We adopted this series from our friends a few years ago. Reluctantly we removed the cache and it's contents from the beautiful Nangara Reserve today as we are no longer able to maintain the series. I hope that new caches are placed here to highlight this historically significant reserve.
When the hint says No need to bush bash but your GPS says you do I went up down left out up down left down. Switching map modes had me in different areas. But then finally I found the sneaky sucker...this was a very satisfying find TFTH.
Find # 10841
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
The Sale trip is almost over. Today we packed up and headed for home (well Werribee for me for the night)
We targeted a few caches along the way and added more to the list as we went on our last cache was going to be in Pakenham but with a new Virt in the city we detoured and We even managed to get the FTF, This city grab sparked more smiley gathering and after a walk around the MCG an the tennis courts i had added another good handfull to my list.
This would have to be the best end to a great loooooong weekend out.
GPSr was a little jumpy here but after a good look we came up with the goods.

Found with FUF009.
Our journey back to Melbourne after a long weekend in Sale.
I made a list of caches for us to find on the way. We found almost all of them, added a few and dropped a few.
My caching day started in Yinnar and ended at the MCG!

While we were searching for this cache we had drizzle followed by blazing sunshine, then some very dark clouds rolled across the sky and looked threateningly down at us. And when I say “we” were searching, it was more me searching while two kids bickered over basketball rules, and the third perched moodily on a log, staring into the distance. My triumphant yell of “I found it!” was mostly ignored. I’m sure they were very happy for me, on the inside. Sigh. Thank you for the cache!

What looked like it was going to be a quick walk in the reserve turned into a couple of hours of frustration due to poor coordinates and the nature of the hides. The reserve was a beautiful location and I took the time to read the notice board and learn the history of the area, It is a place we may bring our horses in the future for a ride. I got lucky on this one and spotted it from the right angle. Thanks de ja vu for keeping this one going.
This was a bit of a walk to get there. And when we got in the area to find this one we lost the Internet to find out the information about where it could be. But having a search and not knowing what we were looking for I said to Geogirl can you have a look over there and she found the very very low hide. This one hasn’t been found for awhile and the logbook is a little bit damp.

Today I headed out to explore the hills with jascat but they weren't just any hills they are the Haunted Hills, once that territory had been covered we then had a DGS night cache in our sights but we were passing some other caches along the way, this was one of them.
This little series was spotted on the map and it was a good way to fill in a bit of time before it was dark for the night cache.
At least this one was a nice easy find as it was starting to get dark and we left our torches in the car.
**Thanks to TheGGGs for placing this cache.**

On our way to do a night cache and made a stop here. A quick find once I spotted a familiar type of hide.

When deciding to spend some family time together for an easy busy walk, I had saved this location. I don't think I would have even known about this area if it wasn't for geocahing, so thanks to the COs for highlighting this lovely area.
This location, our phones had absolutely no phone or data signals but the GPS was working well, and the cache was found very quickly in the second place we looked. After signing the log, we continued up the hill just to say we finished that steep hill.
Thanks for the cache kmps & The GGGs

Tftc gggs. Never ever been to this reserve before despite growing up in The Valley. Will come back with the grandkids one day. Be pretty dry on a hot day though.
Spending the last of our long weekend caching and exploring this one had us stumped for a while had our hands on the clever camo a couple times before we tried something new and revealed just what we were looking for. Tftc
A disappointing day here in Nangara Reserve.
A DNF to start the walk and another one here.
Looked in all the likely spots, keeping the hint in mind which didn't really help at all.
Expanded my search area to over 30m from GZ but still no luck.
In areas like this, where GPS can be sketchy, a hint which describes where to look would be helpful in my opinion.
I decided to call it quits here and headed back to the car.
Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night

Needed to log this one for sure. Huff and puff up the hill with a gran on board but worth it. TFTC
Whilst out replacing two caches in this series which had disappeared we checked this one and all is ok. There was a trackable in the cache [despite not showing on the inventory] and kmps as taken it to move it on.
Found this one with CJPERX again. After walking in circles for a while and replaying the clue in our head over and over again, the log was in our hands in a bout 10 mins. Tricky little hide. TFTC oh.... yeah. Forgot.... Collected Denmark TB from here
Interesting hide, and it was nice to find a geocoin that I retrieved. Left the TB for someone else.
To be honest I was mostly looking for place to drop a somewhat bulky trackable, but this 'regular' wasn't quite big enough. It was however found pretty swiftly after a pleasant stroll in this unfamiliar and, er, distinctive reserve. Thanks TheGGGs & kmps!
This is getting ridiculous she literally didn't let me finish reading there bio! Thanks for the cache! Really good fun!
Experience meant this was a quick find. We loved the interesting art pieces on the way. Thanks for the cache
Took the opportunity to find a few caches while jcody visited a nearby open garden.
After long searches for the others in this series, this cache was a walkup. Spotted it straight away.

