
It felt an awful lot further with all the undulations but finally made it to GZ.
Great hiding place for such a large container.
Great Cache, in a great GZ, with fab views over the coastline.
A FAV point for sure.
On the way back I simply walked along the beach, wading in the water.
A much easier route to take than through the dunes !!!

*FTF* @12:30pm - this was like a geocaching triathlon, without the swim. We had earlier fallen exhausted through the front door after a long bike ride, saw this had been published and headed straight back out for a punishing trek along the beach. Sand and sweat mingled to form an abrasive paste as we bashed up and over the dunes to the GZ...Mr. O. graciously allowed Mrs. O. first go at the best looking hiding spots and soon enough she had the buried treasure in her sights, arrrr Jim Lad. It's the biggest cache we have ever seen, so kudos to whoever lugged it out there. Took the fishy TB to send it on its way. TFTC Teh Goast Ryder / The Fighting Mongooses!
