found the cache about 1 tree away from where the gps wanted me. quick find. Now off to the nearby t5 cache.
Day Twenty three of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide. Deadly treadlies out of action (how long does it take to fix 5000 bindi holes?) and so into the car and off North east to the Lets Follow caches, both Alice and a few more of the Little Para Trail.
We grabbed several others as they fell under our path, and some newly maintained caches.
We were up to our.... well the grass was very long here!
I walked right past it and found a hive of bees on the next tree.
Fortunately BB saw it before things got too interesting.
Thanks, Robmc.

#11988. Day 23 of our SA holiday. With the bicycles in dry-dock getting their new bindi-proof tyres on this morning we headed off in the geo-chariot back to the north - firstly for the Let's Follow Alice series and then back to the LPT trail to try to finish it off by shanks pony. A couple of decent walks but a very enjoyable time until it got too hot just as we were finishing. We gathered a couple of others on the way and had the customary couple of DNF's.
No bullants here (that I noticed) but Rob did discover bees. Fortunately he didn't make them angry. Not sure what the camouflage is supposed to be on this one but it was pretty obvious with no covering just sitting there.
Noxious weeds - yep, we saw more nasty bindis and also some small Patterson's Curse as we continued our walk from here. I am sure there were plenty of others that we didn't identify.
Thanks McKee Clan

Having found this one i should of looked where i was standing as i quickly found myself doing the ant dance to an army of angry bullants.
Still managed to sign log and replace the cache without being bitten.

Having a girls only caching run, out and about with earthlight and Gwen from The X-Trailers. Earthlight suggested clearing up the LPT's this side of Pt Wakefield road and as it happened the 3 of us had approx a dozen unfounds to convert to smileys.
We have found plenty of bull ants and noxious mosquitoes, now we have found the bees, lets not make them angry, searched everywhere else the GPSr wanted us to be. Gwen found this one. A novel hide

GPS was a bit all over the place at GZ, but after searching a few likely spots and avoiding one particular tree trunk containing an active bee-hive at the base a couple of metres from final GZ we located the cache. Have not seen a hide quite like this before, at first I wasn't sure it was the cache, but upon further investigation came up with the goods.
Well we set out to finish his end of the LPT series this morning,.. but..
ABORT! ABORT! (**waves white flag furiously**) you win this time mosquitos! as we run back to the car.
They were out in force today.

Found with Team_KiloSierra. I was more concerned with the bullants in the general area than the hordes of mosquitos attacking Kilo & Sierra.

Didnt find this one although I think we were in the right place. Lots of bull ants.
It's very serene here with traffic noise in the distance only. Thanks McKee clan for a walk in the wild.
After 2 months at home with sick kids, we decided to actually have adult time, no kids and all we could think of doing was geocaching.....a nice walk helped clear the head although we really have forgotten how to actually open our eyes and look.
The cache camo is missing which actually helped us find this one without calling a friend Thankyou for the cache

Lovely Sunday walk with geohubby and geopuppy. Found along the trail all in good order! TFTC SL
Found after fumbling around in the wrong spot for far too long. Was about to concede defeat when I stumbled across the camo, and then spent a good minute trying to figure out how I missed it for so long. Really enjoyed this one, so TFTC McKee Clan!
Bees still hovering around. Take the easier way in. Spotted a stompy . Gugless was again forst on GZ, cache in hand quickly. Tftc
Found it this time. Good to get this one off the list. Watch out for some swarming bees nearby.

We had heard on the social 'grapevine' that there was an easy D1 T5 cache to be had while the creek was dry. We know that is cheating a bit, but we just couldn't help ourselves. If we could achieve that one it would fill in a gap on our D/T chart. We set off from our current digs early in the morning of a 40degree forecast day in Gawler.
While heading for our target cache we had to grab those we were passing nearby too. This was our first find of six caches before we got too hot to continue.
Many thanks for the hide on this lovely trail McKee Clan[^]

Lots of obvious hides around this one which makes it a little more challenging. Sit back and think about it and it comes pretty quickly.
good place to stop as the sun was going down. head to toe sprayed with aeroguard good to go. tftc tnsl
Our last find for the day. Luckily the mozzies were not so thick here as further back down the track.

I didn't see any snakes but I heard something crawling through the grass.
It was probably a Bluetongue, thats what I'll tell myself anyway.

We had found the majority of caches in the Lowere Power Trail during previous visits. Today we thought we would tackle the four caches to the western side of the Port Wakefield Road. It was a very pleasant walk but, rather strangely, we didn't meet any others out walking. This well hidden cache took a little longer to find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache McKee Clan.
As the sun sets on a winter's day,

On our tour of Australia via Oz Mega we are currently staying at Highway 1 Caravan Park.
Today it was the boys turn to head out on the electric bikes again. So Mr Felix and Mr iluvtrekking headed out to attempt the Lets follow LPT.
Some really creative hides, but alas also some DNF's.
The weather was really threatening to rain but held off till after dinner time.

