The road stops about 230 m short of the cache. The road is now blocked. Walked in and found it. Nice views.

Okay, archive time, regrettably
This (former) cache apparently resides next to the northside's biggest grinch.
Lyno & Arken's post in May 2014 was an alert to today's events, but fng_affl's post today seals the deal. This cache is ARCHIVED.
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE SITE - THE NEARBY PROPERTY OWNER IS A FEW WHEAT BAGS SHORT OF A SILO, by the sounds of it...
Quoted from fng_affl's note to us:
"Half way back to the car, I saw a man standing next to my car. Not exactly what I was expecting. When I got there, he asked me what I was doing on his property. I told him it was my understanding that it was a road, and council land. He informed me that he has purchased it and it is now private land. I apologised to him and stated that I simply did not know that.
He informed me that people have been in that area, shooting Koalas. He has taken to shooting at lights and wheels on cars. This may be more fiction that fact, but a cacher going in at night with a head lamp could be in a dangerous situation. Let alone the fact that it is now private land.
I just felt that I should pass on this information, as this guy was not happy that I was there, and I would hate to have him irate at the next cacher that goes in."
REPEAT: PLEASE DO NOT GO AFTER THIS CACHE - WE DO NOT WANT ANYTHING BAD TO HAPPEN

YAY, a bush cache! It's in the bush that I feel most at home. It was very refreshing to find this cache after hunting in suburbia for a few hours. I took the time to sit back and just take in the view of the floodplains and the breath in the fresh air. Before I fell asleep I decided it was best to get back to the hunt. The cache was found, looked over, log signed and then replace back as found.
This cache was part of an Aussie Day Adventure cache run. What's a better way to get out and celebrate this great country then heading outside and finding a few caches. The area being explored today was roughly around the Burpengary region. There wouldn't have been any sense in trying to cache up here on the Sunny Coast as it would have just been impossible due to all of the Tourist Muggles that had migrated up for the long weekend.
There was a goal today, and that goal was to grab 50 caches between 0900 and 1700... Awesomely, that goal was smashed with a grand total of 54 finds! I am glad to say that this cache was one of those lucky caches to be found.
Thanks for the cache Slow Puncture (LJCC). This cache was in good order.

Out and about while visiting in Narangba today and decided to try a few caches in the area. I managed to find a variety of caches in some very interesting locations, this was one of them.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.
As mentioned in a previous log the road has been taped off about 200 metres from the cache. So after parking nearby I strolled down, found the cache and returned to my vehicle where I met Allan who resides in the nearby house.
Apparently the road has been taped off to prevent the local idiots going down there and shooting the wildlife in the area. There is a camera mounted on the pole at the top of the hill.
After a half hour conversation with Allan I headed off, so take care down there.

My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 29, Redcliffe.
No 11 of 14 today. Thanks, Slow Puncture (LJCC). I have arrived at said boondocks. The dogs and I enjoyed the walk down the hill. I enjoyed the views, the GeoSchnauzers enjoyed barking at the cows. Strangely enough, the cows came over and stared interestedly at the dogs!! Lucky cows aren't carnivorous. Good cache, thanks.

An enjoyable day of caching with The Drovers where we did lots of walking through several parkland and bush area.. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Nice one [^][^] Thanks to Team LJCC.
Still camped at the showgrounds, and headed out again with Liz and Bruce.
We visited many parks and reserves, and found a wide variety of cache hides.
This cache was found quickly, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Team LJCC, for us and others to find.

Would probably not have ventured off on my own to find this one, but accompanied on this outing by geo husband and weekend house guest, Selva Girls. 2nd find by geo husband! Beautiful scenery, Down In The Boondocks. cache carefully replaced to same spot.
With CuriousQuest. Parked the car and wandered down to GZ, admiring the view along the way. Went to where my unreliable phone sent me, only to find that it started to jump around so moved to where I might get better reception. Looked and the hint and began to look around based on this, ignoring phone. Next thing I know, CuriousQuests mugglehubby (now turned geohubby - I think they make a great caching team) was standing right where I had first been with the cache in his hands. :/ Cant believe that I was standing right next to it!!!!!! Anyway, we signed the log, returned the cache and headed off to the next one
Wow! I love finding new access points to the lake. Beautiful
Thanks for the views and cache!
As I came back, the neighbour was checking mail and eyed be suspiciously. I gave her a cheery 'Hello', and headed on my way.
Gonna have to wash all that dust of my car now

