Visited today with a replacement cache at the ready but GZ is looking shabby so I decided it no longer merits a cache. Apologies to those intending to do the cache and thanks to those who have found it earlier.
The one at the top of the hill should still be there but not found for a while - not enough time to check on it today and weather looking nasty for the next day or two!

Cache is missing. Thanks waiiti20 for letting me know. I hope to replace it quite soon.
Had recce'd the cache-hide a few days previously while doing Konini Reservoir. Could tell someone had been there between my last visit and this morning. Yet another early morning raid into the 'Nui on my way to work - keeping the streak alive. Possibly my last in-country for August.
TFTC!

With a gap in the heavy rain we have had in the past 24hrs I streaked out to find the Cache. It is dry and back in it's place. SL TFTC
Our second of 10 Wainui caches. I spent many years living in Wainui so it was a nostalgic caching day. I used to use this track for running so was familiar with the track. The bottom section has changed a lot. Cache was found easily. TFTC.
Knew this one would be a nice easy find so ideal for the 31 days of geocaching souvenir. TFTC
Will check. Might have been just hard to spot in the dark but better safe than sorry.
Cache is there, seems the camo was too effective in this instance!
However the reason for the title of this cache has been obliterated by vandals so I will need to update it.

Hi,
Came up here last night with a torch. The cache sounded straightforward, however after about 10 mins looking high & low I decided to move on. Any chance you can check it?

Could spot the GZ from the car park - ~160m away!
Had to get closer for 1SportDude to have a climb, and find the cache.

Cache check and TB visit, all OK.
Note that the "Trespassers will be prosecuted" sign only applies to those not observing the prohibition for motor vehicles, this is a public track and you can legitimately climb over the barrier just before the cache.

My 5th. Third time lucky! I was becomming a regular on this track! For those that have been here, the area to the left of the track on the way up has been cleared of the blackberry and gorse, getting ready for housing development. Could make this spot even harder to get at without being muggled. TFTC.
I wondered whether any change was needed to the difficulty rating, but I think 2 reflects it pretty well.
Thumbs up to the finders!

Cache #923 - this one was a little tougher than I expected. Had to pass by it first on the way to Making Tracks Konini, as another walker was just behind me. Then it took me a while to find it on the way back. Well hidden. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Dipping a TB on the way to dropping it off at Konini Reservoir cache.
All in good order, despite some muggles having left their soft drink bottles nearby with some drink still in them., seems they didn't spot the cache fortunately. CITO conducted.

This cache didn't feature in my plans today. I decided the reservoir would be my first and I didn't even realise this one was on the way until I started the ascent.
I, too, noticed the signs of muggle activity here. I don't think you need to be concerned, Rob. You have chosen a good hiding spot and I think you would be unlucky if the cache disappeared.

Thumbs up to robnzh for this neat little hide. Found quickly, log book signed and cache secured back in position.
This took us ages but I imagine it could have been found quickly if I'd looked properly in the first place. I think I actually checked out the hidey-hole of the cache but missed it first time around. Some 20-30 minutes later, on the point of giving up, I finally located it. Very pleased not to record a DNF! TFTC.
#3641. Thumbs up, but no hitchhiking here. Yeah a few walkers were about, but fortunately not while we were at GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC.
TFTC 31 degrees c today made the climb hot going nice cache i was going to try for another but gave it away to warm
I was nearly home after finding Konini Reservoir when the better half of CachingInNZ gave me a call and sent me back to pretty much the same spot to find this one. I searched for a moment before seeing the spot. A neat location for a cache.

This was the last cache of the afternoon, as we didn't have time to walk up to the reservoir for the other new listing.
Had spotted this feature when we walked up the track before, definitely deserves a cache placement. Thumbs up from me! TFTC.

#4529. We figured we'd be too late for an FTF on this one, so went for a couple of FTFs, during which time we picked up the CO and took him to visit a number of caches (most of them were his). This was the last of the afternoon. Quick find by Troodles. TFTC.
