We adopted this series from our friends a few years ago. Reluctantly we removed the cache and it's contents from the beautiful Nangara Reserve today as we are no longer able to maintain the series. I hope that new caches are placed here to highlight this historically significant reserve.

I wasn’t sure what I was looking for and round out of time for this one. I’ll be back though

Now the last time we tried to find this one, the locals were burning off so we unfortunately felt a bit intrusive but this time paid off as all the trees have grown back nicely, little man found this one and was straight into the Bush to collect it. Tftc

In the area tackling the new adventure lab series, another clever hide.
Always love the feel of a new replacement log.
Cheers for the cache

Picturesque.

What looked like it was going to be a quick walk in the reserve turned into a couple of hours of frustration due to poor coordinates and the nature of the hides. The reserve was a beautiful location and I took the time to read the notice board and learn the history of the area, It is a place we may bring our horses in the future for a ride. I enjoyed some of the sculpture on the way to this one. To be honest I am not a fan of micros in the bush when there are plenty of spots to hide a decent cache, managed to find this one after doing a few circles. Thanks de ja vu for keeping it going.

09-Jun-19
We came here for a treasure finding tour on our way to visit our Nans. We thought we had lost our treasure finding mojo until we expanded where we thought it was and made the easy find.

*23 Feb 2019, Found @ 7:05 pm, Find # 8959.*

Today I headed out to explore the hills with jascat but they weren't just any hills they are the Haunted Hills, once that territory had been covered we then had a DGS night cache in our sights but we were passing some other caches along the way, this was one of them.
This little series was spotted on the map and it was a good way to fill in a bit of time before it was dark for the night cache.
This was the first and was a quick and easy find but some of the others weren't so easy.

**Thanks to kmps for placing this cache.**

On our way to do a night cache and made a stop here. The cache was a quick find. I haven’t seen one of these hides in a while.

found it with my family and signed it with my dad 999hunter

When deciding to spend some family time together for an easy busy walk, I had saved this location. I don't think I would have even known about this area if it wasn't for geocahing, so thanks to the COs for highlighting this lovely area.

Up until this point, we had enjoyed the walk and the lovely art works, but not enjoyed the geoaching aspect with 2 DNFs already. This one was looking to be the same, with the GPS still bouncing everywhere, however with some looking in every possible location, the container was found. So that is the original Micro container is it? Not sure the kids even knew what this was. Nothing like my 21 century 3D printed micros. Wink

Thanks for the cache kmps & The GGGs

PS. Container and log was wet, tried to dry it out. Might need to add a "Write in the Rain" log

Not found today. It didn't help that I don't know what "the original definition of a micro" is. I'll come back to this park though with the grandkids, which is more the point of luring me here in the first place isn't it?

It's been a while since we have been caching. So today the plan was to hit the bush. We couldn't decide which way to go. We were tossing up between Creswick Area, the beach areas south of Frankston or the Warragul area. So Mrs P. put the locations in a hat and pulled out Warragul area.

So per our previous log, rather than completing the walk, we walked back to the start to show the lady we had met and her 2year old son, this cache (we skipped it when we arrived as there were too many muggles around). Well that was the plan, but we almost gave up and told her usually they aren't this hard to find, when our little miss yells out "Found it!" - phew! We showed the young lady and her son the cache and the log and she took photos to show her partner and friends with kids.. I think we may have converted a muggle!

Thanks for the cache kmps & TheGGGs. We love caches that bring us to great locations! We will definitely be back to complete the walk and find the rest of the caches here.

Checked ok.

Didn't get to have a good search for this one due to the farmer burning off right next to the fence.

19-Apr-18
Whilst out replacing two missing caches in this series we did a maintenance check on this one. Just as well as the bush it had been placed in appears to have been poisoned. It has been moved but it will not affect the co-ordinates.

Beautiful walk up to this find testing my lungs. The last of this reserve complete. Thanks you so much for bringing me to this amazing little town. Lived in Gippsland all my life and have never explored any of this area. TFTC

For some reason this one virtually leapt out at me the moment I came to a halt. It proved to be interesting place for a spontaneous brisk walk/jog break while passing. A curious fellow in heavy duty military attire walking his dogs was the only other visitor I met in the reserve. Apart from the dogs themselves. They individually introduced themselves. Thanks TheGGGs & kmps!

