#417 another nice quick find and 3 of 6 for the day

Arrived and made a quick park before taking the quick stroll off to gz. Got to gz, but took me a few seconds until I spotted it. A nice quick find but again, no pencil so couldn't sign. Photo taken for the record. Replaced this cache before heading off.

Box is actually a bit worrying, doesn't look too safe. Oh well.

Thanks for the cache josh_991!

24-Feb-14
geoP is still flying solo and due to time constraints needed anoth quick p&g.

Arrived at GZ with a few drops of water falling from the sky however as I was waiting for muggle dog walkers to pass the heavens opened up a bit more. I had to make a hasty retreat back to the car to wait out both the rain and muggle dog walkers.

Once all was a clear a quick find sign and replace was made.

Interesting spot for a cache.

Probably not the best place for a cache given where it is. It may be dead but it is a gamble. TFTC SL

Find number 36 of 39 on our cityside RRPT caching day! 41.6km over 7 hours. Many thanks to ICP for lending us their bikes [^].
We did manage to find this one but are a bit concerned with the placement. I think this would be considered private property and there have also been a few problems with Brisbane caches placed on electrical equipment such as transformers that have been pulled up by reviewers. All good with the cache though.
Thanks josh_991 Big Grin

I'll investigate this and replace full logs on the weekend.
Thanks for all for finding.

Think that the man got too angry with people snooping around here and got rid of the cache.

11-Sep-13
Saw no angry man but was definately wary of the hide....

Nice day for being outside. I wonder how long that hiding place will stay there before it is removed by authorities ?????
Great idea for persons wanting a walk. TFTC SL

No muggles today. I rode my bike for this section of the power trail and my gps must be so used to me on foot I overshot this one, but backpeddled and found it. TFTC.

North Qld 2013. Day 11, the Third full day in Townsville. Today was the second day of Ross River Power Trail caches. A fair bit hotter today. After setting my bike up, I set out and visited a large range of caches along the river. It was a good range of caches some easy, some hard. I did not do them all but enjoyed everything I managed. Not much left of whatever this was meant to be. Thanks.

Day three caching with pprass.
We decided to do the town area, as we thought there would be a few less muggles.
Cache was exactly where we expected it to be, but fully exposed.
After signing, covered it as best we could.
Thanks for the cache, josh_991.

Quick find today before flying out.

Really hoping this thing is safe. I am not a fan of the cache placement, as it potentially encourages cachers to delve into places they shouldn't go (like switchboards).

Got a new GPSr for Xmas so thought I'd hit this side of town and find a few caches and work through the new system. The terrain today is a little more forgiving than the mountains near Cairns that I did yesterday.

Cache located quite easily thanks to my geoferals.

Headed further down the track and spotted where this one should have been from a way off. Still when I got there I couldn't spot it straight away as I wasn't expecting it to be precisely where I finally found it. I don't think this placement complies with the guidelines actually but will leave it to others to make that call. Signed and replaced.

Thanks!

We approached this one and saw a few people milling around GZ when we met up again with ICP. No problems in finding the cache.
Was an interesting hide that a few people may be cautious with. I didn't have the tools on me to actually tell if this cupboard had a live feed to it, there was certainly nothing flowing through it.
It looks like it is all disconnected though.

We stood around at this one talking about all things caching for a while

After collecting a geokid from school and meeting back up with Geodad we where off to grab the cache.

I remember this place and boy has it changed. The big hill of dirt is a different colour and the trees have gone. Along the path there was a structure to the side that stuck out like a big sore toe of an angry man!!!

Geokids grabbed the cache, it was quickly signed, just in time to see Team packetstorm coming along the path from the other way!!!

Another FTF for the day! WOO HOO

Thanks josh_991...great little series and a must for geocachers!
