These are next cab off the rank as far as maintenance goes - sorry, but have been kept busy with a spate of disappearing caches over the summer months.
I guess that I can be called a traditionalist because I really like caches that take you into nice areas. Combine that with nice weather, great company and the thrill of the hunt and it's perfect. The only things I don't do very well are making tricky finds and logging my finds.
I hope that the CO forgives me for a belated generic log because I really enjoyed this little outing and the lovely locations it took me to. Hopefully I'll get back to Mandurah and will get to see this area again.
A fun series and it would be great for kids. (Hmmm, maybe that's why I liked it so much)

Following up log book from find a couple of weeks ago. Pencil added. Log book ok although cache wet.
Muggle partner came with me today so his 'man flu' can't be too bad or the fact was I didn't really give him an option
When I'm going to be this close to water I'd prefer not to cache alone in case of 'accidents'.
I downloaded this series and some around Meadow Springs area as hard to judge the weather until in the area and since it wasn't raining it was this series that was on the hit list for today
Was a lovely walk to gz and a quick find by me in an obvious spot
Five down, and a few more to come

Decided on a trip to Mandurah today, to do some caching.
Many changes have been done in the town, since we lived there.
This is another short series, that we have had our eye on.
We had a fantastic bike ride along the river, and into the wet lands.
All the caches were well hidden and we located all, but 'D'.
Will have another look, on our next trip to Mandurah.
Many thanks for the cache, Mistraluna.

Look for a track close to the water when leaving B, we had to double back, found it in the end TFTC
Found easily along this great walking trail with the x-trailers.
Took trackables to visit.

Second find for the day with the inlaws towing along. Tried to make this as quick a find as possible, because even with bug spray the mosquitos were out in force, and even managed to bite us through thick long pants! They breed them big and tough over here!
Waiting for my wife and so I thought I would have a go at some Mandurah caches that I have had my eye on for a good while. I thought this one would be quicker from the south. Eventually did it from the north. Very convenient space. I'm really enjoying this series Mistraluna. TFTC
I was having a lovely time looking for these caches but when it came to this one I got very confused and went round and around....couldn't find the right track....NO.. having a GPS didn't help.Never mind found it in the end.

Found this one yesterday and didn't have a chance to log. Left a trackable but it was collected before I logged it tftc

This is weekend is the start of my assault to get back on track for 1000 cache finds for the year, To start I thought that I would attack the little critter series after work today,.
Accurate co ords made it fairly easy to find these caches. It does get dark in these parts quickly at this time of night, but my trusty LED torch provided ample light to find the last couple

Thanks Mistaluna for this enjoyable walk and great series . [^]

Went out between showers to find a few caches. This was one we found.
A very nice walk along the lakes edge

[:(!] Did a three day caching run to Mandurah with geowife to incorporate the event being held there "J & J Say G'Day to WA - (GC47DF1)", and picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them, after booking into the Caravan Park near Pinjarra, we were off again in search of more caches, parked the geocar as close as to Little Critters - E (GC43C2K) and rode the push bike from there, on arrival at GZ I had the cache in hand within a couple of minutes.

Headed out today with Holdfast7616 to grab a few caches. Noting the amount of time available to us, I decided to hit this series for maximum fun in the sun!
Hmm, wish we had some recommended parking for this one as we thought we could do it from the same loop as A and B. Not to worry, we figured it out in the end and made the find rather easily. The photo and number were taken for this one
Thanks for the cache Mistraluna
Cheers

Despite it getting on in the afternoon I hoped to have sufficient time to complete this series. And even though most of my blood had already been siphoned off at those recent caches I hoped to be able to survive the distance.
I have never been in these parts before and (despite the flying critters) it was well worth the journey. Thankfully they were mostly easy finds so didn't have to hang about too long as a target for the buzzing missiles, took note of all the necessary info and moved onto the next.
Would have liked to have found the final as well, but by this time was too tired and bitten to try for it in the dusk - with even more mozzies about (if that is possible...) so that will have to wait another day.
Thanks for a great series, Mistraluna - and heed her advice... take mozzie repellant!!

