I was there. Almost forgot to log. Need this one - 599. One more to find (until the next milestone starts and away we go again!)

Thanks for organising the day - was great to be able to lend a hand and catch up with familiar faces again.

Great day with like-minded people - and yes, the extra water for the plants was a mission to find, even think a pair of sunglasses were given up as lost treasure!

Apart from being quiet hot, it was nice getting out and helping. Thanks.

Forgot to note that I will be in attendance.

A beautiful day at the lake. Arrived early and gave a quick hand to help setup ... Ok I arrived and it was all pretty much done.

Was interesting to see so many different stalls and people soon started arriving. Took a group out and we started planting some trees. Soon collected a whole lot of stakes and after enjoying the company and watering some plants I headed home to do the cito at my place

Skipped the opening ceremony to get straight into the CITO. Master and Miss Jacksonz planted trees, while Mrs Jacksonz pulled out stinking ivy (you're right - it doesn't stink) - Mr Jacksonz was skiving off with Teejay to get a nearby cache. Then an expedition to get more water for the just planted trees with TeeJay, and Miss Jacksonz - who'd have thought getting to the lake would be so difficult. And then on to the stake pulling - about 750 stakes, and 3 warratahs later, an hour guided walk, a quick entry in the peat lake quiz competition (which we won!) and then we find that everyone else has left - but it's only 3 o'clock. Oh well, time to do some caches in the peace and quiet while no one else is about. Thanks for the incentive to come here for a great day out.

A very enjoyable day, makes you feel better, having done that just small bit to try and help.
One earth so far, so best to look after it.

Nice to put some faces to the log names.

Had a great day & we all really enjoyed the event. Always fun to catch up with fellow cachers & even better that it was for a good cause today. Awesome to see the changes happening here. And for us, a day that will go down in folklore in our family ... the youngest will be milking it for years to come that he was made to work with a broken toe! Thanks heaps to the CO for organising us, TFTC

Had a great day out here, A many thanks to all of you that helped with the CITO today.
A special thanks to those who travelled so far to be here (especially those from Auckland and Rotorua) as it was great to be able to put names to faces.

Out for the day with Squirrel Nutcase. What a team we made. Cool

It was a scorcher of a day, but some trash was returned and stakes pulled. Had a great day. Thanks Cats&Dragons. Razz

Saw this CITO while cache surfing and knew I had to attend. Met up with Spiderhouse and invited them to team up for regular cache hunting drives. We put the CITO on our list of caches for today.

Totally loved my day out with Spiderhouse. We must have talked caching in between actual caching. The conversation was not dull for me, and I enjoyed the company of like minded people. The CITO was hot work. We arrived in time to pull stakes, and there were literally thousands. It was really energy-sapping in the heat, but I'm glad to have made a small contribution toward improving this lovely environment. Thanks to the hosts for organising this event.

Thanks in advance to all of you that are able to help with this worthwhile event.

If you can remember the following:
1/. take plenty of water (if today was any indication it will be hot)
2/. Ice packs for food will be a good idea
3/. ensure that you have a hat

I Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow
Cheers

Are there other cachers that would like to complete the Earth cache here tomorrow. I asked the cache owner if we could dedicate some time to complete this as well.
My daughter Teejay will be in attendance too

Definitely 1 to attend but child in moon-boot will have to stay home Sad Mmm, the lengths they'll go to, just to avoid hard labour! Wink

Sorry, we can't attend. We've been away and must have missed earlier notices about this. Just read it last night on the email that I opened straight after sending the one confirming accommodation for this weekend away. We're so disappointed, but hope there will be other CITOs that we can attend in April. All the best for good work and good fun, we'll be caching around Thames.

We'll be there Smile

Three of us hope to attend from Rotorua. We want to combine this worthy cause with cache hunting in the area.

Any tips or company will be gladly accepted.
