TftcFinished the puzzle a few weeks ago. It took me a bit to find the cache today. I was just about to give up when I saw the cache. I swear I had looked it that spot. Onto the next cache.
Up from Sydney for casual geocaching in the Mid North Coast and staying a few days in Port Macquarie. Solved this fun little puzzle and learned about Mr Luhrmans beginnings here but didnt stop on the way up because we werent sure how to get out once we pulled in. Today we poked around a bit then found a good sized container with log dry. Found our way back out heading south then using a u-turn bay 500m down the road. SL TFTC Cheers Gaztek
In anticipation of an impending geocaching trip to the Mid North Coast from Sydney , we solved this fun puzzle today. Be there soon. Cheers... Gaztek
Found with nissan65 on a days caching trip. Log dry but container was full of water. . Thankyou for your contribution to geo caching
Locating this took some time. I guess it all depends on where exactly you enter the area. There are so many hiding spots. We did end up at the correct one and found the cache safe and sound. Thanks GCookie for the puzzle and the cache which we found on our journey home. Cheers and happy caching!
Found with Portstevo in the rain on our way to parkrun in Harrington! Tftc, so many logs
Nice easy solve last night to pick this one up on our way home today. Container was a little wet but log was safely dry inside. TFTC
Yep, needing some love and attention. Will return and check for a new formula.
My husband and i are staying at Tuncurry for a week from Brisbane and i solved this puzzle in anticipation. With the cache unloved for so long i my hopes of finding it were low. We checked here and there and there then here and i think it was almost the last place we looked when we spotted it. The cache was full of water and the log book was sodden so we dried it out and put a tube inside that has some tradie water proof paper in it so hope this will keep it safe. The swaps were in pretty good condition so we dried them out aswell and put them all in the original cache. Very happy to find this poor unloved cache. Thank you for all the fun
I must’ve driven past this 150 times after I solved it so good to finally catch this one today. The log is damp but okay at this point I added a piece of cardboard with my name on it which is blank and will serve as a log as well I think I looked under every other piece of structure in the area before I found it so pretty glad to get it in the end.
Spending the day out caching with the Prassinos. This was our first stop of the day. Logbook is soaked and we didn’t have a replacement with us. Have etched my name into the wet paper. TFTC
After doing the nearby caches we crossed the highway to go and look for this one, along with ilook4geo. The puzzle had been easily solved but when we found the the container it was about 90% full of water. Everything was swimming and the log book, even though it was in a separate sealed plastic bag, was also swimming. It could not be signed properly but we managed to get a few indents into the very soggy paper.
This whole container and all contents need to be either dried or replaced.
Thanks go to GCookie for the puzzle and cache placement.

Came here with goingplaces2 and made a very wet find. This one needs urgent attention. Not possible to sign log properly. TFTC.

We were on our way to a little camping event we were holding at Diamond Head, and with pretty slim pickings for caches in the area on the way, we overshot a touch and finished off the caches in the Herons Creek area.
I can't remember when I solved this one, but when we drive past here, we're usually on our way home and not usually stopping that much. Today we called in, warned the kids against testing out the (very close to the road) electric fences, and walked in for a very quick find.

We solve this puzzle a number of years ago when family first moved to the area. We have been past the turnoff many times, some with the van in tow (not even considered turning off) and others without. This time on our way home we decided that it was time to find this one, we also had a hole in our find calendar for today so this filled the hole. The cache was located quite quickly when approached from the right angle.
Thanks for the hide GCookie.

The puzzle was solved some time ago and today we had the opportunity to call in and collect the cache. Quite a track to GZ has developed over the years so finding the container was not difficult. Thanks GCookie for the puzzle and hide.
Like previous logger Stefanoodle, our GPS was showing we should be heading further into the bush. We came back as per the hint, and after searching various options we came up with the prize. Tftc!
On my home from the Queenbeyan mega, I decided to stop by this cache. I quickly solved the puzzle and was soon at GZ. When I arrived there, I realised that in my very early days of caching I had looked for this cache, unsuccessfully. Then, I was so new to puzlze solving that I thought I must have had the wrong answer. Today, I was sure my answer was correct, so had a look for it with more experienced eyes. I think I must have relied on my phone too much in the early days as I was searching further in than today. Today, the cache was located very quickly and my name added to the log. TFTC
Found with YGAT on our way to Port Macquarie for work. I enjoyed the puzzle.
The cache and its contents are in good order.
Nice idea, thanks GCookie.