18-Aug-16
Nice little hide! Didn't take too long! The Geo Mrs. Has finally caught the bug! Starting to make me look bad! Thanks for the cache great hint! Smile

This is a beautiful reserve that I'd never have known was here unless I was out caching so thanks for placing this cache here. I saw lots of kookaburras and blue wrens, very pretty.

Quick and easy find after a short easy walk. Botanist on board may have been cheating. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

12-Apr-15
Took the opportunity to find a few caches while jcody visited a nearby open garden.
Flora and fauna are not my strong point and the clue didn't help much until that Sesame St. song came into my head. "One of these things is not like the other......" Not long after that I had the critter.
Dropped the cap while filling in the log and spent a few more frustrating minutes looking for it. Sad

Out on a run with Ahomburg & Jamin Appleford on the way to attempt a 5/5 cache nearby. Saw this little cluster of caches and so with some spare time before the schedule start time for underworld we took a stroll around this reserve.
Nice spot and a hide which took a couple of moments to locate, with Ahomburg making the find.

Find #4110

Today started a little later then the usual cache runs that SedgwickDave and I go on. We were meeting some others at Underworld II at 1PM, so no real urgency. It was a perfect sunny day, Ideal to pick up some caches along the way.

We were joined by Jamin appleford for this little circuit of caches. A quick find on this with the three of us searching.

Thanks to kmps & TheGGGs for placing this cache. TNLN

I found this cache today at 9:55am as number 5 of 45 on our Warragul Wander in company of Alansee. We were able to park to the south and walk down for this one and it was luckily soon spotted. Thanks from D B-A.

Today was my day out caching with Biggles Bear. We picked a number of caches in the area in a nice loop, and did our best to find them. This one was the first in the series and the easiest to find. Thanks to kmps for the cache.

Finally had the chance to come back and get this one. Had collected the other 3 in this reserve a few months back. Being a teacher the school holidays come in handy for going back for DNFs. I'm glad I can now take this one off my 'to do' list. TFTC

14-Sep-13
On a bit of a bike ride and decided to check if there were any caches about. I remember coming to this one many times and found this cache really quickly. TFTC!

30-Jul-13
Out for a bit of caching with Super Pop and Dr Who 2 we had thought “Down the Line” was going to be the last for the day and were dropping Dr Who 2 off but as the rain had again stopped and this was so close to Dr Who 2’s place decided we had time for one more cache.. We parked and walked to GZ and started our search. The GPSr settled on one area this time as there was not too much tree cover but it still took us quite a few minutes to locate the cache and add our names to the log.

Thanks kmps & TheGGGs for the nice hide in an interesting reserve we are looking forward to returning to locate the others in this series.

Found it.
This was a short walk from where we parked and after puzzling over what was native
and what was not and with the GPs finally deciding on where GZ was we were able to
make the find. Great little hide. SL TFTC.

Aftrer parking the GeoRanger on the side of the road, walked quickly to GZ, started looking then reverted to the hint. Quickly made the discovery soon after, where I signed the log and hot footed it back up the path to hit the road again. I'll bring the bike to get the remaining two over a lunch break.

Thanks for the cache TheGGGs and kmps.

Still no luck finding this one. Looked around the general area but just couldn't find GZ. They must be well camouflaged. A nice walk anyways

When these got published I was over on Phillip Island for christmas hoildays so I was out of the ftf race, congrats to De Ja Vu on all ftfs. I really like the statue's on the way to this cache.Sl Thanks GGG's and Kmps for bringing me here to see all the great art work.

13-Jan-13
Walking up the hill toward GZ I spotted what I thought was a likely hiding place, however after investigating it more closely I failed to find the cache. Expanding the search provided a few more likely hiding places but even though I had a good guess at what/where I was looking for, this one was well hidden and took a while to find. TFTC.

07-Jan-13
Great hide, well placed in the location. TFTC.

06-Jan-13
A nice hide in a lovely location.

24-Dec-12
Another ***FTF***, very uncharacteristic of us. As they say, the early bird gets the worm. We received an email alert at 11.30pm last night and thought we might have a fair chance of finding some caches before the local "crowd" arrived this morning. Setting off at 8.30am it was already quite warm and a lovely location for a walk in the bush and learn some of our history. I am sure some of the local schools visit here for excursions. A very special place to visit. Signed another fresh log. Glad we didn't bring the bikes as originally planned. Thanks kmps and TheGGGs
