Reperio 19:04Up early again this morning for a full day of caching around the Yass and Goulburn area, and fortunately the rain that hung around all day yesterday had mostly passed by. While the ground was still pretty wet, most of the caches were found in good order, which contributed to another great day caching in the area.Gratias The BushiesAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Couldnt find it more hint pleas

04-Aug-24
We parked in front of the gate even though it was open as we considered it rude to drive in a cemetery. So hoping that no other car would want to enter we quickly made our way to the coordinates and luckily found it quite quickly with help of the hint and past log. Thanks for the cache!Found with TC216.

Love visiting old graveyards as I used to live near one. I find them places of reflection. Cache quickly found. Thank you The Bushies for the cache and the fun!

I'm pretty sure I have actually looked for this cache with DSD before. I have vivid memory's of entering this cemetery, and crossing the fence to search for itBut I think we only spent about 2 minutes looking before giving up as we were on a time constraint and had bigger goals, so didn't log a DNF as our search wasn't very thorough.Oh well, back today and it was a quick find. Over the fence was correct, but turns out I had interpreted the hint incorrectly last time AND this time, until I read it more carefully. Not twin trees, but twin TRUNKS. Ahhhhhhhh. Easy find once you have the hint understood correctly, we really shouldn't have missed this last time, but gave up when we couldn't find twin trees, LOLTFTC Bushies

Found this one on my way out from the lookout. Nice peaceful place on a warm day, and I spotted a distinctive WWI headstone (not pictured). Ahh the random knowledge you gain from caching.

Over this Christmas and New Year break I'm heading to Adelaide to grab old caches, fill in my JASMER, and pick up assorted other rareish caches.

TFTC!

A lovely stopping point and break on our day trip to and from Sydney today.
This was a quick find once we had jumped the fence!
We then took a few minutes to walk around the cemetery and look at some history here.

Coords made it look like it was inside the cemetery , description too!?

Took a while as I triple searched all the spots iside before even considering the other side of the fence. After that, and after finding a way over the fence, found it quickly.

Having to go on a spontaneous drive towards Sydney to pick up some stranded memeber of the family I thought I should use my spare half an hour to do some caches in an area I rarely get the time to cache.

Thank you The Bushies for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

With GreyHams we set off for an solid day of caching at a respectably early hour. Starting off local with a number of ladder climbs well overdue for finds and then off down the hwy for a series of challenge caches, puzzles and a few others as we passed. The virtual near Tallong was an unexpected delight, what an amazing location and an absolute highlight!

Flooding and closed creek crossings had a slight change to the route a few times but worked in our favour so no problems navigating it out. A bit of a cold grey day best for a day of caches like the ones we had targeted and as always an enjoyable day! Caches all found in good condition, on or close enough to the coordinates for easy finds, thanks for the cache!

Love old cemeteries, love the history they tell.

08-Aug-21
I loved Tallong, such a pretty little town

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spent the day with Aquilus1 grabbing ladder caches near Mulligans before moving onto Goulburn to sign Challenge caches. Swollen rivers and closed roads made things a little interesting, but nothing too dramatic. Was amazed at the amazing views from the virtual south of Tallong, everyone should do that cache! Drive home even included a few labs and avenging a Wherigo FTF missed...in the dark.

Stopped here after the great views of Long Point. It was getting very cold by now, but a country cemetery beckons... there are always poignant moments. And here if you wander through and out beyond the second gate, a small, fenced grave, for a young, three year old child. Cemeteries are very real, grounding, confronting, humbling.
Found the newly installed replacement cache, and took a darling little pathtag to add to my small collection of such. TFTC The Bushies

After a busy December / January, we decided a trip to the highlands was in order. So after an early start, with Rapidlywild doing the driving honours we headed up the highway. A bit of rain made it quite pleasant, and the sun brought a bit of humidity, but it was a great day. We grabbed a couple of the trails, and was surprised on containers, some took a bit longer to locate than others. Thanks RW for a great day, and thanks to all the CO for the placements, we enjoyed collecting them.

