As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Should it be replaced, Geocaches shouldnt be on Power boxes either.

Not sure if this is a find or not. There was no cache just the Velcro remains. I'm not a Shortland Street fan so I hadn't seen this church before. Thanks for your cache
Found however cache has disappeared (only Velcro tab remains where cache once was).
Definitely needs maintenance and checking by CO.
Beautiful church

Beautiful church
Log book is completely soaked. Probably needs a more waterproof option. But good find
Saturday rather than Sunday so even though there was a car parked up in the driveway we didn't see anyone about so no problems for us in having a look about for the cache. As it was, the cache is not hard to find but had a few more problems getting the wet log out of the cache, obviously gets a bit of rain through here. Got there in the end and drained out a little bit of water - log is wet but still managed to sign it alright. Popped it back and then put the cache back in place.
It's many years since I was a Shortland Street watcher so I couldn't say what wedding this was used for - I can see why it would make a good location for the TV shoot as it is a very pretty little church. Thanks for the cache.

Was in the area so had to come and grab this one. Nice quick PnG but the log is saturated. Still managed to sign it tho. TFTC
#3988. The last day of my short visit to Auckland and closing in on 4000 finds. Decided a trip up north was in order to pick up a special cache. Just needed to find 14 other caches on the way. Nice country church. This one was a quick find. Did seem rather exposed to muggles where placed. Hopefully they don't notice it. The logbook was damp but managed to sign OK. Replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache.
I joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 today and headed out to Atiu Creek Regional Park for a days caching. After several hours caching in the Regional Park and around the Okahukura Peninsula, we then headed back to Auckland and found a few more caches along the way. A nice park and grab here, TFTC!
I didn't realise until I got home today that I had been here before back in 2015 and logged a DNF! Well, the cache has obviously been replaced since I found it today with no problem at all! Time to move on, nice to have a day off work to cache in this area. The rain is coming and going but no problem at all.
#107 tried to stop here on the way up to Wellsford but was thwarted by a muggle car in the driveway. Pulled in on the way back to no such problem and a nice easy cache was quickly in hand. All is well, beautiful building, can see why it was used on Shortland St! TFTC
I haven't been having much success in this area so it was nice to finally be successful.
Was detoured out this way, so an excellent chance to pick up a few western caches. A quick find, Cheers.
Next part of the holiday, up to Whangarei and points North. Time to find a few little boxes.....
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

I was in the area after finding the new cache up on Alpine Rd. I had spotted Kiwiscot on my way up there so had given them a call on the way back down. We were both planning on stopping here so we decided to meet here for a bit of a catch up. Cache ended up being a super quick find. We barely paused our conversation to make the find. Cheers for the cache placement!
After making the FTF at a nearby cache on Alpine Rd we passed Lost Course on the way out. After a quick word on the phone we met up for a catch-up and cache. No problems here. Lost Course had found, signed and returned the cache without us really even noticing. Sorry we must have missed this episode of Shortland Street. In fact if we have actually even watched any episodes they have been permantly erased from our memories. Were not in Guatemala now Dr. Ropata....... Ahh damn! Mind wipe seems to have failed.
#461. My last attempt at this one was 14 Sep 2013; I had brought my Mum with me who was very excited at finding her first geocache but alas we couldn't find this one, which was a bit disappointing. Turns out we weren't blind - it had actually been muggled, which of course sometimes happens.
Today, we went back past, and my Mum made a very quick find! I think this is Mum's 3rd geocache now, but she doesn't have an account! Must really convince her to sign up for one.
Thank you very much for the cache!

(1993) Passing through the area, so could resist this small detour to pick this cache up. Found it on the ground, so sign the log and reattached to it Velcro home. TFTC
Mr Patoto had a reunion in Makarau so made a 3 day weekend of it. I had planned to find 19 geocaches. Some on the way up and and rest on way back. #8. Stopped by the pub and walked up to the church. No service on so Mr P took photos while I looked for and found cache. SL. The velcro isn't working. Found sitting on a lip and put back in same spot. TFTC.
Heading home from a long weekend this was available as a quick stop and grab. A straight forward find but there was a lot of traffic on the road and it was building in volume. But where this was located was away from prying eyes and not too busy.
Out and about for an explore this afternoon, picking up some caches along the way. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
As below. Had a feeling my result would be the same as those before me, but had not visited this beautiful historic church so all good.
No find for us here. Found the velco strip at the back, but no container. We were being watched quite carefully by a worker in the yard across the road .

Well, todays weather forecast was for rain, all day, and they got it right. Very right indeed. I don't know about a cache mobile, today a waka would have been more fitting or even an ark. Got enough piggies and puppies to exceed the two by two rule too.
Target for today was a couple of letterboxes, a few unique Southern minutes of degrees for a challenge cache I'm creeping ever closer to achieving and anything else that I decided to stop in the pouring rain to try and write and get every single drop of rain down my neck.
Onto the main business of the day. Head along the linking road up to Kaipara Road then back down SH1 via Warkworth and some other places.
Nice easy qwik diversion off the main road and replaced as found

Out today with a muggle friend to tramp up Mt Auckland. Quick find driving north. TFTC
Had wanted to visit this previously, but the cache was missing, so was pleased to see it had been replaced. Today took a quick detour after our weekend away to make the find. Walked past it, but then looked back, and found what I was looking for. Thanks for the hide.
Home ward bound after a busy caching weekend with Rustynz, cache number 44 so far. Took my friendly moo cow for a country outting Tftc.
Found with Redants while on our Far North Road Trip to the Winterless North. We found ourselves in some interesting places that we would not have visited had we not been searching for caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.
Redants found it while I was walking around the church. TFTC.

We found this cache on a 2 week trip around Northland, visiting such locations as Opononi, Kaitaia, Cape Reinga, Russell, among many other places. Interesting church, TFTC
We were up in the area picking up some carded wool, so I got to stop for this cache. TFTC.
Had completely forgotten to grab a cache in nz while home. Turned on the gps and found this nice quick drive by so managed to add a smilie before jumping on a plane tonight. Tftc
Heading south today finding caches as we travelled along the roads of NZ.
There were some great scenic locations, the country side so lush & green.
Thanks for placing this cache Ig'nMig
Was driving home and decided to grab some caches inbetween showers. This was a quick park and grab with no muggles near. Thanks for the cache
A quick find while caching in the area as the rains started coming down. Thanks!
Yeah! Another local cache ticked off our list. Thank you for replacing it.

A brand new cache and log and I can't even have a FTF - doubt that I'll get one of those with the super keen sleuths in the area. Glad this one was here when we came past today - hadn't planned on coming here and then found it had only been replaced last week so we were lucky we weren't here before that and can chalk up another find. Thanks Ig'nMig.
