Awesome cache! Well worth a fav point from me.Wasn't sure which one was the right one first, but spotted the container and made my way there. Made me smile.Once I was there, unfortunately no log nor lid. Took a photo with my GC name, sent to owner and got a quick response ok to log (thank you).Great Geocache and still makes me smile that I made it.
I was going through my caches and realized I hadn't log this cache back in 2021 .I was with Sir Belac and he signed for himself and me thanks for this awesome cache and it deserves a favorite. Thanks Kehu
Cycled out here, and quickly realised what was needed. Soon at the right level to retrieve the cache, all good here, TFTC
Wow These guys really love their tea.I got to the gz and saw catch, in 4 minutes the log was signed and returneddeserves a favTFTC#988
Summer Holiday 2024Day #4Spending a couple of days in Stephens Bay and today AlpiSteve and I ventured into Motueka. This was on our list to do and I came prepared with a replacement log after reading previous logs. There was some discussion about which one to "tackle" once at GZ but I was pretty sure I could see something in one so off I go...was glad for all the places to put my feet (terrified of heights I am) and made it easier to get to where I was heading. Sure enough I was soon within reach of the cache and put the new log in the empty vessel. Unfortunately I didn't have an appropriate lid...coincidentally I have a cache at home with the same container but it's not as shiny. Great fun and very rewarding to get this smiley. Great teamwork here too TFTC Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024
Cool cache! KJR did the monkey work while I performed the role of site safety supervisor. Great reward for the team. TFTC
leaving the northisland on the afternoon, first thing to do in the south: climb and cache! one problem... : no paper in the teapot.for the next one, byop..aper!
Great cache, but no lid. There was no lid, the interior was not too wet, but it is sad to see that piece missing, it has probably been lost by someone having not enough hands, maybe if the lid was attached with a cable to the container it could help. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Tonight we went for a walk on the sandpit. On our way back, we decided to go get this cache. Mr9 quickly spotted the container. There was then a little fight on who would get the container. Mr9 and Dad went together. The container is missing its lid. The logbook was a bit wet.
Nice cache, got to the cache and found I had forgotten my pencil I put a marble in with the log instead
The Swiss cacher family with Spiess, J_walk, MsSophie and Drayah visited also New Zealand and this cache. TFTC!

Staying in the area today although got here fairly late in the day. Picking out one with high FPS showing on the caching app, GAR directed us here. Not a cache I would have logged as a find had he not been there. He had fun getting to the log, I have a fear of falling so was waiting with trepidation. Adding our own FP. Thanks for your efforts Kehu!
When I was in the area a couple of years ago was Infoferret this was one cache we wanted to get. However, we didn’t have the equipment needed nor a person who was quite happy to retrieve it for us. But tonight we had both in our group and so the cache was soon found in log sign. Many thanks TwigNZ.
In Nelson with TwigNZ, YetiNZ, Mr-mcgoo for a few days of caching and meeting up with other cachers from Nelson. All logs signed as NMTY.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Kehu.

(# 7824) A caching trip to Nelson with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. Day 1 of a 4 day trip interspersed with exploring and humour. A trip up the tree by one of the team but the container was empty and without the lid. We had a search around and found the lid and log. Did the duty and returned to the rightful place.
The log was signed as NuMpTY (or NMTY) for NZ_B, Mr-mcgoo, TwigNZ, & YetiNZ. Thanks for bringing me here.

Myself, along with NZ_B, YetiNZ and Mr-mcgoo are on a caching expedition to Nelson. This is something we planned a while back and have very much been looking forward to
During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.
Having attended the event NZ_B had created for our visit, the 4 of us were keen to do some late night caching so drove up to Motueka. We didn't mind the darkness, all being well armed with torches etc.
I do like a good tree climb cache, whether it be the traditional way of access of the more recently popular use of extendible ladders. Luckily we had brought such a ladder with us, and I had no hesitation in getting up there to find the cache. However, all I found was an empty container, so the crew below had a hunt around and found the lid and the log. Once they had sorted the logging out, I replaced it all back as it should be.
Thank you for setting this one up.

Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. With minimal specific agendas, and lots of unfound caches in the area, the goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding geocaches. Here is one we found.
This particular style of cache appeals to several members of our group, and one in particuar has several of his own up our way. So, despite the late hour by the time we got here there was no real difficulty in finding and retrieving this one.

Thanks to Kehu for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

Yay! That was fun! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache Thanks for being part of the adventure!
Well that was a fantastic adventure Very much enjoyed spotting and retrieving this cache. TFTC!
An enjoyable Tuesday afternoon introducing my friend Finn to geocaching.
A straightforward find, the retrieval was a bit trickier.

After a false start, I spotted the cx. Marchwood did the vertical retrieval since I am no where near that ability. Good to get this one off my to do list. TFTC.
Hubby climbed but not sure if he went high enough although he went pretty high. Never mind. Maybe another day.
We found this one with gangster granny and sent Fletcher up. Successful climbing - thank you for a great cache!
On a morning run from Mot Top 10. Bit of a vertical challenge but got there! TFTC
A bit too high up for Gangsta Granny but up goes my grandson and bingo he is on to it. Have had to wait for my grandson to visit so pleased to now have a smiley face
We had a look at this, but were unable to spot the cache. Based on previous logs, it seems unlikely this cache could have been reached by a couple of geriatrics.
There's no way i could get this without downsouthinv! He's a much braver soul than me! He zoomed to the gz and soon had cups of tea ready.. perfect !!
Wonder what on earth we will dind next on our journey!

