Knowing this was a clever hide, we searched for ages. Ended up reading the clue, and ALL of the comments, and still came up short
If it's still here then it's extremely well hidden, no logs for a long time can i suggest the owner checks the location. Thanks
Another unsuccessful search. Some fast growing wild cherry weed trees might have confused me looking to use the hint.
Plus a long time since last find so.it may be still hiding in the regrowth?

ANZAC weekend in Taranaki/Whanganui . Focused on Adventure Labs and also whatever will be handy. This hide was one of them.
Found it without a problem.
Thanks only I've seen two of them before near Auckland and Huntly yo!

We spent a considerable time looking for this cleverly designed cache until eventually we looked from the right angle and spotted it. A favourite from us. We now see that in 2014 we failed to find the cache in its previous form. TFTC
#12,106. Good to have a break in Whanganui. Took a bit more than a park and grab. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after some searching. Good hide. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Once again I am spending the weekend in Wanganui (from Wellington) and collecting caches in my spare time. Today's plan was a ramble down the river. GPS kept changing its mind here which made this harder than it should have been. Once it finally settled down I got lucky and spotted the clever hide. All safe and dry, TFTC
Just spotted this log hadn't been submitted at time of finding 3months ago ...
Thanks RachelsRiffRaff for placing this cool cache
It was another sneaky one and like many of your caches worthy of a FP

After messaging the CO we found out we had inadvertently found the old cache in this spot that they had thought had gone missing.
The CO was kind enough to accept our log for the older cache however once we were aware of a more recent one we needed to go out and have another look.
After reading the hint again and hunting around a few places my wife found the cache in no time. Not bad getting two for one at this location.
Thanks again for the cache(s) RRR!

We struck it pretty lucky on this one. We are fairly familiar with the COs hides now so knew to think outside of the box!
Unfortunately it appeared as though the cache was not complete. After hunting around we found a damaged log. Replaced with a new log and assembled back together. Will message the CO photos to make sure we are on the right track.
TFTC RRR!

Really great hide! We weren't sure how to decipher the hint, and spent a lot of time looking in a lot of places before we found the obvious right one. Great spot for a morning water break on our TA thru-hike!
Quiet at work so out for more caching. Lovely sunny day and enjoyed watching the paddler steamer go by. Second visit here, this time with Mrs Rubbishparty and it didn’t take her too long to have the cache in hand. I was already sitting on the bench because of my previous failure to find it. I’m sure there’s a lesson there but I will ignore for the moment! Thanks RRR
Find number 6367. In Wanganui with a German friend who is doing part of the Te Araroa trail. After dropping her off at where she had previously go to I spent the day caching. I had my bicycle so spent the day on the cycle trails each side of the river.
This one took me some time to find. I must have never been at the right angle. Finally I spotted it. Thank you for the placement.

I managed to track down the whereabouts of this cache just as was about to enter the head scratching phase of the operation.
I came expecting to sit on a green seat and pick up a container that looked like part of the furniture. Once we sorted out that those could not happen concurrently we were a bit more careful and soon had our big break .
I'm from Switzerland and spend 4 months in New Zealand on vacation. Found this cache the second time quickly, thanks.
Text later..yes Nöggi2 and I came twice as I expected my favorit chocholat I used to eat in England....yea we finally found the cache !!!Thanks from Swiss guy!!!
Easy parking here I was in Whanganui for PD and i try to go early so i have a little time to locate a few caches while up in Whanganui so today it was the riverside ramble and locating a few more of these.
thank you for this series of caches along the W. river. which has a habit of always looking brownish!.

Second time I was coming to this location and this time I looked in the right area. Saw where it was hidden and was like "That looks suspicious" and of course it was, it was a geocache!
Another morning in Wanganui to get a few caches. Third time here, no trouble to find today. Thanks RachelsRiffRaff for the cache.
Decided that I needed to go on a road trip to get some caches and to try and get enough points to complete the Planetary Pursuit, wasnt quite sure that I was going to get there or not so hatch a plan with Mr-McGoo to team up go to Wanganui / Whanganui and pick up a few caches.
This was my next cache for this trip as we made our way around Wanganui, saw this cache on my list and as my trusty chauffeur made our way towards GZ. We continued on Somme Parade heading back towards town, Mr-McGoo had already found this cache so he decided to send me in first to see if I could find this cache.
As we arrived near GZ we managed to find a safe parking spot on the side of the road from GZ not far from the start of the track that headed down to the river. From there it was a easy walk to the start of the track to GZ, once there it was a matter of making my way down to GZ. Arriving near GZ, I soon noticed that the area has being under some major earth works and my trusty chauffeur, said that he thinks that the cache might have gone walkabout's.
Decided to have a quick search but nothing was spotted so we decided that we will would move on and continue on our way, but it was fun, we will be back but we enjoyed the search. Maybe it is time to go and have a break [:o)].

