Logs
Had a bit of a scout, but the grass was super long and the trees overgrown with vegetation.
Couldn’t find this one. I searched for quite a while, but everything was too overgrown.
I too couldn't find the cache, the bush has taken over .. Cache needs to be checked.
Area really overgrown and not found in a cursory search - will try again another day!
A small container in Fern Grove - geo damage everywhere. I AM NOT ADDING TO THE DAMAGE.
Out with some first timers to enjoy a beautiful Sunday morning. We were distracted any the nearby structure until the previous logs revealed that it is not on the structure. Found right at the posted coordinates. Gets a favourite point. TFTC.
A tricky one - we did a bit of unneeded traipsing through the bush but worth the find.
Late this afternoon, a plan to head farther afield wasn't viable, so instead, I met up with oz_bean_counter for a little bit of rabbit hunting. It's been years since I last found any, and I do have some left. More walking, just what I need after a huge morning of ocean clean-up! But also, best we keep moving as we're burning daylight. Indeed, as we got to this geocache it was after sunset.
OBC had highlighted that this geocache had a healthy number of favourite points - so it does! We headed in, and thinking we knew better, started looking. I quipped maybe we should actually consult a phone. I did and we were about a dozen metres away. I went there and found something just out of place. A little investigation and OBC joined me.
The 'install' of this is a bit dubious, but I can also understand why it's received so much love. I was given the job of accessing the logbook and it was commented it's similar to an annoying waypoint I made much more recently. After a minute, the logbook was being signed and could all be replaced as found. No muggles (despite previous sightings just here earlier) were around to get in our way. Thanks for this geocache, TMRabbit

Excellent cache. Very creative. The top cover has split into a two pieces. Doesn't really impact the cache security though. Thanks for placing this,
WOW... what a difference six years makes... the terrain has changed so dramatically... that water tank wasn’t here for starters... I certainly couldn’t just walk up to the cache...

Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with Mansfield parkrun followed by a nearby breakfast. With a recent solo visit to Mount Gravatt lookout, we finished out the morning to see the views from there before proceeding home.
In the afternoon, we headed out to Westfield Garden City, and I then headed east to Rochedale followed by Burbank bushland to walk around the Rabbit / Creepy Rabbit series.
I spotted this cluster of "Rabbit" series earlier today, and thought it would make a good adventure and jog around. I followed the geocaches' instructions to park on Alperton Road (I ended up accessing the area near the corner of Leacroft Road), and all up, I managed to complete the series cluster in just under two hours. My only problem was leaving my walking/jogging until arriving at about 17:00 hr, and so it started to get quite dark by the end of my visit. I had brought with me limited supplies, which meant I was relying on my mobile phone's torch towards the end, and managed to just get me back to the car with finding the caches with 1% battery left! Otherwise, it was a really nice area to visit with the creek/water, and a few wallabies spotted hopping in the forest. Unfortunately, with water comes mosquitoes and cane toads, and so a few of those were spotted. The caches were largely quite creative, and all up, a recommended area to visit!
I continued my jog through the area, stopping off at this geocache. This took quite a while to find, as there appeared to be a myriad of possible hiding spots, as well as reports from previous logs of inaccurate / 10 m away coordinates. Eventually after reviewing a few more past logs and photos, I realised what I was looking for, and so made the cache find. What awesome cache construction, and easily worthy of a Favourite Point! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Note that I couldn't spot the previous finder's name in the logbook, but perhaps that piece of paper had separated from the logbook? Odd. Thanks TMRabbit for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Arriving at the water tank in pouring rain, we paused for a break and a lolly each. Only less than 20 metres to What's up Doc, so we ventured out from our shelter and found a familiar looking object which housed the cache. Another easy puzzle to solve, then back to the shelter to write in the log. About her (did I mention the rain?) Mrs George and George independently decided we had done enough for the morning given the rain. (I did mention rain, didn't I?)
We decided that the "Elmer Flood" cache on the way back to Alperton st would be a good finish. TFTC TMRabbit.

Early morning walk with GrannySmith 1947 in the Koala Bushlands.
Nice quick find.
It is sad to see this cache is now out in the open. The council have added a water tank to the area and cleared the area.
We managed to speak to a couple of workers in the area and they were going to see of they could add some natural camouflage to the cache site

Did these ages ago and forgot to post the drafts. Off to finish the rabbits off after a years break.
You have amazing creativity! I walked around and round in circles for quite some time, but that’s my problem, because I rely on a shitty iPhone GPS. That’s not really a complaint, because this is an absolutely stunning place to spend some time in. Take another favourite point.
Wow!
My GPS was ~10 metres out here and the cache name hand me looking in the wrong direction.
A quick reset after reading previous logs (thank you!) and it was a quick find.
Geokids will love this one!

