We hunted around for 3/4 hour before we decided it was enough, GPS had us bouncing around leading us here there and back the here. Hope that next time we might be able to find
Finally got a fix from the GPS but there was nothing there. Everywhere you turn it looked the same. I did find some water containers (nowhere near GZ) and the camp previously mentioned but no cache.
Had a hunt around only found a camp site and aerosol cans but no cache Lokky 1 4 April 2016 15:38
Golly gosh, what a to do today. Gave up using the Garmin Nuvi and sent hubbie back for the trusty 60gsx Garmin. The ole girl just performs beautifully under the trees. Cache is in good shape and hidden very nicely. SL TNLN TFTC.

Last cache found today, after a short walk in beach.
We enjoyed the location, but we were expecting it to be closer to the beach, which is not the case.
Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Portugal.
#10053, Found it with DroidCachebox!
We visited this cache during our trip through out New Zealand!
With our rental car, we explored the north island for 12 days.
NZ is a beautiful country and we really enjoyed our time here.
We hope to return one day and explore a little bit more!
Day 9 - Pahia to Awanui
After two rainy days, today the weather was finally sunny, and that was great, this way we were able to enjoy the beauty of this area. We had a great time today and found a bunch of caches!
Thanks for the cache.

A little bit of hunting around for this one, but found it eventually. Bit of a weird shelter thing nearby had me convinced it was in there. Cheers!

Not exactly a great cache, but we did find it after a bit of wandering in the woods. Interesting area. Thanks.
On a mission this weekend with Cats&Dragons, with a the main goals of reaching Cape Reinga to find the Virtual caches up there and the 35 and 36 degree South challenges, plus with anything else in between. We had a great time touring around Northland, and it is a pretty spectacular place. Being from Southern Northland, it has reminded me that I need to visit this place more.
The initial plan was to head up the west coast and on to Ninety Mile Beach (which was a huge highlight of the trip) and then down the east coast, but the plan was flexible depending on progress. We mostly achieved our ambitious plan, but due to time restraints had to cut back a bit from the planned list. If we had another day I think we would of achieved most of what we had planned.
Some of the figures for the trip were, 1600km's travelled in a 48 hour period, 37 hours of caching, 4 hours of sleep, and 7 hours driving up from Hamilton and back, with a total of 176 caches found!!
Thanks to all the CO's for placing these caches and showing us around Northland.
Had no issues getting to GZ, sometimes the more direct route is easier. Had a bit of a hunt around, before I spotted something that wasn't quite right. Sure enough there was the cache.

This weekends little adventure was in the company of HKCB (as we'd both been given leave passes by our respective partners) so off we set.
The primary goals this weekend were to collect as many of the earthcaches as time would allow, the two virtuals, and complete both the requirements for the S35 & S36 challenges. Mind you this did not stop us working to collect anything else that we could find as time allowed.
It was a great trip with the weather playing its part so that we saw a great variety of countryside between caches and far too little sleep.
THe result was 1600kms (over 48 hours), 189 caches (35 hours caching) & 4 hours sleep, not bad for a couple of beginners. THanks to all the CO's and those that maintain the caches for us to collect on our too brief tour of the north.
Having filled up in Kaitaia, and now it was time to have fun on the beach, hope that work doesn't see these photos
Thanks for the placement

A bit of an effort needed here - my GPSr & cellphone didn't agree on distance until suddenly they both said 0-1m.... I looked & found a geocaching like sign - but no cache.
Looked around more, thinking that I must be close - and then found the cache.
I hadn't thought to mark a WP for either my car or where I left the track - duh! - and marched on in the wrong direction (North, not West) - eventually looked atr my phone & found I was closer to West Coast Rd than the track - emerged hot & bright red....
I had visited the beach before I headed to GZ - was highly entertained to see a very new BMW having to be rescued from the deep ruts on the sand near the road.

I teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 for a weekend of caching around Northland. After meeting early in Whangarei and driving up to Kaitaia via Kaikohe, we then made our way North to Cape Reinga. This took a little bit of hunting around till I spotted something that could be hiding a cache, and there it was! TFTC!

I am unashamadley after numbers at the moment so a trip to Northland with Vistra was planned, Saturday up to the Cape staying in Kaitaia then heading to Paihia for a late lunch event.
Went for a little walk in the woods, took a while to find the correct GZ, but we got there, ended up reading about 4m which is not bad with the tree cover, was pretty cool area for a cache and enjoyed the variety in finding it, can imagine it could be quite frustrating as there are a lot of hint items to search. That was not so easy to find! our GPS did want it to be on another slope, but after actually have been giving up, we saw something very geo-like at the end of a stump- and there it was!
the GPS was jumping around, but mostly around 15 meters when we found the cache.