We found the sign and tape at the end of the road too. But I said to Dannza "it dosen't say no walking" so off we went. No grumpy locals approached us today and we found the cache safe and well. Enjoyed the stroll on a lovely Winters Day. TFTC Team LJCC
Found after a lovely short stroll, aahhh but now back UP to the car. LOL Lovely area.....
Drove down Cooper Road till we hit the rise, where someone has put some tape across the road where the track begins. So we parked the car and walked the rest of the way, found the cache and signed the logbook.
On returning to the car we were confronted by a grumpy old man who lives on the property that runs next to the track and I am guessing is the one who put up the tape to stop the cars driving down. According to him we are not allowed down the road. We pointed out to him that the sign says "No camping, no fishing and no canoeing," it does not say anything about no walking, so we just got into the car and left. Looking at the map now, the track is not on private property and there is no sign visible when looking at Street View, so I am guessing he put the sign up too.
Enjoy the views and the surrounds, just watch out for the local grumpy muggle!

Out and about today with IolantheK for a bit of caching on the north side.
Most of the caches I found today, IolantheK has already found,
As we drove down the last bit of the track there was a car parked there I wonder what they are doing?
We met AladdinSane56 and his lovely wife.
Thanks for the cache.

IolantheK and Brother Colin arrived soon after we arrived. Brother Colin and geowife went looking. Black real quickly. Nice spot. TYFTC.
We drove right down to GZ in our new CX5 with no worries at all and made a nice quick find. TNLNSL TFTC
Well isn't there a beautiful view from the boondocks? We parked at the top of the hill just before sunset and stopped to admire the view. Our moment of reverie was soon cut short though as a bird made its high pitched call and the geogirls were certain it was a bigfoot [:o)] Cue Freddo tossing sticks into the bush in front of them and stirring them up by saying "WHAT WAS THAT???" and sneakily making "bigfoot noises" behind them (thanks very much discovery channel for filling all their heads with this information). By the time we reached gz the girls were thoroughly freaked out and refused to step into the bush to hunt for the cache Luckily Bigfoot stayed away long enough for me to find the cache and sign the log Thanks for a very entertaining hunt Team LJCC all is well with this cache. Oh, and we dropped off the walking boot TB for a visit home too
Got Ya! Find number 6 for the day. A nice fine n dry day had no trouble in driving all the way to gz. Pull up jumped out n there she be. Sign log, cache in top nick, a little tail flick and off to the next one. Happy new year
Starting my day with Wombles n Co today and this was the first on our long list of hopefuls! We drove as close to GZ as I dared to go and made the wee walk down the hill... a very easy find and our first cache for the day was a success
The trek back up the hill wasn't so pleasant... I must be getting old, it didn't seem that steep or long

After a change of meeting point due to trains not running, I checked if there were any caches on our way to where we were orginally going to start and this one was first along the way.
That hill didn't seem so steep going down!
Lovely view from here.

Work was done for the week so I took off at lunchtime for a caching afternoon and this one was next on my list.
I followed the road down and had no problems taking the Bedmobile to within a few meters of GZ.
I had a couple of muggle cows look at me as I drove in, they have a nice spot because the views over the lake are pretty good from here. I’ve passed this road so many times so finally I know what’s at the end of it.

The little lancer would have made it to GZ no worries today. Not so sure she would have gotten back out though. Sensibility won out and the trek to GZ was made on foot Another cache that had us hunting for a while
It's Freaky Friday with teamdfl again The rain made teamdfl wary of the road so we took the walk to GZ. The clue had us laughing, but we eventually worked out which three it referred to Then it was a quick find. We also got some great photos across the dam. TFTC, Team LJCC.
With fading light, this was to be the last cache for the day. Turned out to be a quick find, so had a bit of time to admire the lake.
I never knew about this road and how close to the lake it takes you! Thanks Team LJCC.

Reading the previous logs one thing caught my eye - 4WD required by some.. - Yess. This is my lucky day. 4WD geo-mobile with me I had to get this pone out of the way. The trip to the cache was perfect for the geo-mobile and saved me the last bit of walking. What was really shameful was the fact that someone has used this area as a private dump
Did my best to take a couple of things with me but no mean feat for the amount of rubbish that has been left here.
Didn't take too long for the prize to be spotted but I did take some time to soak in the view from here. Thanks for bringing us here Team LJCC

No. 441
The road to this cache was a bit too rough for my car, so I parked about 200m up the hill and wandered down in my high heels [:o)]. Once I reached the end, I was surprised and saddened to see the pile of rubbish, but it had to be put out of my mind since there was a cache to be found.
A quick check of the obvious places produced the well-stocked cache. I didn't have the Geodaughters with me, so didn't do any swaps. All is safe and dry and I returned to the car with the cache's namesake song stuck in my head.
Thanks for the cache Team LJCC .
Tin Tin the Paint Tin Opener was here.