What an awesome hiding spot! Unfortunately our pen died and no amount of effort would get the ink out. TYFTF
A great one for the kids to figure out how to get the cache out. Fun for the whole family.
TMRabbit I found your cache Whats up Doc on 1/7/20, 11:25 am. This is my find 2588 and find # 8 today. With lost _gecko. Very nicely done. Great effort in these hides. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

Headed off early this morning to tackle this dense little patch of caches. Lovely morning for a cache hunt.

After our nice walk yesterday finding caches nearby my husband and I decided to come back again today. Today we only walked 6km in 2 hours. Only saw 1 person in this track today. Such a beautiful spot. Thankyou for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy . At gz we walked around and around in circles until I spotted this cache. What a great cache. Definitely deserves a FP. Thanks for the effort to make this cache
Found quickly on today's tour around this area.

Found it after spending way too long at the log. We spread our search and Ben found it quickly. Love the hide and the puzzle - sooooo much effort.
Chamad was telling me the other day that he was wanting to try and do 50 caches in a day for the badge, so yesterday I asked if he was keen to go out and find them. We organised a time and place to start our run which was by Burbank. We wandered around a few reserves and then decided to head towards Springwood for a few Earth caches, mystery’s and trads.
All in all we had a great day out and we’re both completely exhausted.
Sorry for the generic post.

What an awesome day or should that be exhausting! Out with geonayfee to try and complete 50 plus caches in a day. With this cache we completed it.
We completed 2 series and a few target caches, a few earth caches and a couple of puzzles…. Awesome day and a lot of driving and walking but the challenge was completed, thank you for being part of our challenge, next is 80 in a day
Loved this series, a nice range of different types of caches and a surprise at each cache, thanks

A lot of work has gone into this one, and what a great cache it is! Ziplock bag very ripped and I didn’t have any spare. TFTC!
It is honestly so beautiful out here. It's magical. And what a cache! Thanks so much at first I was like what. Then I was like ahh! X.
Out and about chasing down FPs for the carnival souvenirs. Found a few high value FP caches around the area and well constructed caches they were. Approaching the clearing had to ensure the shed was in the public domain before walking up and immediately spotting the hide. Another good hide TMRabbit, thanks for maintaining this series of caches.
Had big day today chasing caches from one end of Brisbane to the other. Had lots of fun. TFTC TMRabbit #743 D14
Another very creative cache. Enjoying these challenges.
Altho’ we didn’t see anyone else in the park this morning we were the second visitors to sign the logs today at some of the caches.
Thanks heaps for another beaut cache.

Out with the MB to collect some finds to boost my Feb stats this morning.
Was not first to the parking but still early.
The rangers have been busy planting trees in the area.
A hide well worth a Fav Point
Thank you for hiding this geocache

Back for another afternoon of wandering around this area to see how many caches I can find before the sun goes down...This was the first....A very well constructed cache and a great setting that seems somewhat out of place...TFTC!
Haha nice work on this one. Managed to work it out of the looooong tunnel. This is a pleasant little clearing and that's a massive fallen old tree wow,!!! I would be interested to walk up further one-day and check out that nice green clearing.(very green after the rain we have had) did not catch Kermit singing rainbow connection in the creek. Tftc TMRabbit
On our first walk past this cache a horse pulled up and we had to pass on by. There was a rider on the horse but he was forgettable next to that magic steed.
We found a couple more caches before returning when the coast was clear. The place resembled a war zone but previous logs spurred me on like a race horse being kicked with stirrups. Personally I think stirrups should be a cuss word and I am going to use it in the future.
From closer to the waters edge I could see the cache but wangling it out took a while. It got me to thinking where I could use the word wangling - the bedroom seemed most appropriate. tftc

Out for the day collecting some more numbers to try to get my World Turtle souvenir. Apologies for the copy/paste logs, after skiving off my studies to find the caches I really don't have as much time as I'd like for writing logs.
I do have time to give this one a well deserved favourite point though.

I walked straight to this one as I had found it a week ago but my arthritic hands could not open.
Today was a different story, made sure I had my weeties
Loved the inner surprise... Ingenious! No wonder What's up Doc had so many favourite points. Here's another from me.
Thanks for The Cache TMRabbit.

