Hi there ozpirate,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

###**CACHE OWNER PLEASE NOTE**###
----------
This cache would seem to have had some welcomed action on behalf of the CO by a Good Samaritan - 'Nibletricecakes', so it fortunately lives for another day.
Please remember that cache maintenance arrangements need to be proactive, not reactive. This means regular visits (by the CO) to check on the cache and not relying on or expect passing seekers to fix issues or replace missing caches.
Even though a Good Samaritan has addressed the issue, there is still a need to remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute - see here: [**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon.**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and then Enable the cache - see this link: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) .
**I have removed the NM attribute and Enabled the cache for you on this occasion.**

With a previous finder who confirmed the cache missing and so organised a replacement for the CO. Had etched this weekend out for a Mega down south, but with that postponed we thought a weekend adventure in the Tumut region would help fill the gap. A lovely trip with crazy weather (I love spring snow) and a few surprise side trips. So glad we made the trip! Thanks for the cache.
Came back for a second look but couldn't find it. I suspect some well-intentioned groundsman has disposed of it, throwing the rocks mentioned in the description into the woodchip garden.
Oh well, we tried!
Oh well, we tried!
Day three of my travels around Yass and Tumut chasing caches. Drove a few back roads collecting caches amongst the traffic (lots of people were up in the mountains over the long weekend). A good range of caches before heading home around lunch time. Drove through a little part of the summer bushfire country but f I had have headed through Tumbarumba would have been a different story.
As others have said this is a bit of a mess. Nothing much to sign left.

Thanks for the cache. Kids loved seeing all the wood piles. Log too wet to sign with crack in cache.
Cornered it, full of biting ants. Needs new log & ant removal. Lovely day for a cycle
#6021 15th for today
I was starting to get a bit stir crazy at home so I decided to head out and grab a few caches around the Adelong & Tumut area. It was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot and mostly muggle free, for obvious reasons. I was a bit late getting away due to ScoMo's broadcast this morning. But I still managed to make a good impact on the unfound caches in the region. I particularly enjoyed the wander around the old gold-mining works around Adelong. A bit of water flowing through here today and with the green, it was good to see. Also enjoyed the walk around the wetlands in Tumut. Some lovely views along the Tumut Plains road later in the day too.
Apologies for the smell of hand sanitizer on the log. I went through a lot today.
Thanks ozpirate

Quick easy find paper log is rough and needs replacing will stop back in with some
There was a small group of "us" heading off to meet more of "us" in Tumut for the weekend. Our merry band of misfits was made up of MTrax, Tankengine, Joolay, Aquilus1 and myself. In the car we all thought of a name that we could call our gang, but in the end we decided it was a Canberra Invasion Trip that we were on so just went with CBR5. We signed logs either indiviually or with the group name.
It was an awesome weekend all up, with lots of fun with friends. We cached all day then met up with the rest of the Invasion Team for dinner Saturday night, then cached some more on Sunday until it was time to head home.
**The Cache** We parked close by the GZ. With spot on coords it was a straight forward find. Signed and replaced then off we go again. Tftc ozpirate!!!

Day 2 of our invasion of Tumut saw us packing up camp before heading out for a full day of caching.
Teamed up with Albida33 for the most part of the day before we headed home.

Found with dty73, Aquilus1, Joolay and Mtrax on our Canberra invasion of Tumut and surrounds! (Log signed as CBR5). Of course, we also had a lot of other Canberra cachers in town this weekend, and we all had a dinner on Saturday night at the pub! It was a great weekend, and I think a lot of us "cleaned out Tumut" Thanks for the cache ozpirate.
Collecting a few more smileys in the area before I have to turn around and head home. TFTC.
Found with CBR5-DTY73, Tankengine, MTrax and Aquilus1 on a caching trip to Tumut. Having a great day, lots of fun. Unless otherwise stated cache found in good condition.
Pa and I are down here early for Canberra's Invasion of Tumut this coming weekend. We took advantage of being old and grey, ok I'm being ageist, to explore the area.
A quick find here, and I took it back to Pa in the car to sign as it was raining and I like to keep the logs dry.
All caches have been signed some as SG which is what I do to save space in small logs. TFTC

Geowife searched while we waited in the car. In the end, I had to get out and point it out to her
Fun find working on the clues. Three billy goats still together having lots of laughs. Newbie is hooked and will go GCaching with grandson.
Camped in Tumut for a couple of days. Hot day today, off to tackle some caches in the area. Container was badly damaged and log was soaked, have replaced both and returned to original hide. TFTC
It was an early start to the day when I set out with Aquilus1 at 0600 on Sunday morning (04/01/2018) to cache Tumut with a side trip to Gundagai. In all we travelled 520kms and it took almost 16 hours to visit 70 plus caches with 65 finds. A long but very enjoyable day. Some of the highlights of the day included visiting Junction Bridge (a Truss Bridge built in the 1800s), Googarragandra River Suspension Bridge (Built in 2006 and Spanning 51..8 meters), Tumut River Grey-headed Flying Fox Colony, Tumut Rail Station and the Tumut River. We had a little time to also visit the Old Gundagai Jail built in 1859 and the Old Flower Mill built in the 1848. Aquilus1 took a photo of me at the Brungle Centenary Park using my poker to poke the cache out of its hiding spot. We had lunch at Gundagai McDonalds and snacks at Subway. This is a generic log due to the volume of all the caches that we found on the day. Thanks to Aquilus1 for a fantastic day of caching and thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of 31st January 2018 my average was only 20 words per log, which seems close to the 100 target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 2350 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including today), the average log length is just over 50. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my gaol before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.