Thanks The Bushies

Have got a couple of LKA's glad to ge ttbis one as the day is drawing to a close. Like previous finders we needed to rethink our approach. Tftc

Quick find back to the car. Freezing even though the sun is out.

26-Jun-18
Found while taking a break from the drive. I parked near the gate and headed towards GZ. There was a bit of activity going on at a neighbouring property but I doubt they'd have seen me. I decided which side of the fence I ought to be on and started my search. Soon I had CIH. Then back to the car to continue the drive. TFTC.

F(H)ound it! #2666 @ 10:25 AM

I came up to Wingello before sun-up to check out some dog sports happening in the forest today. Picked up a few caches in Wingello and along Highland Way on the way home.

The little blue arrow was not cooperating for this find first it was 8m this way and then 25m that way. Thanks to previous logs I knew which side of the fence I should be. Turns out there are quite a few spots that match the hint. Of course I found a much easier route back to the car after the find as there is a gate up the back.

Thanks for the cache, Bushies

#8181 - 16:55; I was on my way to Bowral for a meeting and decided to take the back road from Marulan and pick up a few caches along the way. Parked at the gate to the cemetery and found myself on the wrong side of the fence to start with. Out through the back gate and around to GZ, I soon had the cache in hand and the log signed. Having spent a nervous week waiting for results of my sister who is in hospital in Qld I've struck out to get a few caches and clear my head.
The day started out beautiful and clear but has come over a little cloudy. Hopefully rain will hold off as I make my way towards the coast.

It's always interesting to see old graveyards and to wonder what happened to all burtied here. My gps took me on quite an extended walk without settling anywhere. As I got closer however the cache hiding place became obvious.

This cache was quickly found in good condition.

#1475 on a trip down to Canberra with alnic39 was looking at the caches a long the way while waiting for teamMerlin & Splitty Miller JJCC to catch up. Al said he wanted to do this one as he liked the idea of the caches. Went to where GPSr said was GZ but couldn't find what we were looking for. Al read a log said we were on the wrong side so he hoped over and soon had the cache

Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache The Bushies

Amazing how much vacant space there seems to be in this cemetery, and then we discovered that it is even larger than it first appears, with graves on the other side of what we thought was the boundary fence. A quick find once we were in the right spot.

Thanks Smile

05-Nov-17
There were graves at the front of the cemetery, and then a few bunched up in the corner at the back. Most of the cemetery was bare. We wondered whether the local council thought the area might have been more prosperous when they allocated the land. When we got to that corner we could find nothing. Our GPS wanted us across the fence, even though the cache was meant to be in the cemetery. There were graves outside the cemetery fence, so we wondered whether the cemetery allotment was larger than we realised. We walked out another gate and followed the GPS to a rather easy find. Thanks

Found 12:23 pm with geodaughter. I needed to head back to the coast from Canberra. I had been wanting to grab the caches along this road for some time after driving past this location so many times all those times being quite late and in the dark. This time decided to take the time out and grab the caches in the area. I am glad that I did, the lookouts nearby are awesome. Also this particular cache may have been a bit spooky to do at night. Anyway briefly peered at a couple of the inscriptions as I headed to GZ after parking the geovehicle near the entrance. The geodaughter remained in the car. Located GZ and the cache pretty quickly and then signed the log and rehid the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

With all day to travel to Sydney, Mrs Big Dad and I decided to grab some caches off the highway. This was number 4 of 13.

Another in the L.K.A. series for us. Only a few to go, and one more in today's trip. This is the least 'populated' cemetery we've seen for it's area. It was very interesting to compare the two Commonwealth Graves Commission servicemen's grave here - the older cast grey concrete the other the white more durable material we usually see. I guess they were running a bit short of cash between the
'War to end all wars' and the next war that ended in a way that was so terrifying that war would no longer be an option for nations to settle their disagreements. Yeah, right! TFTC, Bushies.