Found with Mr MR who had solved the puzzle in preparation for our working trip to Port Macquarie. Thanks GCookie.
A little homework for preparation our HC visit, on GZ it was quick & easy [^]. Thanks for the Cache, redgecco
I'd solved this puzzle cache before our trip to Port Macquarie last December, but ended up leaving it for another time as we were running out of time getting home to Sydney on that occasion. Somehow, caching tends to take up more time than one thinks, and suddenly the day is almost gone.
Today I saw the cache pop up again on the map on the GPSr as we were heading south, and I thought I would try for a find this time around. We parked nearby, and then I surveyed the verge of the road. Hmmm, I was beginning to doubt my solved co-ords. It looked a bit dense there and the compass was saying it was about 22 metres in.
Deep breath, no other option but to enter and see what was there. Going by the hint, I saw a very likely place and soon had the cache in hand. The compass was still pointing further into the bush, at least another 12 metres or so. Perhaps the tree cover had something to do with that?
I dropped one of my signature small wire dogs into the container, and added my scrawl to the log sheet. Then everything went back as I had found it, and I could get back to the long journey ahead.

After being stuck indoors for much of yesterday thanks to the rain it was good to be able to get out into the fresh air today. I decided to head out to Heron's Creek today, lured by the cluster of DiMorgan caches there, but figured I'd get this one (which I'd solved long ago) before I crossed over and hit the Pioneer Trail. My GPS wasn't being altogether cooperative in the drizzly weather conditions I encountered here, but a well worn geotrail provided me with the 'best' entry point into the bush and then guided me to the spot.
Thanks for puzzle and the smiley GCookie.

Found in the company of Key_Tat and Viper_101. We solved this puzzle a while ago, but when we came to GZ, it looked a bit too 'snakey' for us to attempt during the warmer weather. With the icy change, and being in the area, we decided to give it a crack. Cache in good condition. TFTC
Found with Tatt2squared and Viper_101... Caching with the family is fun... Thanks for placing the cache and giving us a game to play together.. TFTC

It was about time we found this one after countless drives along the highway. We had worked it out ages ago but lost the final coords after an update. We had to work out the puzzle again in the car.
Off to the Big Axe now.

My Dad took me to watch a movie at the Heron Creek Chapel outdoor cinema tonight. As I have visit my parents by train, this gave me an opportunity to find a few geocaches. This was one of 12 in the area on my list and the last one to find.
We found 10 before the film. Due to rain and moving the movie indoors, we finished quite late so I found this at around 11pm. Also found a leech, but it found me first. Haha.
Thanks for the puzzle.

Well I can be pretty clueless at times but I think I outdid myself at some of this COs caches, especially in the getting to a couple of them. I had a LOT of help from him that morning, particularly getting the car out of a really nasty position, something for which I will be forever grateful for.
After extraction from my predicament, we went to the caches I had been trying to get to and after they had been done, I got this one out and with a nudge n a shove in the right direction from the CO I managed to gather my scattered wits enough to produce some satisfactory numbers.
I went and did some other caches on the way here and ended up finishing them on the wrong side of the highway. Luckily uncle google was being helpful and I got to where I should be and made the turn in. There was someone mowing his paddocks almost opposite GZ so had to wait till he was going in the opposite direction before setting off to make an easy find. Added my name to the log book and returned it to its hide and I got back to the car without drawing the attention of the guy on the mower. TFTC GCookie, all dry and tickety-boo here.

After a wet start to the day the afternoon fined up so off we went to get a few caches. This was one we targetted and found. Fav point alloc. Thanks to Grahame Cookie for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
We have travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Port Macquarie for our annual summer holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback camper trailer at the Breakwall (Sundowner) Holiday Park. Today we were off to Laurieton to visit the Sunday Markets and the North Brother Mountain Lookout, and collecting caches along the way. This was our 3rd find of the day, and 116th find of the holiday.
We had worked out the puzzle for this one before leaving home, and so decided to stop off on our way to Laurieton today to hopefully collect the prize. Arrived at GZ and started the search, but ended up going in a full circle before coming back to where we had started to eventually make the find. How on earth did we miss that on the first look? Anyway finally had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Grahame Cookie.

Stopped down this road after doing a bit of caching in herons creek on our way to dunbogan. Had solved this puzzle a while back. At GZ we were a bit hesitant to put our hands into the caches hidey hole as it is an ideal place for snakes to hide, but a quick find was had. Thanks for the cache.