It was an early start to the day that saw Darksidedan and myself heading to Tumut for the day with a side trip of some Gundagai caches as well as we travelled through. I had been keen to head off for a caching trip and Tumut looked ideal and definitely didn't disappoint. The scenery as we traveled through the area was everything I had hoped it would be and the clear fast flowing rivers beautiful as they flowed through the middle of it all.
A long but very enjoyable day, so many highlights and although we covered a large area and many caches I'm pleased to know there are many more so a return trip sometime is definitely going to happen.
Drove past this on our way through with a caravan broken down across the roadway but on our way back could just get through and the NRMA guy was busy doing his best. This was the closest park n grab I've done for a while with one foot still in the car! Containers broken but logs good in its new bag. The NRMA guy had left so stopped to talk to the older caravan man, had to wait for a tow truck but he was all ok while he did and didn't need anything and well stocked as a caravan would be. Thanks for the cache ozpirate.

This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but with some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.
Today we spent most of the day in the car travelling from Tumut to Tarcutta, Culcairn, Finley, Cobram and Corowa. The main purpose of such a route was to visit another waypoint for a multi which started in Canberra and to find GCA caches in four Local Government Areas as we work towards the CGA Trophy Challenge of finding at least one GCA cache in all Local Government Areas (LGA) within a 100km radius of our finding centroid. Our current centroid is in central Victoria meaning that the LGAs we need to visit are all in Victoria and we will have to visit them during trips outside Tasmania. If we could find a GCA cache in the four LGAs today, we would only need to find a cache in another seven LGA to complete the challenge. So we planned a long day driving. With such a long trip we took the opportunity to look for some GC caches in each of the areas visited and along the way. In fact we found many more GC caches than GCA caches but we managed to reach our GCA goals for the day.
There were a number of GC caches on the Snowy Mountains Highway between Tumut and the Hume Freeway and we stopped to look for, and found, most of them.
Both our GPS units were very erratic at this location and they wanted to take us all over the place. Caching experience and instinct took over and we soon located the cache. The cache however is in immediate need of TLC. The container has a broken lid and the logbook, after being quite wet and then drying out, is now very brittle. Thanks ozpirate for this cache and others you have placed in the area.
***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 408 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 97.0. We are now entertaining the possibility that we might be able to achieve our gaol before this trip ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

Spending the day out and about with muggle starlight and fellow cacher ynnbub exploring the Tumut area, day 2 of our journey is taking us to Adelong. Stopped on the way to collect this one.
Just as my brain rejected the thought of a buried cache the hint kicked in. Nice one though a plastic bag would help keep the log in better repair.
Found in clear sight this morning camp probably was blown away during recent storms. SL and replaced what camp I could find. TFTC
Was able to park close to GZ and had no problems in finding this cache. The log was signed and the cache was replaced as found. Thank you ozpirate for placing this cache.
Today was the first full day of our caching adventure with Rapidlywild in Tumut. I have never really been to Tumut before and was quite surprised by the size and the beauty of the place. Lovely water ways that were crystal clear. Just a lovely place to drive around and explore.
This was a little sneaky but spotted pretty quickly.

After arriving into Tumut last night, we got up this morning with intentions to get as many finds as possible. We seen some wonderful scenery today, and loved the running waters around Tumut.
The smell of freshly cut wood was very strong here, I actually enjoy the smell.
Thanks ozpirate for the placement of this cache[^]

On a trip to Tumut for a day of geocaching with Indianagleeson. This one was a quick little park and grab. We were able to park the car right next to the cache and block our activity from the passing traffic. Tftc.
In Batlow for the weekend but had to duck into Tumut to get some supplies and grab a quick cache to fill another hole in our calendar.
A nice easy find.

Day eight of our High Country holiday. Another sunny day at Tumut with Bettyboo3747
Got out the deadly treadlies for a relative early morning ride along the river and wetlands.
We then travelled to Adelong for some caches and a walk around the mining area.
I think the stones are breeding around there because there are now three stone at GZ
Hard to tell which are the adults.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 9966. I got up early today and headed out on the bike to the river path and then into the wetlands. What a great start to the day. Then we got ready and drove to Adelong, collecting a few caches on the way before visiting the old Gold Mining area.
Pulled in near the mill and Rob jumped out for a quick retrieval. Added our names and off to visit the old rail line and cutting.
Thanks ozpirate

Find 137 + 3 DNF's on an overnight trip to Wagga Wagga. On our way back home via Tumut. Unfortunately I couldn't find this one. One for another day, thanks ozpirate.
We decided on a trip to Tumut, as there were a lot of roadside caches to pick up along the way.
A nice sunny day, with very little cloud which made the views spectacular.
Cache was found quickly, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, ozpirate, for us and others to find.

I made a fleeting visit to Tumut many years ago but with so many more caches in the area it was well worth to spend a whole day here this time, another good find at this one.

Pulled over here yesterday in the pouring rain and they was a muggle parked close by. Back again today in the sunshine and GZ was muggle free ! SL TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1135. A nice quick one as we head slowly home after a few days with lots of caching in beautiful areas. Our thanks to ozpirate.
