In town over the weekend picking up the odd cache with the idea of cycling along the the stopbank.
It was a cold start but soon fined up and was an awesome day thanks for the cache and the smiley.

Three days after the remnants of Cyclone Cook had passed we rode up this cycleway from Clive to Fernhill. We are a little unsure as to which caches we found on our way up so beg for indulgence if we have logged some and not actually found them. What was evident was the trees, blown over, how high the flood waters had been and how wet many of the logs were (to the point of being a mushy pulp. We thought we knew where one cache may be but there was a grumpy possum in the hidey hole so we looked no further and haven’t of course logged that as a find. It may be a good idea for cache owners to check their caches are OK. However many thanks to all those who have contributed to the trail. TFTC's
Nice day to cycle the trail. On approach to GZ, a truck came along track, I did a quick turn around to get out of way from the dust. Not quick enough. A drink of water first then back to signing log. Cheers.
Found this cache while cycling the trail. Couldn't sign the log as it was wet through.
Dried out the plastic bag inside and left a fresh dry log possibility. TFTC timbermills.
After delivering a Team Woofy member to the near by swimming pool for a 2 hour training session we headed over to this trail to fill in the time...
Team Woofy had already found this one, so I entertained them whilst I made the find....

I found this with my dad (nickhbnz) ages ago but only just got my own account . Thanks
The Three Amigos had planned this trip over several weeks we had a lot on our to do list all the bike trails all the puzzles in town except one we haven't solved all the night trails and all the wherigos plus any trads in between. There was one thing we ran out of while here and that was time so I guess we will be back another day.
This was the first cache we got on the trail and was a nice quick find we were hoping that the rest of the trail would be the same but that wasn't to be .
The rain arrived half way thorough the trail and we were a bit disappointed that some of the caches were missing and have been missing for some time looking at previous logs.
By the time we got back to the car after riding into a cold head wind and rain it was getting dark we were all stuffed maybe we should ride our bikes more lol.
Cut and paste logs for the rest.

We've had this Tauranga to Hawkes Bay trip planned for a couple of months now and this was our 19th find. I'm afraid there'll be a lot of cut & pasting from this point. The caches of this trail were varied, some clever, others not so much. Some DNFs and others spotted from the track. This series was a bit of a battle at times, especially when the rain set in. TNXPro, DavidsonClan and myself have signed the logs T3A, an acronym from our messenger chat 'The 3 Amigos'. Cheers Timbermills.

We had planned a trip from Tauranga to Napier area for weeks now, and this weekend was the time to get as many caches as we could find. We called ourselves "The Three Amigos" (and logged as 'T3A'), comprising of myself, Philip.Perry and Davidsonclan. Leaving at 5am Saturday morning, we knew we had a long weekend ahead of us.
We brought our bikes with the intention of completing all the powertrails here, but instead we only managed this one by bikes - but only just! Excuse the C&P logs from here.
A quick find along the trail which kicks us off on the long bike ride.

We were heading down to the Hawkes Bay for the weekend in order to run a half-marathon in the vineyards. Of course, no road trip is complete without grabbing some geocaches along the way, and this was one of our targets.
Decided to walk down to this one from the road, and the cache was soon in hand. No problems here. Thanks for the hide!

Pretty quick find, luckily it was secured as this helped it during the heavy rain and floods recently! It was muddy on the outside and just a little wet inside but log was nice and dry on our way to the next TFTC
Lots of confusion about which trail we were meant to be on as some of the signs indicated we were not meant to be there. Decided after having done a series of caches in the morning we would tackle another set of caches along this cycle route. Not to be outdone by the very cold and forceful wind or the bulls along the way we managed to locate many of these both close by and down off the levee.
Forgot to log this one yesterday on my travels! Would have made it easier if I didn't think I knew where it was before I even looked!!! Took me a good 15 minutes of hunting around the spot that I was sure it would be in before I expanded my search and found it pretty quickly!
Really not keen on the 4 legged animals though!!

Sorry for the copy and paste logs, but we had a lovely day biking this track, we didnt see many people at all on this side, thanks for taking the time to place these caches. - we each took a gate i came up trumps
Out for a bike ride. Found at the last place we looked. Grey day. Hope to get a few more in before it rains.
Nice easy find in a nice spot on a nice day out on the bikes.

The dog took us straight to this one. Maybe he's learning. Will have to see if he can help with perseverance is the key, haha
It was fun to split up and see who could find this one first. Kids loved zooming down the hill on their bikes.
Saturday quick walk before we headed to Mangatutu hot springs, thanks for this cache, quick find.
Out on a sunny day with some of the Jr. Cachers along a bike ride power trail. In our case the correct gate was the one that the muggles passed through and caused us to wait a minute or two for them to disappear up the track. A quick find as the GPSr took us right to GZ. TFTC.
Found, but gosh I made it hard for myself! The cattle were a bit too close for my liking. Then I came across a wasp nest, was hesitant to poke around too much with that there. Then I didn't look behind me and got a shock from the electric fence. After all that, it would have been easy if I'd just approached it logically! Tftc
A quick easy find, a wee way off the cycleway, which was to become the norm. TFTC
Looked in all the likely areas. We suspect recent flooding in the area may have claimed the cache
Again, a lot of water in the area where our GPS was pointing to. So not quite sure whether it is still there considering all the debris around the gate.
River has been high due to recent rain but cache unaffected. Quickly found.
