TFTC,
It is a shame you have had to archive this cache which is in place and in good condition. Nana nel even added a new log sheet and because we downloaded to our GPS's before leaving home 4 weeks ago, we didn't know until logging.
Visited after leaving the Townsville MEGA to complete caching in this LGA.

Surprised to see this cache archive, we had this cache on our GPS's, I found the container as the logs were full, I added a new log. Stamped log and replace. It's a shame that others will not have the opportunity to find it. Thanks to CO.
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 11122.
Out towards Ayr today to tick off another LGA this one was a quick find. A nice spot to sit and think away the world!
Thanks HDSpringer for the cache.

5/4/21 Found it. Travelling back to Mackay and grabbing some caches on the way. TFTC SL
My first ever geocache. So much fun. Wasn't sure what the little "i" was so I let it there for someone who does know.
Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, HDSpringer.

Day 21 and the start of our return road trip home from Townsville to the Gold Coast with hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and RoddyC.
Nice and dry here so we have obviously beaten the wet season, good quick find, thanks CO.

Got out of the house yesterday and found ourselves exploring the Burdekin area. After roaming around Ayr and Home Hill we headed home... It's caches like these that I love - would never have known this was here among the cane fields if not for the green dot on my page. Brilliant. Thanks for bringing us and our attention here HDSpringer, fp added.
Tftc HDSpringer, saw a few swans, some magpie geese on the water. Found cache, signed log.
Heading to Bowen for a caching weekend, had to stop at the crossing for a cane train and saw this one. Quick easy find, signed log whilst watching a black neck stork.
Found with orth71 on a trip to Bowen.
Looked out and noticed a pair of black necked storks.
Lovely spot.

Searched unsuccessfully today - someone has vomited in the bird hide and the smell made anything more than a quick search impossible.
Beautiful area, will be back to find the cache and will be bringing some binoculars to get in some bird watching next time too

Nice hide, great place to sit and watch the numerous birds out on the water. TFTC HDSpringer
Took a little while to find but in the end it was where we thought it would be, just needed a flash light to take a good look. Lovely spot! TFTC
Nice unexpected hide! Lots of swans and pelicans today. Nice place in the middle of the cane fields. Thanks for the cache.
My son chose this cache. It is usually me who picks the caches and begs the family if we can go there, but this time it was my son OJ choosing/showing interest, so for that reason alone, we decided to go. And this is precisely why I love geocaching because if not for the cache, we would never have left the highway, never known about the lagoon or the bird hide. TFTC.
Obviously HIDE ha ha. We had planned a leisurely day driving Townsville to Bowen, with lots of time for caching along the way. This was our first of the day. There were lots of black swans on the lagoon today and a good number of cygnets with their parents. Magpie geese were also present in fewer numbers. T4T$
TFTC Visited Ayr from Townsville today & found this cache on the way home. Found in the 1st place I looked
Signed Log & put all previous logs in a new plastic baggie with a fresh new log strip for the next geocachers to sign... Took SWAG, left SWAG & RAF. Great GZ I didn’t know existed. Thanks for bringing me & my geo-munchkins here.

Previous cryptic log helped! Took way too long because I was hesitant about putting my fingers where I couldn’t see them.
While staying in Townsville for a few days we decided to have a drive south to Bowling Green Bay National Park....fascinating name that....maybe it was named for the very flat beach which stretches almost a kilometre when the tide is out??
After our visit to the park we continued south a little further and stopped by to grab this one. Plenty of water in the lagoon but not many birds to see today....I guess they have too many choices of water laying about the place after the January floods
Many thanks for the hide HDSpringer

Away for work and had a decision to make, spend the evening on the pc, or go out Ad do some local treasure hunting? Hmmmm. It’s been 15 years since I was last here as a backpacker on my initial arrival to Aus, so some fond memories of the area and good times spend. A large variety of hides today, mainly drivebys and short walks but a pleasant way to see the sites and get some fresh air. Thanks to all the CO’s for all their effort. Thanks for the fun.
On our way home from a day of geo caching in Ravenswood we stopped to have a quick look around as there was a beautiful cane fire over the lagoon worth watching and see if we could find our last cache for the day. It was on dusk and the darkness setting in quick. It took a bit of searching around in the darkness with a dim phone torch but we eventually found it. TFTC. .
Loved this one. Such a tranquil spot, only 2 km detour from the highway. So worth it! Saw lots of ducks, black swans and other water birds.
Easy find and great location, especially with a mini cacher asleep in the car! With Rowey80 - First ones to find cache in 2018. Cache is in good condition TFTC.
What a beautiful little place to stop while waiting for the cane train. First place I looked... which doesn't happen often. Found with GeoPeacock. TFTC
The great Aussie road trip! Well kind of, from Townsville to Airlie Beach! This was one that we found on the way.
Quite the hide this one. Enjoyed the wildlife perspective, thank you.
A straightforward find, cache in order; log signed, cache then re-hidden safely, just as found.
I visited here with teamcacher zboywonder.
TFTC with greetings from NZ

Thanks for making us explore this area more. While here my partner was able to fly his drone over the lagoon for a better look, amazing!

After a very memorable night camping out in Bowliing Green NP,
where I had to reposition the geomobile at 1:00am in the morning,
some 400 metres away,
so I didn't have to wait a week to drive it out of me campsite this morning,
I headed off in the soaking rains to see how many caches I could find
First problem with all the rain is that it shouldn't be happening [:o]
It is not the wet season !!
Second problem with all the rain was that,
the road to GZ was underwater
Only two or three inches !!
But enough to make for an entertaining detour off the highway early this morning
So at the bright and early hour of 7am I found shelter from the rain in the hide.
Hmmm !! I should have camped here last night
A lot drier !!
And as usual,
no birds were hiding here.
They were all hiding out on the lake that I could see from the bird hide
All two of them
Must be wrong time of year to see flocks of Magpie Geese, Spoonbills, Jacanas, etc !!
I did seen an egret or two
One a great and the other an intermediate.
I do like the info signs in the shelter,
they are badly mispelt,
butt make good reeding
TFTC in an obvious place [^]
Gotta give it a fave point !!

To find or not to find, zooming down the Bruce Highway this one caught my interest. Time to stretch the legs, oh yes location is right, might just have to spend a little time bird watching and have a cuppa as well then
Good hint in a previous log. Thanks.
Wet day on our way home from Palm Creek Music festival. Swans and geese martins.

Didn't find it after looking all over the place, it shouldn't take so long to find it, just gave up in the end.
A quick detour off the highway in the way back to Townsville. what a great spot. TFTC. a cryptic log helped me find it.
After a horror day in the ville yesterday (geocaching) nice to get a find on first stop TFTC

We were looking around the area but as the previous one, we could not find it either.

Quick easy find at 1000. Mrs1sr was happy with bird watching while I found the cache
Awesome spot! In Laws live down the road so Ive driven past it so many times oblivious to it before I got into caching lol Didn't take too long to find Pink writing stick left by someone but not the best colour to write with. Nothing taken but left an Australian 5 cent piece. Thanks for the Cache!
