Found this with AUSHAZ and also found the cache further placed and damaged, maybe by a possum or something.
Tftc, Owner should check.
Tftc, Owner should check.
Had a long search before locating the cache exposed and damaged quite a few meters away from GZ. I have placed the cache in a hollowing in the log boundary for the owner to check on.

Cool spot! I hope the wood doesn’t rot too much so it becomes exposed. Thanks for the cache.
I was just about to give up when i spotted something out of the corner of my eye. Found with Luky and without Tom.
Btw do not trust the gps as the cache is about 5-10 metres off the gps location.
Thanks

There was a homeless guy sitting pretty much on top of where the cache should be, we'll try again some other time

Thanks for the heads up JazzVali. There was indeed a strange guy asleep virtually on the cache. Two well dressed (?social workers, church outreachers) woke him as I watched but he told them to bugger off so they did. He wandered off too, and I got the cache. Later, as I sat on the curb up the main road supping a $1 coffee from the local servo (not bad actually), he reappeared and bought lunch, so I guess he must be ok.
TFTC MissPercyDarcy for this little adventure. Turtles are cool... even if global warming seems to be heating them up into all hatching female, or whatever I was reading in the paper the other day.
Oh and PS... this was my 1000th find! YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the way back from Dee Why beach we desided to look for some caches. This was the first one. Quickly found.
TFTC and greetings from Finland!
TFTC and greetings from Finland!
Have eyed this one for an age but never ended up in Dee Why.
Today parked in the cul de sac and walked to GZ where an easy find was made. Always like this kind of cache - excellent for new cachers.
Log is tattered but aside from that cache is in good condition
Thanks!

It's been a while since I've needed to make a find to meet my goal of five finds per calendar day by the end of the year. And while I don't need a find today, this is one of the days where I currently *only* have five finds. So, in the spirit of grossly overdoing things, I thought I'd go for a swag-load of finds today.
Settled on the coast walk from Dee Why to Long Reef, which, with one other nearby cache, had seven traditionals ripe for the picking.
Unfortunately I only picked up six of them, plus the Earthcache nearby. But it was a really nice afternoon walk, despite the spots next to the lagoon where the track was totally submerged.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well, since the local council wants $7 per hour to park near the beaches, I instead parked near this cache and started my walk.
Quick find - identified the right spot on approach and made the grab.
Took out of the line of sight of a few workers nearby to complte signing duties, then back for the replace.

Don't understand what it has to do with a turtle but a quick park and grab anyway. Tftc
A quick easy find. Thanks MissPercyDarcy for getting us to take a pleasant walk along the track on a rather windy afternoon.
A beautiful sunny day ! Perfect for geobiking along the coast.

Managed to find a parking spot not too far away on the side street and walked in chewing a banana for sustenance. Spotted the hide from a few meters away so sat on the log to sign it. Then put it back a little bit further in to make it slightly less obvious to passing muggles but still an easy find for anyone with any geocaching experience. Thanks MissPercyDarcy.
Found it quickly, but reached in and pulled out a HUGE wolf spider with it. Careful where you put your hands! Also no pencil so bring a writing tool.
A quick and easy find here!
However I think this is the cache that had a million pieces of paper in it, with names written in random places as it is hard to tell which paper to write on as they all have blank spaces! Might need them all removed and replaced with a single, proper logbook to avoid confusion.
Thanks!

After finding the Minecraft series final, I had a bit more time up my sleeve to collect some more smileys. This was the first target and I was able to spot it in the first place I looked.

I enjoy driving over to BayView Reserve for a nice walk with the Geo-dog fetching balls from the water. Afterwards I decide to drive back along the Northern Beaches, picking up a few caches on the way.
Before stopping at the nearby Coles to get the groceries my wife texted to me, I pulled over for a short walk to Turtle's chest. That was quite an easy find!
Thanks for the cache.
