Logs
As noted a few times previously on this log we no longer live in the area and have failed to find anybody to take over care of this cache.
It has fended for itself for 2 years but given that it hasn't been found for several months and the DNFs are building up it is with regret that we are archiving Bikes and Bumps. If we pass through again and have the opportunity we may try to resurrect it but for now it's archived.
Feel free to place something here yourself - it's a great spot for a cahce.

A real shame as the family are bmx mad and was looking forward to logging this one. Coordinates took me to the edge of the track which did not seem right.
Fathers Day 2015 - an absolute perfect day to be out caching.
My wife was visiting her good friend who had recently had her first child - so not particularly keen to stay for all that I took the opportunity to grab Andrew on his first fathers day and take him geocaching! I'd left my phone in the car so the cache took a little bit of searching but after finding the cache and checking the details the hint no longer lines up with the placement. No problems though - still a pretty small area to search. No flowers though which was a shame as the CO makes them sound quite precious in her description.
Cheers the Andy&Kelly

#411 - on my way 2 raglan from papamoa, 2 our annual girls weekend. Cool BMX track, the hint got me going on the right direction. Noone around 2day being Thursday afternoon. Tftc.
We found a mint tin lid covered in black tape and mod22h thought that the cache was muggled but I, big butts in a can, went and looked harder and found the green prize.TFTC. And by the way Rach Down Under I have found more caches than u.
1050 Families out BMXing and enjoying the winter sunshine. No one was interested in me signing the log. That starting ramp looks steep.
GPS played up here, even tho there were no overhead obstacles. Just took my time whilst watching 4 bikers zoom around the track. Every now and then they would stop and look in my direction ... take off and zoom faster. Locked onto GZ and retrieved cache and SL'd, still enjoying the bikers. I guess they may have thought I was some sort of Scout For Talent ... LOL. Cheers A&K
Last find of the day after a long drive from Taihape. Funny that my sister was the last one to sign the log. T4tc
First find in Cambridge today and as the previous log has noted there was no log book in the cache. I have placed a piece of paper in there for now but only as a temporary measure. TFTC
Found vitamins container painted green. Completely empty on 4th January. Sorry we not carrying any replacers.
Have tried and failed at this one before so checked with a previous finder and emailed owner. Haven't heard back but took the liberty of taking a replacement cache just in case. Could not find it so hid cache in spot matching hint.
As cache owner I note a few DNFs over the last few weeks. As noted previously I'm afraid this cache is going it alone at the moment. We now live in Wellington and are no longer in a position to go and check the cache, previously a few DNFs in a row would trigger us going to check on it.
I am yet to find anybody to adopt this cache. If I get any more DNFs I will archive it and check on it when I next pass through Cambridge (which won't be for a while).
Sorry that we can no longer tend this one properly.

Tried a quick find after feeding our near by horse.
Just going dark and no one there at start then they put the flood lights on and were tidying the course by the looks of it, so that didn't help!
Like another log the GPS was taking us to somewhere definitely not where the cache would be.
Will try again in better light when no one there and we are in the area every day so will be in the bag soon!!
We will be back

Our second attempt at this one after several times passing, but the place looked too busy. We were on our way home from caching and kayaking around Horahora when we saw the place was deserted! It still took us a fair while to finally locate it, we nearly gave up, but there it was, waiting for us in the last place we looked! We are glad to tick this one off, especially as it may not be here in the future. TFTC.
Quick find while staying in the area attending the motorhome show. We have attempted this one on previous visits but there were always too many muggles. All clear today which made for an easy find TFTC.
17th for today, was convinced it was it was going to be a dnf, but the lad found it in a last ditch attempt, Tftc.
I can no longer maintain this cache as well as previously. I used to live 10 mins walk from it so checked on it regularly. We have just moved to Wellington, it was fine just before we left. For the time being this cache will be fending for itself relying on kind cacher's ad hoc maintenance as they find it; unless a generous local is willing to adopt it.
We may be back in the area again in a few years time, in which case I will be maintaining it again ... but until then I will check it when I can ... but that won't be very often.
If piles of DNFs start appearing I will have a low threshold for archiving it.

Nice easy find with TuisReturn.
Co-ordinates spot on.
We enjoyed touring around the area from cache to cache.