This is the coolest hiding spot we have found. Pleased we had a climbing kid capable to get it.
Actually I did find (see) it, but at the age of 62, the brave pills don't have the same affect as they had when I was 8. Not only that, despite a potentially generous insurance payout, Mrs Kiwimykl (aka NZDi) seems to want me around for a while longer and forbade me to get this one.
Easy find but that's it ..its had a severe branch prune recently ok for monkeys but for me used an alternative method to start then it okgood luck to the next ones
Well if I wanted a cup of tea I needed to discard bike helmet etc and on up. Some branches cut, some broken but enough for leverage. Thanks for the adventure Kehu
Lovely interpretation of a tea tree. While on a bike ride with my son, we stopped here to identify the tree and find the cache. TFTC
After 4 days on the Abel Tasman Track we were in Motueka for the last night. This was the closest to camp so I took a look. Really, is that it there ??? Oh well, I have survived the week uninjured so far, why not give it a go. So, with trembling legs I went on. All good here, lid on and container inside. I did however find and old log and a green pen on the ground nearby. And, it still works too. I have got to give this one a favourite too.

Interesting spot, peaceful and quiet place. Visited during a nice sunny morning Mot walk. Found only a sack with logbook and pen, unfortunately the container is missing. Thank you.

Tregearp had previously visited and determined a ladder would be needed. I'm not sure it was absolutely necessary but it did ease the process of getting half way to the cache without needing to thread oneself between the branches. The cache itself remains firmly in place, but the lid was found on the ground - there's a piece of wire that it may have been attached to but its broken. There was a Santa hat half out of the cache but no log. Tregearp organised a replacement which she passed up. Lid also now back in place. Thanks Kehu for a fun cache.
Had scoped this out the other day, a number of branches were trimmed so flagged it with SJT_NZ to go back in weekend with a ladder to get things started. Today, ladder in hand SJT_NZ climbed up but found log was gone so I found a replacement and climbed ladder to pass up to him. Team climb and fantastic location and clever idea, thanks Kehu for the fun adventure.
Spending a couple of days in Motueka caching around the area. Aha could see it but we don’t do trees. Bad backs and knees are not conducive to climbing. Nice restful park though.
Thanks for bringing us here Kehu even if we didn't get a smilie.

It seems weird that caching is bringing me to places I haven't explored even though I grew up here in Motueka. The other thing that has taken me so long to discover is the significance of the early settlers. So two birds with one stone as they say ... but if I'm honest the big draw card was the opportunity of scoring another #treecache. I didn't spot any birds but I did find the cache. Great fun too! Thanks Kehu, have a favourite point.
Got to GZ and had an idea where to look, firstly chose the wrong one, then the 'bell' rang. I hopped up to the location worried my recent lavish lifestyle would not support the weight.
Got to where I needed to be and claimed the cache.
Well done, nice hide.
Off to finds some more after our 8 year break from NZ.
Greetings from the UK

Oh wow, this has been thrilling ... very very pleased my 9yr nephew was with me to retrieve the log and then return it. He totally loved this so thank you. Favourite point from us. TFTC
Awesome... Kids just loved climbing the tree. Very exciting cache to find. TFTC
Just the right time for morning tea! But I’m glad I had a willing volunteer to access this one. Good fun - TFTC and an FP here.
On our way from Takaka to Linkwater we planned just high FP caches and challenge caches. This was one of them. Good choice!!
What a great start to the day! The sun is out and there’s a nice straightforward tree climb in a gorgeous little Memorial Park. At the age of nearly 70 I’m glad I can still climb trees! Have yet another favourite point!

That was fun. I sent Samsterdamnz up there with a replacement log for others to sign. Tftc
Wow! No log to sign, photo can be sent if required to retain my smiley face.
Only be chance did I spot this, many a difficult reading on the phone

TFTC, bit of a work out, unfortunately no log book, however a Tongan flag was present.
I'm currently on my exchange year in NZ, but in the school holidays I got the opportunity to go on a tour of the North and South Island. We quickly spotted this one, and climbed up without a problem. But unfortunately, the canister was empty. I took some pictures. It would be great if this cache could be replaced, as it is very fun to climb up the tree!
Thank you so much for the cache,

Could see where it would be. But 68 years plus one beer plus climbing did not compute. Clever idea though
This is an awesome cache, I dropped the log but luckily mr 9 grabbed it and brought it back to me.
When we spotted where it was the girls were fighting on who was going to climb. There was no way mum & dad were going to let them so dad went back to change his shoes so he could do it. Safely retrieved log, remembered the pen , signed and came back down. Thanks for placing this cache. Favorite point from us for the effort in placing the cache and also the effort needed to retrieve
Hello from Perth WA

It took us two tries to find the desired object. But the turtle flew up gracefully and found a boiling hot and (unfortunately) very crowded log. TFTC

Before we entered the campingground I have to do a cache. This was a nice experience. I really do like the kind of climbing. Thanks a lot for the cache!!!
Today we made a trip over to Motueka to pick up some unfound caches and DNFs.
Great spot! Took us a while to figure it out but then got in a position where we were able to see the cache. Reminds me of another cache in Christchurch... Definitely worth a terrain of 3.5 at least! Great cache. TFTC

One of the best caches I've done so far, spend about 30mins at GZ, just before we wanted to give up I gave it last try and what a beauty it was, thank you for this beautiful place and cache
Visiting from Auckland, staying in the nearby holiday park. An evening walk here, very pleasant. Spotted where I needed to be, then carefully and slowly worked my way to the find. Fortunately no butter fingers, so all signed and replaced. Glad it's well attached. Great hide, great fun, have an FP. TFTC