Followed the right trail this time, but overshot GZ by 17m. Previous logs helped narrow down the search. Very interesting engineering to retrieve the actual cache. Thanks for all the hard work to make it interesting.
We took the opportunity with the break in the rainy weather to grab some caches today and enjoy a walk in this lovely bushland. After lunch we parked the car beside the entry gate and headed down the track towards Woody Rabbit. The area has suffered some flooding and there is a lot of tree debris. We were a little bit concerned that this cache may be damaged or missing but when we found it we realised that the time and effort put into the cache has protected it from the elements and also made it an interesting cache to find. Loving this series. TFTC TMRabbit
Here for this DT rating as it fills a gap for us... while here we grabbed a few others nearby. When we arrived at GZ we both let out an "uh oh" as the tree carnage all around had us convinced that we were unlikely to get this one, but in the end we made a pretty quick find. Thanks for this cool little hide. FP from us.
Thought we would collect a few caches whilst in the area on the last day of the year. On approaching GZ we thought the prize might be gone due to all the recent clearing but no, it's still intact. Wow, what a find here, really loved it and a favorite point from me.

We had a great day collecting caches in the Burbank area today. This was our 30th cache for the day.
The gz was cleared. Wondered whether a T3 would still be here. Sure enough it was.
Love your work here. No wonder it has a lot of FP. We're adding some more.

Great cache and it is indeed a miracle that it survived at all. It now stands in the middle of a cleared area but still good.
We cleared up the geolitter so there's no plastic to guide you now, but the mound is fairly obvious! Cool cache. TFTC

Well, like the rest of the cachers I thought it was gone but I quickly noticed something not normal and was pleased to see it survived. TM must stand for totally masterful as the effort to make it was awesome. Standing ovation Mr rabbit if I have a fav point it's yours
Back over to the southside with nikid1 this week for our regular geocaching Thursday.
I loved this cache & it definitely deserves a favourite point! I haven't seen one like it before & it's very clever. I'm pleased it has so far survived, almost intact, whatever the reason they seem to be clearing this area for. Hopefully it will remain for a long time for fellow geocachers to find & enjoy.

Hearts sunk on arrival due to all the clearing but after reading the previous log we thought we were in with a chance. After some circle work I spied something which turns out to be part of the cache broken off. Then the cache was found.
Then a bit of fun to extract the log.
What a fabulous cache but I’m not sure the land that is on will be here much longer.

You know they only give people so many favourite points, don't you TMRabbit?
Pprime and I arrived at this one and our various devices would not settle down. They finally did - but we were in a middle of a tree warzone. Oh dear. This might be sad news.
We compared the photo Deafcat put up to what we could see now. Someone has been here since then and caused more drama. We though we were out of luck.
Then I noticed some broken plastic and followed my nose to something interesting. Goodness, throughout the devastation the cache itself has survived. We went through the motions of getting to the container and we were soon signing the log. This one might need checking out - part of the camouflage is damaged... and it's also in imminent danger of being destroyed if works continue near GZ.
But a favourite for the hard work here. Thanks for the smile, TMRabbit. TFTC

After a week of wet, time to hit the bush trails and hunt some rabbits. I joined Fangsoki who had been out for a while already and we jointly tracked down a few here. We were unsure what to look for here as GZ has been massively cleared in recent times. We wondered in circles for a bit until we spotted our quarry - somewhat damaged, but still serviceable.

Wow love it. Deafpwee is with me and told me the area used to be thick bush and now all the trees has been chopped down
Another sensational cache. This raises the bar in cave making. Really awesome effort. I fear for this caches life in the future as there was mass excavation surrounding the cache. Thanks heaps for an awesome cache.
This is another great cache, and a favourite point from me. However I am concerned for its safety as it appears chain saws and bulldozers have been active in the area. Saw dust looked fresh and no weathering to the cut timber. There was some damage to the cache covering. I still enjoyed the challenge, thanks.
Found it! What a mission. Lots of possible options. Cache rem8val was fun as well. Tftc
This one took us far too long to find. We found a way into GZ, but I suspect after earlier rains and flooding this year, that the growth has been fast of all the trees in this area that are close to the creek.
Finally we saw what was needed...how had we missed that??
The log was signed and we were soon on our way.
Thank TMRabbit,

With my holidays nearing an end, one last date was set to travel southside before having to rejoin the working class. The plan was to eradicate some rabbits and rats, collect some solved puzzles, and grab any others along the way. Grabbed everyone's favourite cartoon rabbit on the way through. It took quite a bit if searching in the scrub before locating a familiar object. Nice field puzzle, FP awarded.