This nearly had me beat and I was about to retreat from the stinging flying things one I spotted a clue in a previous log. Why do the logs in these take longer to re-roll then retrieving the actual cache? Another fav point awarded
I saw the hide early on but did not reconise it for what it was. Came back to hit and yay, made the find. A well crafted hide. Cheers.
Just enough daylight left in the day for an after dinner bike ride along the Whanganu River. Nice.
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

A great cache but I must remember to think, ‘what you see isn't necessarily what it is’ from now on. Favourite given for making us think. Signed Team IE. TFTC
We walked into town and back today from the Whanganui River Top 10 Holiday Park, following the riverside and caching as we went. An enjoyable stroll with plenty to keep us amused.
We had a good look, but weren’t very hopeful as it’s so long since it was last found. No luck

Mrs RRR checked the cache on her way home the other day. Its still snug in its hidey place, think we may have to up the difficulty.
Not my best day today. We both spent about 10 minutes searching, and I was about to log a dnf, when I decided to check something else, and claimed the smiley at 10:45. The triumph was short lived though, as I dropped the top of cache container in the long grass and had to spend another few minutes relocating it! TFTC, don't panic, all is back exactly as it should be.....
Took us a little while as it was our first geocache. The paper has gotten wet from all the rain.
On our bicycle tour along the river we found this one. Tftc Sprunghörnchen
Nice camouflage, we put a blue ribbon around it

Like this cache but kids have found it and broken your cunning hide. Needs maintenance and possibly relocating? Nice spot though.
Wanganui Day 2
This morning we concentrated on caches by the river side.
We found a variety of caches in many different hides. awe enjoyed our walk & drive.

Food this one before the flood of 2015. Out today with DDT and KButterfly who had not found this one. Good opportunity to locate and sign the replacement cache.
Found by Master 6 after a short search. Paper wet, I put it back in small plastic bag that was inside cache. Tftc
spotted what I was looking for before looking at the flax, not sure if its meant to be as exposed as it is, but cache all in good order, not muggles around so didnt have to rush, thanks for taking the time to put this one together
So much creativity on this series. Love it! Almost missed it even when we had it in hand.
Nicely camouflaged, my sister found this cache without giving me the chance to look for it . Never saw micro -swag before, love it!
Unfortunately a lot of people seem to use this nice spot to throw rubbish away. Such a shame!
I love Kit-Kat too, all chocolate to be honest. Yes, I'm a chocoholic
Thanks!

Gosh that was a hard one,and then you find it and it's not that hard at all hahaha
Finally caved in and stopped off here.
Since Hyjynx and myself knew what and approx where it was.....
We let Mr-10 lead us on the hunt.
With GPSr in hand he...... walked right past the target.....twice
Took a hint from us and soon had the log extracted and signed on in.
Cheers for the cache RRR

Out for a southbound mission with fellow cachers, Thatsneat and TMNT, trying for a 50 caches in one day down in Whanganui. This one is our number three on the Riverside Ramble Walkway, cache all good and very nicely hidden. Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap.TFTC! Blenheim Bear

Had to grab quietly as muggle nearby so boys were whispering away - located very quickly - tftc
Fantastically made camo. Think a family of cachers turned up just as I was leaving.
On tour in NZ! To safe time and space we signed with CG3 ( caching girls 3)!

This cache was one of the many caches we found on our 6 day campervan journey from Tauranga to Lower Hutt via Waihi, Cambridge, New Plymouth and along the west coast to Wanganui and back to the Hutt. A mighty and enjoyable journey which took us to many great and iconic parts of the north island and of course some great geocaches. Many thanks to the many CO's for the great cache placements and for bringing us to so many new places. Sorry about the generic log but 200 plus to log. TFTC
Quick find love the creative camo..also lovely to chill next to the away for a bit...tftc
In town for the Vintage Weekend event, which was great, and managed a bit of time to find some caches as well. Really enjoyed doing this series alongside the river, quite a variety of interesting hides. DNF'd here on a previous visit.

Visited with bossguy88 but dnf at the end of a long hot day . Didn't read comments until we got home so will keep an eye out and may revisit.
Finally managed to get to check on some caches today - if any caches were going to be missing this one would be the most likely - after seeing the damage, it came up even higher than WE anticipated. Looked around to see if maybe it had washed up somewhere but no. Either that or its under 3 feet of silt. We will have to wait a bit for things to settle and decide if to replace with a similar container or go for a different type of hide.
Love the chance to get close to our beautiful river but sometimes have to wonder what the hell am I doing mucking about like this at my age when I could just take a much easier walk. Great views from the seat by the way! Nice hide. TFTC
Nice quick find on the way to find the several out Papaiti way. Bit of dog poop on track but easy find. TFTC
Thanks Rachel! This is the first time geocaching ... (nothing swapped as I forgot about that aspect) am very excited for us to continue
TGTC... Kids are so excited. They just about have up, but got there in the end.
We are in town for a few days to have a look around as we have always by-passes the city on the way to Taranaki to see relatives and we thought it was time we checked the place out. We found this one after dinner on a walk from nearby camping ground. A quick find tucked away from all but the bovine eyes across the river. TFTC
A weekend road trip of epic proportions. Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I plan to carve our way through the Waikato, Manawatu-Wanganui and Taranaki Regions while collecting an assortment of caches for various challenges we are working on. Should be a fun excursion...
There were a few people enjoying the water this afternoon... Would be quite refreshing on a hot day like today. A quick find here. TFTC.

Another weekend caching with Squirrel Nutcase, due to the kilometres we are travelling this time a over night stop in Stratford was needed. Number off D/T Ratings and old caches was our mission.
6.15pm - Soon got directions right, thought at first it might be some ones back yard. How wrong was I. SLTFTC