After visiting the thrombolites at Lake Clifton we hightailed it back to Mandurah hoping to complete the nine caches in the Little Critter series. This was our third find. The walking trail along the banks of the Serpentine is well sealed and nice and wide and the scenery is very pleasant. Surprisingly not many muggles using the trail today even though the weather has cooled a little and it is the weekend.
There is some track work being done between C & D in the series but the cache is still nice and safe. So glad we came prepared with mozzie repellant as suggested in the cache description and logs. They buzzed around us for the whole walk but didn't like to land. Phew!!!
Took a photo of the 'critter' and made a note of the number in the cache.
Thanks for the hide Mistraluna [^]

A pleasant afternoon with a nice breeze to keep the mozies away, so ideal conditions to finish off this series after selling more duck race tickets during the day.
Another great riverside walk that we would not have found except for geocaching. The City Council really does a good job at providing this sort of infrastructure, its a pity more people don't use and enjoy it.
The final one on this leg and a quick find in the obvious location. Clues obtained and off on a log leg to H and then the final.
Thanks for the cache & the series Mistraluna [^]

im not sure what i was thinking when i deciced to go out geocaching in 40 degree heat??? I managed to talk geo daughter KRISTYBELLE into coming with me so i filled up the esky with lots of water and headed down to mandurah. Quick find here TFTC Mistraluna
Great idea for a series and an interesting location, but, my goodness it was hot and still in there and the mozzies were ferocious we are still covered in bites. Thanks Mistraluna.
Joined with iluvtrekking for a days caching in Mandurah. Although it was a lovely walk along the river path, the mozzies were ferocious today which took away from the overall enjoyment. Still we pressed on and found all the required 'Little Critters', some of them leaving more of an impression on us.
I parked on the left bank below the Pinjarra Road bridge and set out to do this series on foot from there ... found critters A to H without any drama, but couldn't do the finale because I didn't bring a print-out and my smart-phone battery ran out, so I couldn't access the web-site. doh.
Quick find here after I let my GPSr settle and got to the correct GZ. Signed the log and photographed the critter along with the data. I then took a left turn and headed off toward Critters B, thinking this was the quickest way back ... wrong LOL. I should have studied the map a little bit more closely before setting out ... after realising my mistake, I turned around and eventually realised that I hadn't missed any turn-offs on the way in. TFTH Mistraluna ... I've enjoyed the series thus far and looking forward to coming back for the finale.

All back up and ready to be found. Unexpected high tides due to recent cyclone up north meant a couple of the caches were compromised. Please take care to make sure caches are all securely in their spots and not going to be washed downstream in the next high tide. Thanks
Went out at a more suitable time with the kids today, heat wise far more bearable. Continued with this fun series. As mentioned need plenty of insect repellent. TFTC
Awesome series...I really do enjoy this type of theme...as usual in my haste I did not read descriptions properly and we had to backtrack a little....great paths, highly recommended for bikes and mozzy spray a must......thank you Mistraluna
Generic Log for Little Critters - A through H.
After checking in at the nearby caravan park, Mickeydv and I rode over to complete this series just before 7pm. Despite multiple layers of insect repellent, the mozzies were still out in force so we were grateful that these caches were generally quick finds so we could keep moving on our bikes.
We had to visit the first 4 caches twice since we didn't initially realise we were required to record the type of animal as well as the letter and number. Since we had to ride back on the same system of paths, this was only a minor inconvenience.
The lengthiest find was actually the cache that was most exposed; it was closest to the water and in plain sight, just not where we were looking for it.
The paths are perfect for riding so I'd encourage others looking to complete the series to consider using bikes as a form of transport. It's an efficient way of logging 9 finds well within an hour.
Thanks for this "new" series, it was one of the highlights of our stay in Mandurah.

Still having fun with the series - cycling from cache to cache with the odd stop to take in the view and reminisce about the days we used to kayak up and down here. Another one down and another code captured.
Lots of spots to check for a cache here, as our GPSr's seemed very slow today... We seemed to be walking around in circles until I uncovered another well hidden cache [^] The ants seemed very fond of this spot, so I retreived the cache for Master 3 to open TFTC Mistraluna, another great spot for a cache
Unfortunately wot and I were unable to finish the series last night as he had to be up at 4am for work today.
As I live less than 1km from these caches, I decided to utilize the rest of the unfound ones in the series to work towards my 366 day cache challenge. This gives me an excuse to jump on the deadly peddly to grab 1 of the caches each day.
Today I decided to go with the furthest one away. It was a nice bike ride in the drizzling rain, and the cache was found easily.
I was also on the trail of Luna Maya, as on my way out I passed her as she was getting ready to get back in her car. She was on the phone though, so I didn't stop to say hello
Thanks for the cache, and giving me an excuse to get out on the bike each day, Mistraluna!

Another excellent hide in this series. Sorry we did not get to say hello Moonlightz. Teamwork again with Jasenjanine and her sons. SL TFTC Mistraluna

Nice little walk along the river to this one. Found without problems. I took the rest of the loop to return back north again to the car. Pity the walk doesn't continue down over the inlet to the other path. *FTF* with Chwiliwr
Thanks Mistraluna for the cache.