Wow. Nice walk! Been raining on and off so didn't attempt driving down! And someone has decided to convert the area into a rubbish dump. Shame on some people! So, wonder what you guys were thinking when you saw this little pathway!! TFTC
Found at 1006. Decided to walk the last couple of hundred Ms, but found it OK and all is well with the cache TFTC.
Snuck out today with Mrs Prime`[:X] to try and get a little bit of sunshine and fresh air[^] into our lives. And I managed to convince her that a few caches up around here would fit the deal. Having been nipping about suburbia for an hour or so we headed out to the boonies along a road that wasn't marked very far, but seemed to exist most of the way once we were driving on it. Pulled up a couple hundred metres shy and trundled down the hill on foot, and made the quick find where the hint said it would be. Funny that. Back up the hill and then ten minutes scraping mud off the shoes before being allowed back into the car. Great views from here, a lovely part of the world.
Thanks for placing this cache, Team LJCC. Found in good condition.

Love Sunday mornings for riding and caching. Out for a ride with geo-brother in the lovely cool and quiet. These were a couple of great views and hills on the bikes! Phew! Cache in good shape. Thanks team LJCC
Out and about caching with nyssaflutterby, egginthesky, madman04 and mini munchkins for Anzac day. We parked nice and close to the GZ and headed in for retrieval apparently I was looking in all the wrong places as egginthesky made the find. Thanks for the cache team LJCC

They call him Fangsoki - and he's never been down this road before.
Team Lokipagan, Totalube, and I made our way to this one. I was getting concerned about my 2WD and the road - but it made it there a-okay. We pulled up at the "end" and started our hunt.
I soon spotted the prize - safe and sound. We signed the log and returned it to its home.
What a great view from here - thanks for showing me the area. TFTC Team LJCC

Definitely a lovely view of the lake, especially with the great weather today. The cache was a quick find. Thanks Team LJCC
OK, I admit I was apprehensive about going down this road, I know that 2WD vehicles could make it, but with Loki telling tales of cars getting stuck, well lets just say I was very impressed by the expertise of our driver Fangsoki [^]
Cache was found easily with spot on coordinates. A nice spot.
Thanks

Had never been to this side of Lake Kurwongbah and the lake is full to the brim.
There were a group of ducks swimming around on the surface.
Parked at the top of the track and I walked down to GZ and the cache.

I awoke this morning to see this cache had been published but in the FTF frenzy of getting all munchkins into the car clothed I didn't think to check that it had not been found yet, oops. A mad dash to a place I knew well (I had plans on placing a cache here, but I guess you snooze you lose!) and I started to head down the dirt road. Well the river more like it, there was a small stream running down the hill, but nothing the monster truck couldn't handle I did notice that there were already tire prints from this morning which meant only one thing, I was not going to be FTF. OH well! Still a smiley for my map I found the cache with only a small hunt and opened to see that my friends membsec, barbbowman and Fasted59 had all already been here an hour ago! Hmmm, I checked my email again to see that it had been delivered an hour late, silly emails! Congratulations to membsec for FTF Now off to get the munchkins to school.

*FTF* at 6:40am. We were just waking up when the phone went off. [|)] We looked at each other, I was quite happy to stay in my bed and listen to the rain, but geohubby got up and then I thought, oh, we are going to it. Looked at the description and only having a 'normal' car we weren't too confident in reaching this one but we will at least have a go.
We debated for a while which way to go, one option was a no-no due to it being closed so we finally made a decision and headed off. [^] Traffic was great going to the cache and of course we get that one red light near us!!! As we approached the said road things were looking good and we reached the top and then that's as far as we were game enough to go in the car. It's not too bad really but we know our car and we didn't like the thought of coming back up when so wet, so a quick walk to GZ it had to be in the rain.
Got to GZ and walked in circles......following the arrow on the GPSr, it wasn't enjoying the rain either. Read the hint, oh and then ended up in the wrong place....oops. Finally the GPSr settled and took us close to the cache. Saw the ftf certificate, thanks, and then knew we were ftf!!
What a lovely place to put a cache. [^] We were able to view the lake at its extended length. Now back up the hill and into the dry car. Debated again about which way to go home and decided to go the way we came........very slow drive back home, but we don't mind after getting a ftf!

Saw this one this morning and took off.
Arrived at GZ and the GPS didn't want to play the game with the weather. Eventually we just stood back and saw what we wanted. From there it was a quick find.
Enjoyed the views. TFTH
