Searched high and low and all around today with geofamily, prodded and poked, scoured all that we thought possible without success. Second time visit for me as ran out of time previously. Nice to get out into the sunshine though, and a great place for a stroll. Thanks anyway, will give this one another go once I get a bit more geo savvy!
Cursory look as I had the Mighty Dingowith me. Butstill havea feeking it may bebfit from a check. Great location forawalk all the same. TFTH.
Found 6:32 PM. In the neighborhood I thought I would drop in and do this cache. Nice area. I am surprised at the number of joggers around in.the cold wind. The cache was rather rudimentary. TTTC
2089. After a bit of searching, this one was discovered while in the area looking for other geoinformation. No muggles here this morning. Must be too cold.
Thanks JustinCBR for the cache.
Thanks JustinCBR for the cache.
A bit of afternoon caching after some chores in the sunny aftermath of much needed rain. There used to be a puzzle GZ VERY near here. So near that you would have been unable to place a cache ANYWHERE near this structure.
Found fairly easily one I was at the right height.
Thanks Justin.

Just having a break from a talkfest in the National Gallery and decided to look for this one. Found after a bit of a search up and down and all around! TFTC JustinCBR.
Second time lucky on this one..
Previously thwarted by a bridal party in full photographic action...
Today after a few pokes and prods came up with the goods.

P366 aspirations for 2013 died this week. This would be my only find whilst here in Canberra on tour with my grade 6s. A really neat place to visit. I can't count how many times I've stood somewhere along the Capital Hill to Mount Ainslie line. Thanks for the cache JustinCBR.

Decided to drive home a different way and collect some caches.
Easy find, thanks.
Easy find, thanks.
Quick find after watching the mdc walk. Great hide. Very few decent caches on the city area. Gets a fav. Tftc
Secret Squirrel and I enjoyed tracking this one down. First this side, then that side then....hmm, that looks a bit suss. TFTC

I looked at GZ from various angles and there were lots of kids around. I managed to bark my knuckles trying to move the wrong thing, ouch! The architecture was unharmed though! Suddenly the place seemed deserted just when I saw something not quite right. Wow, nice observation JustinCBR and TFTC
A nice little spot and sure was a lot busier than I expected it to be! The right height was soon sussed out and after looking in one place something caught my eye and there was the cache. Thanks!
Oh disappointed for me for not find the cache because my GPS directed me everywhere even I got it on GZ but I wasn't sure this or up there or down there for half an hour then I gave it up. Will have to come back here one day soon.
Walking by after a lake cruise and noticed someone filling out what looked like a cache log book! Thanks Creeper84 for letting us know there was a cache to be found!
Forgot to log this at the time, couldn't find, although thought I had, but it was wedged. Good to see it is back in operation... next questacon day trip will see us return.

Well, my eyes weren't the right ones today. I spent quite some time - on both levels - but couldn't find it.
You know it's been a hard couple of weeks when you plug in the GPS to upload the field notes and find a few caches in the list from earlier in the month. Did a big walk from Braddon to Manuka the other week with Doppelfrog and came back in this direction. DF had previously DNF'd this one and with muggles a plenty I can see it woudl be hard. Luckily there were not many about today so once we decided whether we should be up or down the find was made quickly. Now home James and don't spare the horses... oh yea that's right, you're not James and we don't have a horse.
Came back with a second pair of eyes, which made all the difference this time.

This was an interesting location and but surprisingly few people about. A neat hide . TFTC.
******* 400! *********
This chasm seems like a good as place as any to reach this milestone further getting rid of my Bermuda (parliamentary) hoodoo.
A little muggily on the day but with good timing you can retrieve it quickly, sign it down by the lake and put it back later.
400 is small bickies to really serious cachers but I'm pretty pleased to reach this milestone.

Fairly quick find even though our GPS pointed to the opposite side. Geowife ventured down the easy way and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC JustinCBR
So busy today. We took out time and waited for a gap in traffic, including Segways! Nice hide... and thanks!
Came by after work this afternoon on a bright sunny day. I couldn't believe my luck, there was absolutely no one around! I had prepared a number of stealth moves in my mind, but they weren't required today! I looked around for a while and then I spotted it. Oh that will be it, I thought, and sure enough it was.
In the words of Jimmy Barnes, "That was a classic!" a bold hide in a bold location, just what our game is all about, loved it!
Thanks JustinCBR, a favourite point from me.

Sunday 24 March 2013 - a superb late autumn afternoon solo walk around Lake Burley Griffin in brilliant sunshine without a cloud in the sky and with perfect temperature in the low 20s. Sadly without my p2p on this occasion but survived never the less. Tricky hide. TFTC
Had to drop the car off early for a service so we decided to grab a few caches on the way back to work.
A quick grab between passing muggles after braving the cliff face.
Thanks for the cache JustinCBR

TFTC and thank you for the great location. Caches like this make it a worthwhile activity.
Sneaky hide, however that is were I was expecting it for some reason! Was lucky to have the place for myself for a few minutes. Just as I was finished the placed got overwhelmed by segways!