We joined forces with FelixII today for another days caching in the greater Adelaide area before our imminent departure. The boys set out on the bikes to hunt down the Nexy series, while the girls had a much more sedate day which involved stopping for coffee along the way.
We had a great day, thanks for your cache McKee Clan

Noxious weeds abound in many of our parks and reserves. Olives being the most abundant! The guys who get paid to chop, poison, burn the olives in some of our parks are on a winner. Their job will be one that never ends. In my efforts to uncover this sneaky hide in the dark, I went head first into a leaf-curling spider web and then uncovered a bee-hive (that were thankfully quite dormant due to the darkness). Could have been ugly otherwise! TFTC McKee Clan.
Found on a walk around the wetlands with Bob from Elsewhere during a foray into the northern suburbs. Thanks for the cache McKee Clan!

Fortunately, no snakes spotted here today .
Thanks for showing us a section of the LPT we'd never been before McKee Clan [^].

Just about finished this series by bike. started it last yr when we joined in on a CITO. That was just the start of things to come. took us awhile due to time restraints, but we got there. McKee Clan you are to be congratulated on a great series. It's helpful to also to live around the corner from the trail.
moved off along the Lets Follow LPT trail. It certainly is another world from the bush to the swamps.
Terrible day geocaching. Just 8 in 5 hours! A record? Found some good caches but also some: giant mosquitos, bees nests, brown snakes, biting ant swarms and a frog. An interesting day. A good series, but probably better in winter. Tftc McKee Clan!
Quick find but others be warned to take care I almost stood on a brown snake, I didn't think it would be warm anough for snakes but oh boy I got a fright tftc
On a very windy day i was stuck at home cleaning up the houses and I thought what could be better then this.
"Oh yeah, I am a geocacher" So i convinced the wife and geodaughter that house work could wait but the caches couldn't.
Third Cache of the day and another great hide once again not where i would have first thought it would bee (a small pun about the near by bees in the tree. lol) I love the amount of effort that you guys go to, you really take that extra step with your caches and if everyone put as much effort into their caches the company that makes eclipse mints would go out of business.
Thank you very much Again Mckees and another Favourite point from us.

After work, right on dusk, I was out to get a cache.
Instead I did the locus cache thing twice and then on my way home, a new cache was published and so I also got a FTF!
That all just made my day a heap better!
Not so sure I saw noxious weeds but I did see a creek running, LOTS of mosquitoes, lots of green grass and even a safe and dry place to cross the creek [^]
Thanks for this series, as it sure has given me some memorable moments

Today some of the team were out on a bike ride, enjoying the beautiful weather and attempting to find all the remaining caches along this bike track.
A nice little cache to finish this glorious day off. When you go to find this cache, DO NOT search near the bees! The cache is on the other side of the little group of trees. TFTC McKee Clan
So we parked off Pt Wakefield Rd for this stretch of the trail, went past #24 (never start with a micro, it'll just get us frustrated right off , and arrived here hoping for a quick find. In the end, it turned into the hardest, looked in all the wrong places, even contemplated braving the bees but thought better of it in the end. First of four finds today on the LPT. TNLNSL TFTC
GZ of 25 presented 2 problems to us. The first was the GPS pointing us to the wrong point. It was pretty determined to send us to one particular tree! But the main problem was the second one that there was SO MUCH BARK and so many weeds! This cache should be called Barking Mad, not the previous cache. Lol. Suffice it to say, it took us several minutes to find! But eventually Mr J of the Jaks declared he had found it and so we could sign and continue on. TFTC!
In my opinion this was by far the best hide of the trail!!! Once it had been found, signed and replaced i looked in the area it was hidden and couldn't pick it out!!!! Great Camo ad great hiding spot!
Weeds! Hate 'em.
Found a friendly hive of bees first off, and give them a wide berth. Fortunately the cache is not near them.
Thanks for the cache, McKee Clan

Yay after our DNF the other day and minus 3 dogs.
I am happy to announce a find. I nicely hidden cache that was about 6-7 meters out.
Another creative cache in the series. Glad I had a rat with me today.
cheers and thanks for the cache

Out taking the dogs for a walk today. Well in fact 3 dogs who all wanted in the action at the same time.
Decided looking any further due to the bees, the dogs and allergies.
We have really enjoyed the cache containers and quality of the hides in this series.
Also left cache 26 for next time too as 2 caches to find are better than 1.
Cheers and thanks for the cache

Thanks for the Cache. Found whilst participating in the CITO Little Para #6 Event. Thanks for a great morning, we had a great time.
With a group on the nearby CITO event, nice chatting and caching while the chaotic Easter return traffic was a decent distance away. A lot of effort into the container for this one, so deserves a favourite point.
Will definately be back to continue the trail.. Thanks McKee's - great job on the trail and the event