Another beautiful day to be out and about looking for (and finding!) caches in the Port Macquarie region. A lovely area to explore, and for August we've had some phenomenal weather. Really enjoying everything about the place.
We're obviously slow learners. Despite having found a very similar puzzle last month it still took us a while to work out the technique to solve this one. Got there in the end. We were concerned that maybe we should have done this earlier in our journey but all was well.
A good sized cache and a nice hint after solving the puzzle.

Sorted out the puzzle after visiting yesterday. The alphabet, letters and numbers matching hurt my brain and after two attempts I got the green light. Headed off to GZ and spotted the hinted area straight away. A little exploring and we had our prize. Tftc. A favourite for a good puzzle that was not too hard for us to solve.
That took three people out at GZ to locate the cache. May have been on the wrong side. Then Rick had a great deal of fun laughing at his mum as she tried to get back over the log in thongs. Rick ended up grabbing this one for the team.

After finishing work i was headed home and saw this unfound mystery cache on my GPS. having solved it a while ago it was just a matter of stopping to find it. I pulled up and made my way over to the gz. there were a number of places it could have been finding but eventually i spotted a suspicious looking spot adn made the find. TFTC
We are not highly skilled in doing Mystery caches so when we do get one it is time for a small celebration. Oz supplied me with the coords and of we went. A quick search at ground zero gave up it's secrets. Thanks Cookie for a smiley. tnln sl Cheers Ozglory
On my way into port I thought I'd stop and get the cache- worked out the cords no probs, but the location of where the cache was hidden- I wasn't wearing the correct geo shoes- whoops... So as a result of wearing thongs I ended up with cuts and scratches on my feet- but oh well I found the cache- so that's all that matters TFTC Cookie
Had this one solved quite some time ago and was just waiting for the opportunity to go find it. With a souvenir up for grabs we decided to take a drive to Laurieton for the day and stopped on the way down to pick up our first cache for the day. Nice puzzle, thanks Cookie

20/1/16. 8:46 AM. Cache #3430. Streak day #577.
12th of 12 finds today - Grants Beach, North Haven, Laurieton, Lakewood, Kew, Kendall & "this town".
After finding "Rusty's Mate", I had time for one more find so thought I'd hit the highway northwards to get to this one, one of a few puzzle caches that I had solved in Sydney before our week in Bonny Hills.
I parked within a few metres of the cache and found an easy way into the bush to the hint object. From there, an easy find. Signed log and dropped off a TB. Thanks Cookie!

By the time I got to this one it was now night time and still raining. I get out my torch and decide this one will be my first night cache. I look at the hint and it would appear that I may have my co-ordinates wrong because my figures mean a lot longer walk. I spend a few minutes trying to decide where to enter. I hadn't thought of how difficult it is looking at a black screen with a torch, walk a few metres, look back at the black screen was going to be. I had sufficiently annoyed the neighbours dogs to the point someone is going to come out and ask what I was doing. I decided to retreat. I will just have to come back again when it is light when I am passing through next. It could be a long wait.
On our way to Sydney and hoping to earn the well traveled cacher challenge. This distance was one we needed. A fair amount of water inside the cache but the log itself was dry. Dried it as best as we could. Took the Batman TB.

We were on our way to Sydney for our church conference so I had planned some caches close to the highway on the way down so we could break the journey.
We had the luxury of making it a 3 day journey so we could visit our daughter in Coffs and then have a nice stay in Tuncurry which the children loved.
My plan included caches that would fit with the Well Travelled Cacher 500 Challenge as we only needed 13 to complete it!
I had solved this one sometime ago so it was good to be able to change it to a smilie!!
I was able to park on the other side of the road and headed over to GZ, the rest of the crew decided to stay in the car!!!
GZ became obvious very quickly and soon after that I had uncovered my prize1!
Unfortunately the cache had a large amount of water in it but somehow the logbook survived and was reasonably dry.
Poor Old Batman TB ws swimming in water so I decided to move him along.
Thanks GC TFTC SL TNLN

After our early morning pi event geono. and I headed off in search for a ? Cache.
As we pulled up we noticed another car parked on the side of the road, then a man dash out of the bushes and jump into the cab.
Pulling up along side him we did the "so did you find it" comment.
Sure enough he had and then introduced him self as ironbark.
Better get on with finding this one as we have a wedding to get to!

