A Whakatane cache - cool!
Needed some patience and equipment to pull this little devil out - but finally made it
Thanks to Geckoh for this cache - and cheers from Germany!

Whakatane trip, the mission was 48 geocaches in 24 hours. It was epic, we got 49. This was Number 36 find. Neat little track, wasn't going so we missed out on a ride. Just ' another hole in the wall'...
Found originally as part of Rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
We came when the trains were not running, returned the next day. They have a webcam which we checked the next day, we can be such big kids. Thanks for the hide, and we got to ride!

The trains are not running today, but they will tomorrow as its the last day of the school holidays. We hope to get a ride when we return, fingers crossed the rain stays away for a little bit longer. Clever hide, although we had a magnet it was not required. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here, back tomorrow!
While travelling around in New Zealand we visited this cache.
Thank you for letting us see the country!

Very quiet out on this walkway this afternoon. Maybe normal people are at work today
Many thanks
Many thanks
We didn't think it was that hard to retrieve. After fiddling with some sticks we soon had the cache out.
Lot's of muggles walking right past so had to be stealthy.
Thanks again Geckoh

Between the showers got to gz but very tricky to retrieve. Glad there were not too many muggles about. Eventually estranged using some local "tools" tftc
In the area for the long weekend and decided to go for a early morning walk while the family was still fast asleep. Pleasant walk to GZ and not a soul in sight. Made my way to GZ and quickly spotted the cache. No problems retrieving it. Will need to bring the kids here later as they will love the train. TFTC
Have been on a few miniature railways with the kids over the years, was unaware of this one, nicely hidden, many thanks.
13.15 - Visiting from Cairns. Here in beautiful God's end and on a round trip from Wellington around the East Cape. Found this little beauty along my route. +/-0. T4TC
What a great little track. Loved the sidings. No one around so found easy enough. TFTC
Loved looking for this cache. Great clues, and loved being the detective/ninja during our search. Very helpful with the tool attached to this as well...Woooo hooooo, and ONWARDS WE GOOOO....
Thanks for putting a cache here. We were looking for things for the kids to do while on holiday in the area and they all loved going on the train ride. Had to be careful to find in between two trains going round the track! #199
Found with The Brown Treasures; another one towards the 176 degree challenge. Looks like an interesting place, we will have to return sometime when the trains are running. A few muggles around but able to retrieve and replace cache unseen using a tool we had in the caching bag. We nearly got taken out by a skateboarder while walking across the foot bridge near the skate park though. TFTC!
I saw the miniature train and lots of people when we were at the lookout on the hill on Sunday. Easy find today whilst biking along the waterfront on this quiet day, and also a convenient twig nearby that helped with retrieval. Tftc.
Unfortunately no trains was running. Found together with LBTW. TFTC from Sweden.
Quick find for us today while checking out the miniature trains. TFTC

Stayed the night in the nearby car park so popped along early before too many muggles were about nice we hide tftc.
Another quick find as my wife and I cycled back up the Warren Cole Walkway after visiting The Heads. My improptu tool worked.[^] TFTC.
yeah went for a play and wandered over to grab. forgot pen. so had to take pic
Thanks Geckoh another nice easy find boy had in hand quickly signed and returned .
Found with Zatz after dinner at 22h00.
I planned doing this one because I have a magnetic stick in my geocacher backpack which I never used before. Wasn't that difficult to get the cache even without my special equipment though.
Tftc & Greetings from Luxembourg

We nearly gave up on this one and log a dnf but mrs b spied a likely looking container under the trees. Sure enough it was the cache but no log in it. Replaced the log and replaced in where we are sure it belongs. Glad we found this one, as we needed it for the 176 challenge. Tftc.
Early start for a cache challenge today, cache spotted and retrieved with a TOTT TFTC.
Found whilst on a driving tour from Australia around the coast of North Island. TFTC
Out for the day with squirrel nutcase for an assault on Geckoh territory.
A few mini muggles in the playground but they were more interested in swinging and sliding than in what we were doing. Tricky little hide, but managed to retrieve by using locally available materials.
Thanks Geckoh.

Quite a few muggles playing near by, but fortunately out of view of GZ
Was able to make the grab without the need of a tool - skinny fingers & longish nails helped! TFTC

Last one for the day better head for home, suppose to be going out for tea. Cache all good - nice area here for kids and adults tftc
Luckily we picked the right Sunday and had the place to ourselves. We always carry spare tools when we are in Geckoh land because we know they will come in useful... TFTC
Cache hunting in the Eastern Bay today. Its been a while since I ventured out this way. In my absence, there seems to have been a mini run of new caches...
Last cache for the day. Remembered this area from the River Multi. Walked into ground zone; and after checking a few holes, spotted the cache. Didn't bring any tools, but improvised with what was lying on the ground. A clever hide. TFTC.

Having a day about & around Whakatane which includes a few of your caches & this is the first.Really enjoy them Geckoh, clear, concise & predictable.Thankyou for your efforts, the area is well worth coming to.
Forgot to bring a retrieval aid, but in the end fingers were sufficient. No trains today but that looks like fun for the grandchildren. We will return at a suitable time. The playground will be an added bonus. TFTC

Pity it wasn't working today. Mycro Man loves these trains. Will have to come back one day on a day the train is running. T4TC. Did with Mycro Man
A busy spot with kids on the playground and model railwayers. Hubby dived into undergrowth while kids played on swings!
