Had to come to Sydney today to pick up a purchase so we decided to explore and grab a few caches. This was a quick find despite a terrifying walk through waist deep grass. It was only 100m so thankfully over pretty quickly. Hopefully the council buys some lawn mowers so this cache gets some more visitors. TFTC

29/5/16. 4:13 PM. Cache #3884.
1st of 5 this afternoon in Bligh Park.

Parked on Colonial Drv only 50m or so from the cache and tried to find as much of a short-grass route, but occasionally had to put up with some of the thicker stuff. Not too worried about snakes in this cooler weather.

From the hint, I tried two or three before getting the right one and finding a cache. A little tricky to open, but got there in the end. Signed, replaced and then headed straight for the path back to the car. Next stop "Memories". TFTC.

Tftc. Quite a bit of bush bashing for this one but found it in the end. No pen to write in log though...

Haven't had a day recently when I've grabbed more than 2 or 3 caches, so thought I'd head west and pick up a decent swag today.
By the time I headed home - hoping to beat the storm - I'd bagged 8 but with a few DNFs thrown in.

Didn't quite beat it, though - got caught about 10 minutes from home.

Well, as a recent finder said, there is a lot of long grass to get through to make your way to GZ. Sort of found a way out than only meant 10 metres of so of nasty territory, but after a previous find today I was taking no chances.

Back at the cache - immediate find once at GZ. Had difficulty removing a log - there seem to be a few in there. Left it, hopefully, easier for the next finder to extract.

Easy one

Had an ulterior motive offering to drive mum to visit her sister at Bligh Park today as not only did I need to tick a day off the calendar, I had been running out of enough finds close to home to reach a tally goal. This was the last of 22 for the day and less than 400m from my aunt’s house. Hint mentions “not in long grass” but you certainly need to wade through a lot of it to get to GZ… unless there was a geotrail somewhere I couldn’t locate. Considering the scrub and heat of the day, was glad I didn’t meet any nasties that could have meant RIP mizmaz. Easy find once I got to the obvious spot but tricky to get out of camo.

Found on the last days of a special stay in Australia.

#317 - Looking 4 Cache iPad App

This was the only find for today. I was able to park near the cache location and although the hint said about not looking where there was overgrown grass, it was difficult to make a path given the grass was past my knees. Nevertheless, some areas were flattened down to make it a little easier. After reaching about 3m to GZ, I started looking around and noticed the came so I then had CIH. I just managed to sign the log but the pen scored the paper rather than leaving ink as the log is soaked. TFTC.

Dropped by for a quick cache. Hint was spot on and had the cache container soon after arrival. Extracting the container proved more difficult, and used the COs advise re stick for extraction. Unfortunately the contents are now mush and no log now exists so unable to sign. Replaced container and covered with the camo. TFTC goatwebs

The grass is very long here but was fun for my little ones. Log is completely wet though

Headed here straight after "fetch rover". Waist high grass, filled my shoes with small seeds and once I found the right one, CIH was quickly made. TFTC

Found easily. Obviously a long time since CO has checked this. Long grass everywhere real snake terrain! Without giving a thin away, the log is in the long container and even pushing hard through bottom of Kong you can't get the lid off to sign the log!

Found it!! But the grass was long and we left the pen in the car, we didnt want to walk through the long grass to the car and then back so didnt SL but we got it! Tftc (:

I went looking for it yesterday but unfortunately I could not find it. I was hoping it had not been burned in the fire that went through there a few months back, but I see that it has been found since. I'll keep looking!

Picked up a good stick and beat my way to GZ, (scaring off any long brown things), then found a much less grassy way out! A standard pen is good enough to get the container out. TFTC.

We found a variety of caches, some very frustrating & others a little easier.
We went from churches, railroads & neighbour hood suburbs.

After a great deal of arguing about paths and no paths I finally won out against Geo man and found it quite nicely TFTC cute container