I had been meaning to walk over from work and get this one but hadn't got around to it as yet. Tonight I was taking So to a Cub walk with DRT and we arrived earlier enough to wander over and grab this one.
DRT spotted a likely spot and So went and checked it out and came up with a quick find. Great hide JustinCBR - TFTC

Busy today with Canberra 100 celebrations but with a pretend shoe emergency occurring we were covered from muggle suspicions. Only just replaced before a wedding party arrived for photographs.
I was at the Enlighten festival ... Came to participate in the box war, then hung around because it was fun people watching and looking at the stuff in Questacon and the library ... Went and snaffled a pesky cache that I had not found last time I was in the area (one next to Questacon) ... Kind of interesting that I was able to find, sign and return it totally un noticed among the muggle crowds, when I was wearing a bright green t shirt and matching wig!
Was about to head home but decided to join the smattering of ppl who were wandering around taking photos of the lighted up buildings ... Then I remembered that this cache was here, but was temporarily out of action when I was last here.
So, after wandering to the National gallery and back, and filling up most of the memory on my phone with photos of the lights/etc (and using up most of the battery power) I came back this way and I wandered down the tunnel ... Found the location still stored in the GPS app I have on my iPhone while I was wandering along ... Looked at a spot and thought "nah, it wouldn't be there" and headed to the other level ... Where my GPS app still couldn't really work out where it was (most of the time it is fine, and gets me spot on to GZ, but there are some places that seem to do really weird things to the GPS and this seems to be one of them) ... Looked in all the likely (unlikely?) cracks and decided that maybe it was not there after all ... Went back where I had been, worked out roughly where the "show on map" part of the gps app said it was - and, lo and behold, I found it! - in the exact spot I had walked past and looked right at, but thought it wouldn't be! LOL
TNLN (was only a red plastic jewel in there and I didn't have anything on me anyway) and 3 TBs waved hello from over the road in my car - lol)

Found with AcornAnie after a visit to the Portrait Gallery. Much easier to avoid suspicion of muggles with 2 people (and a camera). Nice hide. TFTC

Can't quite remember the occasion, but the tunnel was empty for enough time to find, log, and replace. Could even hide it properly.
Attended most of the 100th birthday events. Yay.

I get up early on a Sunday morning to go rowing, but it was called off this morning due to windy conditions, so a friend and went for a walk instead. By chance I had my gps with me, making a perfect opportunity to knock this one off after so long. A cool hide, on the level we looked first! Thanks JustinCBR.
Found late afternoon after a day out and about working in Canberra and before turning for home. Took a few approaches before the little bugger was located. I dipped 2 TB's through for milage as well. Many thanks JustinCBR
A little tricky this one. Luckily I approached from the right spot (eventually) and so no cliffs needed to be scaled. TFTC!
Found this morning on the two bridges run.
A quick find, with no muggles close by.

I have been waiting for a quiet morning to come along here. Then there was a gap while it was off line. I am glad I had the place to myself today as there were plenty of spots to look at and test before I found the right one. I was happy to see the GZ at zero for this one, and then it was all done. Thanks.

Today we had kind of a laid back program: a visit to Parliament House and a walk around Lake Burley Griffin, some caches were to be sought as well, that goes without saying.
When we got up it was nice and sunny, but as time went by clouds moved in and around 3:30pm we had to take refuge inside The Deck, because of the rain. It was time for a coffee anyway...

Love it when, after a long walk and multiple geocaches, the last one comes really easily. I spotted it from about 10 metres away, signed it and was on my way within 30 seconds. It so rarely happens like this....
Retrieval was easy replacement was more difficult due to a sudden influx of muggles. Got it back in the end though. TFTC!
Despite the phone call with a lunch summons we found a parking spot and searched for this til it was spotted and logged.
The segways flashed past and there were no muggles! The opportunity was too good to miss. A quick recording for this busy area was completed.
6093 + 763 = 6856. Found during a wide ranging run around Canberra avoiding the Park closures caused by the Total Fire Ban.
Parked at Questacon and wandered over. The heat must have been keeping the muggles at Bay as I found signed and returned the cache without a single one of them showing up. Happy with that !! Thanks JustinCBR !
TNLN - TFTC !!

GPS had me one side, but cache was found on the other....all of 2 metres away. Love it when you don't need to look very far......
Was worried about muggles, but in the five minutes I was there....all was good. Weekends may be a different story.
Thanks for a cache in one of the great spots in Canberra.....

Neat hide. Quick find while taking the Jr Cachehunters to Questacon.
We also found a huge praying mantis near GZ.

Wasn't so sure that I was supposed to be looking where I looked! But I found it. Was almost muggled as a women walked towards me out of nowhere....but she seem too hot and tired to give me a second glance! TFTC x
Took the kids to Questacon today and noticed this newish one nearby so headed over for a near-instant find, phew! Didn't have a pen on me so took a photo of log/container/GPS if needed. Nice work on this hide.
GPS initially didn't like this area but persistence prevailed, very crafty place to hide, tftc
Quick find amongst the muggles, had to wait till they cleared and then sat down for a rest and disguised the find. TFTC. Ps. Didn't sign log as didn't have a pen.
Found on a nice morning around Parkes. We were a little stumped to where abouts the cache was, but after a bit of looking around, the cache was uncovered. Nice hide, never thought it would be there. The container lid is slightly broken, but the log is still pretty good. Great area with fantastic sights. TFTC JustinCBR, good to see you back in Canberra!
Abseiling equipment not necessary! I knew this area reasonably well having spent a week around here at the Australian Dragon Boat Championships last year (pre caching times...). It was fairly quiet around GZ today and we found the cache pretty quickly. We then spent a bit of time taking photos as there are good views around here and playing with the echoes you can make around GZ. Good fun!
Awesome echoes- we had a bit of fun banging about and making noise here. Oh and we found the cache hidden away!!!!
Grabbed a few caches while I had the opportunity to while interstate. My brother brought me out here as he is just starting to get into caching - so thanks for the cache!
Found with GrimRaider on a geocache hunt in the Parliamentary Triangle after dropping a mate off at the Boat House for a wedding. I have walked passed Reconcilation Place quite a few times but never stopped to have a proper look. No trouble finding this one TFTC JustinCBR
Yep, I turned the cache listing into instructions ... I went uphill, downhill, round, across ... but happily didn't have to abseil.
But finally, made the find.
A top hide and a top location - I snapped away in both directions.