Did my homework a week ago as I was driving from the 'gong to the mid north coast today and although I would miss the events this was the only unknown available so with co ords in hand a quick stop and dash into the bush had me on the money in no time before being busted by Geomo and Noo82. 16:45 Seeing GCookie at this morning’s event at Bonny Hills reminded me that this cache was awaiting finding – I’d done the calculation ages ago. How long ago was very surprising – Christmas day 2012, not long after it was published. So we headed down and after a bit of bush bashing came upon it. There were a couple of other finders today, it being π Day (3/14/15 if you happen to like American date format) when Mystery caches will gain you a Souvenir. TFTC GCookie and glad we got there eventually.
Little did we know when we worked out this puzzle more than a year ago that it would be the ideal cache for the Pi souvenir challenge and with Noo82 we off to find it. There was already occupants in the available parking and acting suspiciously like geocachers. We've had some funny looks and answers from the old "did you find it" line when it turns out to not be a cacher but this time, yes, they had. That was reassuring to MrsG who had been the one to work out the puzzle and being so long ago wasn't too sure how she'd done it or if she'd got it right. A quick chat to Ironbark and we were treading the same path that was used minutes earlier. Great, a cache big enough to hold the large TB we've been carting around. TFTC Grahame Cookie, left Batman for C & B TB.
Enjoyed solving the puzzle at home and then finding the cache. Thanks for providing us with so much enjoyment.
Love puzzles and finding a cache after solving the puzzle is even better. Many thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

This year we have a long winter holiday when we are travelling in the Pacific. We are doing sightseeing and geocaching. Now we will spend a six week period in Australia where we will drive from Melbourne to Murray Bridge and then via Grampians to Canberra, Sidney and Brisbane.
Staying in Port Macquarie for some days this day was for sightseeing and some caching. We took our rental car and drove a bith south. This puzzle was solved and now we stayed for to find and log it.

I knew I was coming up to the area to visit family over Christmas so had a go at home at solving this puzzle. My first attempt failed. I spotted this cache again as I searched the maps and decided to take another look at it. This time I tried another idea and to my surprise, GeoCheck gave me the green light. So after dinner tonight, Geotooter and I went on a bit of a Cook's Tour of the local area and arrived adjacent to where GZ was supposed to be. Walking in, the cache container was spotted and we retrieved it and signed the log with great satisfaction. Well done GC. A nice little puzzle cache I enjoyed completing. I'm happy to give you a favourite as I enjoyed the puzzle and finding a regular sized cache is a real bonus!

Found it a little way from our calculated GZ, but it was a reasonable sized container.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 4525. Robmc and I are on our way from SW Rocks to Lorne and have just about finished our caching day. We did a fair bit of stomping around in the undergrowth here before finding the cache. Our GPS's had been wanting us to search 10 metres away.
Thanks Grahame Cookie

I drove up to GZ and parked the geomobile.
Time to read the cache notes ....
Oh wait !! I know this one
Seattle
Sure is an odd name for a locality, but there you go !!
Australia also has a Denmark, and a Texas, so it wasn't too silly after all
Using that bit of information and a bit of scribbling on a bit of paper got me a set of coords to go and look in !!
And after a short-ish stroll I found a good cache hiding place
Woo hoo !! A cache
(caution: this cache log may contain red herrings)

This one was solved some time ago and driving past today it popped up on the radar. A quick stop off and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks!
After making a few math and cryptographic errors I finally was put on the right track. Tftc
A quick find on the way to work,
Though did have to have 3 goes at solving. Sad to say second was an arithmetic error. Not so good for a Surveyor
Lets see if I can keep this streak running for more than one day
TNLN
Thanks for the hunt GC

We stopped for a "cacher reviver" on a long drive north. The bush was still very wet and I wasn't relishing clambering around where the GPS wanted to go. Fortunately caught a glimpse of familiar colour in an more accessible place closer to the road. Thanks GC
Reperio at 0820.
This was one of the puzzles I took a quick look at solving a couple of days before driving up to Diamond Head for the weekend, and the answer was quickly worked out. This morning I had a couple of hours to find a few caches, so I headed out the road to GZ to grab this one. The GPS took me to a reasonable good spot, but ended up finding the cache a few meters away at another likely spot.
Gratias GC.

Gee Cookie, this one was a doozy. Started running ideas, trying to find a viable option. Cadet Kelly and I found one but didn't bother checking it, just winged it. No luck. Will sit down have another ponder. P-prass's story was of some help.