In the area today and decided to find a cache or two.
I made getting to this cache a lot harder than it really was. I was within 60 metres and went bush as the name of the cache stated, wrong move, the first 30 metres was easy going, then I was confronted with thick scrub and undergrowth then I encountered a steep drop for the next 15 metres. I finally made it to the track again. The cache was located and the log was signed.
'Scrat' visited your cache whilst on his Great Aussie adventure.

Out on a run with Ahomburg & Jamin Appleford on the way to attempt a 5/5 cache nearby. Saw this little cluster of caches and so with some spare time before the schedule start time for underworld we took a stroll around this reserve. Took a direct approach which was later found to be unnecessary as there was a track passing right by GZ. Its always funny when that happens. Nice size container too.

A quick stop here to pick up some caches before descending further into the bush.
Passed by some friendly horseriders before finding this cache then had to jog back to meet the rest of the group. Thanks for this nice little series.

Find #4112
Today started a little later then the usual cache runs that SedgwickDave and I go on. We were meeting some others at Underworld II at 1PM, so no real urgency. It was a perfect sunny day, Ideal to pick up some caches along the way.
We were joined by Jamin Appleford for this little circuit of caches. We ended up doing a bit of cross country for this one, but unlike the previous one, a straight forward find.
Thanks to TheGGGs & kmps for placing this cache. TNLN

I found this cache today at 10:20am as number 7 of 45 on our Warragul Wander in company of Alansee. A bit of a weave and climb from the last cache, then Alansee spotted this one straight away. Thanks from D B-A.
Found with Rabbitto today. The third in this Reserve for us, and a quick find once we were in the right spot.
Left a peg a nice hide thank you pretty toadstools and fungi around to see

Today was my day out caching with Biggles Bear. We picked a number of caches in the area in a nice loop, and did our best to find them. We headed cross country to get to this one, only to find a track taking us right there. After a fail at Out of their Burrows, this was a nice quick find.
Thanks again to TheGGGs for the cache.

Thanks to HermitCat for the advice that maintenance was required. Have replaced the container & the log & also dropped a TB. All ready to go.
When I found it the container lid was completely cracked and the inside was full to the brim with water. :C Log book was unfortunately not sealed, will need replacing. Such a fantastic reserve though, I enjoyed the walk to find it. =)
As soon as I saw that there was a GC in this cache I went straight back and got it.
I swapped the GC for a TB.

Found in an adventurous walk around the reserve. Loved it. Cheers from Team Bearsleys
Can't believe I didn't find this one the other day when I came looking. Still quite a hot day and didn't want to spend too much time looking, but found this one quite quickly.
Just as a note saw a snake cross the path in front of us on the way to this one. Just a reminder that in this weather we need to keep our eyes open for those that inhabit areas like this.

A bit of a haul to get to this one, had a good look around but still couldn't find the cache. Will certainly have to come back again another day. Quite hot so moved on fairly quickly.
When these got published I was over on Phillip Island for christmas hoildays so I was out of the ftf race, congrats to De Ja Vu on all ftfs. This was a quick find as gps was spot on.Sl Thanks GGG's and Kmps for another great hide.
The last find on a lovely Sunday afternoon walk, luckily this one did not take too long, because it was starting to get dark and I was not certain the best track to follow to get back to the car. Spotted and investigated several likely hiding places before finding this well hidden (for a larger size) cache.
Thanks for bringing me to this park, it was an interesting place and I enjoyed finding each of the caches here - even if I was late back for dinner and it was cold by the time I got there.

We greatly enjoyed our walk through the reserve. This was the easiest of the four to find.
Our fourth ***FTF*** for the morning. We do enjoy finding caches on walks like this, and also enjoyed the variety of hides. This was a quick find and we were rewarded with a FTF prize and a travel bug. We left some swaps. It has been an enjoyable walk in the bush, far removed from the busyness of Christmas preparations. Thanks TheGGGs and kmps, Merry Christmas.