Great to be in the area after the mega event collecting caches with tmann421
Not sure how accurate the co-ords are on this one - my Garmin Oregon 550 (usually very accurate) had us pointed at a location a few metres onto the track, so clearly not there. A hang of a lot of places to look for a mint container down and behind the spot, and after 10 mins or so of looking in and around the vegetation we decided to use our time elsewhere. If you can give a hint where we are going wrong that would be great, but I would certainly suggest going back and re-checking the co-ords so they are close to the position of the container.
Waited for a school day and made the grab while the keen bikers were absent. Left the handheld GPS at home so it took longer than expected.
Chose a quiet day with no local traffic to do this. had a bit of trouble getting the gps to settle down but got there in the end. TFTC
No muggles today. Lots of scrabbling round to no effect, then there it was TFTC
As promised I returned and in the words of Hillary I knocked.... . Still took a little while but a find is a find. TFTC
Don't have a BMX bike but kinda tempted to try this on the mountain bike. Tried to find this one a few weeks ago, but there were lot more muggles about then than today, so didn't really have a good look. Pretty much had the place to myself today so could spend some time looking. Kinda frustrated I didn't get this last time, I was sure I checked there.
We left the flowers alone and that helped us to locate the cache without too much trouble. Plastic bag has a few small holes poked in it from the pencil, but we didn't have a small enough bag with us to replace it, sorry. Log is dry & plenty of room in it. Really interesting track. Had lunch and watched the action for a while. TFTC
Yay second visit and we found it! Had nearly given up hope but one last check uncovered it. Thanks!
took several attempts and an email to a previous finder, even after been given the heads up on it's location I still looked in the wrong place. But after thinking a little bit harder it was eventually located

A very flash track. There were a handful of youngsters zooming around it but GZ is nicely tucked away from sight.
Many thanks
Many thanks
Tried to have a dig around despite the muggles, but no luck and we felt too obvious so we'll try again another time.
Completing his geocache was a bit like taking an exam!
One of the geocachers that placed the cache was with me at the time monitoring my every move, and what's more he is my son in law. I thought geocaching was supposed to be a fun activity!!

Lots of kids here today - even very little ones. Thought it may be too hard to find cache but I was surprised how easy it was and no one noticed What a great facility TFTC
Looked at this one last week on the way past last week but didn't even get out of the car as there was a bunch of guys doing track maintenance. Stopped again this morning & there was one dad & son obviously practising starts.Snuck over the fence & soon had the cache in hand without them knowing i was even there.Cool spot, thankyou.
I didn't find this on my first visit here and I must of had my fingers touching it. Memo for next time have a better look tftc

Cache find took Mr Geckoh longer than it probably should have but he got there in the end. Glad to find the area totally deserted nice and early in the morning. TFTC

This is rather an impressive facility, but we are far too ancient to participate in it.
Lots of minimuggles on MTBs (I thought an MTB was a British Motor Torpedo Boat), but it was fantastic to see them having fun and how their "Olds" were working on the track. Now the trick to get the cache, is to look old and pretend that you are taking pictures of this next generation. Meanwhile some canny old cacher sneaks in and grabs the goodies. Youth and enthusiasm will never outwit age and treachery.
Out on a cache drive with Spiderhouse. A brilliant day filled with good company, a CITO, and some cache hunting in between.
Had my sights set on getting this one, but have always been put off by the number of muggles using this location. Would have chickened out again today, but Mr Spiderhouse was keen to just do it. We found a side entrance and walked to ground zone. Mr S. went for the cache while I provided some cover. Cache quickly found. Really impressed with the excellent facilities. TFTC and thanks to Mr Spiderhouse's bravery.

Awesome place, a huge improvement on the older Cambridge track. And amazing skills on display while I quietly signed the log. Well done on placing your 1st cache, TFTC
looks like a great place for kids and adults alike. shame i didn't have my bike. Thanks Andy and Kelly.
This is cache #596 for me, and my last for 2012 - didn't quite get to 600 as planned. Thought this would be a bit difficult, with several kids blasting around on the jumps, but it was actually pretty easy to get without being seen. TFTC!

Out and about doing a pot of collecting before having to do more mundane chores in the afternoon.
Looks like a great spot for budding cyclists, was all quiet on arrival but a dad with two kids were there as I left racing each other for the line

With 3 new caches published and a beautiful blue sky, the wife and I deciede to head to Cambridge and again clean it all out.
We arrived shortly after leaving Hamilton to find the spot empty. There was not a sole around, which with the heat today is not a surprise. A quick walk and we were at GZ. Took a minute or two before I had the cache in hand.
A great spot. Thanks

This one has eluded us today. The flowers are suffering it seems. Come back another day
I had never been here before and found it really interesting. I,ve never appreciated the height and length of the jumps and the steapness of the banked corners until this visit. TFTC.
