It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I leave Boddington tomorrow so today, I took a lovely country drive to the mines, Quindanning, Williams and Wandering to collect some of the caches near the LGA series that I skipped during my big run on the series, plus some extra ones that I wanted (i.e. virtual and AL). Walked around the restoration area and made a quick find at GZ. What a big 'un! Alas, TNLNSL, I'll leave the swaps for others. TFTC!
The perfect cache for travellers towing.. huge parking, a big dry container and today no one else here. It was still raining but I can't hold the CO accountable for that. ?? TFT great C Fernweh*.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 44 - Wandering to Collie via Boddington. On a very overcast day, with a bit of a mist about in the morning I headed off from Wandering. The cluster of caches at Crossman was first, then a difficult but interesting look around Boddington. Plenty of interesting artwork to see and after three shops, I found a morning snack. I visited a few cemetery caches and the did some more LGA caches to flesh out the days caching. The last cache was a tribute to mining and done just before arriving in Collie to get set up and go and have a look around town. I did a bit of a bit loop until my gps settled and was happy to find this good sized cache. Thanks for the cache Fernweh*47568.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Blue Switch 2023 A#524**Albida**
Found with Aquilus1 on our fabulous week in WA. 'Not a caching trip, its a holiday' I was led to believe, yet we did seem to stop quite a lot in odd and out of the way places! Always an adventure with her!!! Thanks for you cache as we pass through and see more of this fab SW corner of the state.
I do love a large cache so great to stop in here for this one! A huge parking bay, parking was never an issue here! A nice large cache soon found!
Thank you for the cache. Some lovely wildflowers in this spot. Quick find on our way to the Porongurups.
Great little cache of you need to stretch your legs during a big drive. Please try to keep off reservation site - you can access the area with the cache by going around the left side of the newly my bed part - but not the right as you will end up trampling some of the RS. TFTC
Today Taurus Six and I are heading to Narrogin , via a round about route to join the WAGB 2023 geocaching weekend. We needed to work first thing this morning, so once all necessary matters were dealt with we finally got away late morning. It was a nice drive through Collie on to Williams on this sunny and chilly day. Our aim on day one was to collect some of the Albany highway caches between Williams and Crossman before heading to Wandering and then circling our way back to Narrogin.

Heading down to Albany for a few days and of course taking the opportunity to pick up a few caches on the way This was one that I stopped off at. There has been some landscaping completed here and the area between the parking bay and GZ is now sign-posted as a revegetation area. GZ can still be reached without crossing this zone - provided you walk around far enough. It was a nice quick find once I got to GZ - no problems here today. TFTC
Tftc nice spot log book is damp and could do with a dry out but still able to sign
Nice detour after doing LGA series before heading back to Boddington. Nice to see large caches are not dead.
Thanks for the hide

Currently a construction area but I couldn’t help myself and I snuck in and grabbed this one quickly tftc! In good condition
As previously noted this cache is in a construction zone. Perhaps it should be disabled until the major road and rest area constructions have been finished.

While we were out scouting around the area and looking for caches with ilook4geo, this cache was put on the program. It was an easy find, especially as we had decided to stay here for the night and this cache was located less than 40 metres away. All was good with the cache container and contents. The log was signed with both names and then returned to its proper place. We took the TB to move it along as we travel. Thank you to Littlelisa22 for putting this cache into play.
Having a lovely day out caching today with goingplaces2 and having a lot of fun. This was one of the caches we found and we signed the log. All good with this cache. TFTC.
Heading back down to do a sixth trip to LGA territory, this is one I collected on the way. Quick find. TFTC
Went to Albany for overnight. Celebrity for PMDown's anniversary wedding.

As to plan we headed out to Boddington with neva2old to make a start on the LGA series and a couple others on the map too. An early start with hitting the road at 3am and claiming our first smiley at 4.40am and our last at 7.40pm. We spent an hour in Boddington....... coffee...... we needed coffee !! One car, we worked as a team and we went to every cache together. Finding our rhythm, we were signing a log every 2 minutes, an average of 30 finds every hour, we were on a roll. We had one DNF for the day and a massive 435 finds, WOW we are ecstatic and exhaustion has set in but it was well worth the effort. We will head out in the near future to claim the remainder of the LGA Series. Thanks to everyone involved in placing the caches around Boddington, TFTC
pug002 found it 21/11/2017 on our last day before we leave tomorrow. TFTC Fernweh*.
As we road trip our way to Rockingham from Sydney via Perth and Albany for WA Goes Big next weekend, we stopped at a few of the caches on our way south today. We have this 'thing' that was introduced to us by Calypso62, called 'cow for the day'. His theory is that every day you will automatically, and without trying, see a 'cow' - the shape of a cow. Think about it, on your milk bottle or your packet of steak from the supermarket never mind the paddocks, tv, books... I chose today's cow to be the cow figurine inside this good-sized (but not sure it's a large) cache!
Out and about today with SVKR_WA grabbing a few smileys here and there. Another quick find here in the fresh morning air.
Fernweh* I found your cache at 7:46am, this was the 2nd of 5 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 4042. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Spent a lovely cool Thursday off amongst clear blue skies in the bush with Barnzy12 chasing down some elusive caches that have always escaped the radar around the rural towns of dwarda, boddington, wandering and a few others.
We had our eyes on nabbing a FTF son a cache in wandering which we had noticed was available on Monday evening but decided to leave the chase for today, we figured people wouldn't be crazy enough to go for it on a weekday and luckily we were rewarded there.
We continued around finding a bunch of other caches around wandering before moving to codjadotine and then venturing grabbing various bush caches which really was the order of the day with some nice walks through pristine untouched bush.
We continued around with one of us having to get the shoes off and the feet wet to grab a nice t3 cache and collected a few more caches that have been very unloved (twelve plus months) which was nice.
We managed to cleanup a number of caches today which helped our stats page out heaps! We filled in a jasmer grid with the fire lookout dryandra cache, a large with the adventure out mystery cache, a FTF and even some unloved caches with a total of two years unloved found today which is always a pleasure.
Thanks for making us stop and slow down to explore an area of Western Australia we have travelled many many a time but never stopped to fully explore and appreciate. Some individual comments in the logs. Thanks go to the local COs for a great day out.

Hi there Fernweh*.
We found your cache **"bodo turnoff"** at 2:30:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 15584).
We started the day off by moving our caravan to Williams. Then we spent the afternoon traveling up and down the Albany Highway logging 'caches.. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
We found 21 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape, but **the listed trackable "Cachekinz - Legendary Series" is not in the cache, could Fernweh* (or the Trackable owner) please "Mark the Item as Missing" so it can be removed from the cache inventory.** (This option is under Actions on the trackable's web page).
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
**Dropped Trackable:** "Traveling Triceratops".
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