Last summer the idea was born to visit [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green], together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url]
After some important decisions regarding the beginning of our trip, the flights, the general route and the car were made, the most important question was still unanswered: which caches can we visit during our tour [?]
To get an answer for this topic I was fetching almost every cache from both islands [8)][:X]
[url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] and I love [Teal]'Geo-Arts'[/Teal]...so we added all these cache series to our wish list
After this decision was made this list was more than 300 puzzle caches long...unsolved puzzle caches
Two weeks before Christmas it was getting time to start solving all these mystery caches
Even with the different language I could find almost every solution
In the case I was not so successful I was contacting some of the CO's...and was always getting help from them...many thanks for this support [:X]
During the following weeks our cache list was growing and growing...meanwhile more than 1000 caches long...too long for a simple bookmark list from GC
Time to get our route and caches in sync...time to save the PQ's to our Garmins...time to start this holiday:
Chapter 27: [red]Taipa[/red] to [green]Cape Reinga[/green] and back to [blue]Kaitaia[/blue]
On our trip to the far north we were exploring some places at the '90 miles beach'...and of course we were looking for some caches along our way
This was one of these caches
I would like to thank all the cache owners for showing us these great places and maintaining all these caches,

After driving the beach for a while we went for this one and it took us ages.
Ridiculously we had the "container" in hands and did not recognize it not being only trash.
Well.

n our [trip around the world](http://www.hoppundweg.piekar.de/) we came to New Zealand as well. We first visited the south Island, then we came to the north island. We searched many caches and found almost every cache we searched for . Thanks to all the owners of these caches. Now, 2 years later, we recognized, we will never be able to log every cache seperately... So: Sorry for this standard logtext and thanks for one of the caches, which accompanied us on our journey.
Due to we wont travel all the distance in one long ride from Cape Reinga to Auckland we decide to split the journey into 3 days. So it was enough time to drive the smaller roads, taking some sidetrip to beautiful spots for enjoying the scenery and of course to search for some of the caches a long the route. Due to we havn't rented a 4x4 car we were not able to drove the 90mile beach all the time. Today on morning we were at the northern end of the beach at the Te Paki dunes and to get an impression of the never endless beach we made a short sidetrip to this spot. During a tasty cake we enjoyed the scenery, took a refreshing short bath and of course we searched for the cache. Thanks a lot and sorry for the really late log.
It's a nice area here, but this cache was kind of unnecessary. Just a bottle in the landscape is not that exciting...
Anyway,

Nice walk in the shade of the forest in the midday heat while cycling up the beach. Tftc.
After having just come back from Ninety Mile Beach we parked nearby and went for a walk in a forest. As it happens we walked a good line and managed to find the cache quite quickly, while our GPS was still saying we were not at GZ yet. TFTC.
We marked a waypoint at the cache as S 35 02.414 E173 10.364.

Located with Yeetrees after walking around in circles, it has now been a few years since we joined a bus tour with Harrisons up Ninety Mile Beach, TFTC.
Was about to give up when i found out he gz was inaccurate, gps coverage poor and the clue useless. Needle in a haystack. Just when i left i saw it reflecting the ligt of my torch. True Gz seems about 10 m NW from gps. Lots of pinecones there.
This took a while to find! The GPS was pretty much spoky in here! But we , ceklund55 and I found at last! Pjuh! Greetings from Sweden and TFTC!

GPS was a bit off in the woods, found after a brief search, water bottle by tree.
Nearly everything matches the description, but in the end ther will be one master match and the box will be in hands. TftC
Certainly a lottery with all the trees down, but perseverance pays off, after a short search this quickly was in hand. Logbook is very hard to retrieve.
#508 found on day 4 of my te araroa walk to wellington. Was staying the nigHt At the campground across the road. Found cache easily enough once I realised I wasn't looking at rubbish.
Out enjoying my first wee loop road trip in the Geonut. Nice to stop in for a forest wonder. GPS jumps a Bit, but all is well as read the hint. Sign, replace and beach time .
After reading the logs, the eyes were focused on trash, so the "container" was found after a short search. TFTC
I'm traveling around new zealand and I must see see ninety miles beach and so I must have also a cache here

A good walk after little more than 5 minutes of intensive driving on the beach from "90 miles and back again". The surface is excellent, but can change in seconds so great care has to be taken on the beach.
This cache was first mistaken for trash. It wasn't until aedk passed it again he noticed there was something inside..

GPS couldn't't get US within 50 metres of it and with so many possible hiding places we couldn't find it.
Nice hide, daughter found it first but we discounted it first after not noticing what was inside.
Staying nearby at the campsite.
