These are next cab off the rank as far as maintenance goes - sorry, but have been kept busy with a spate of disappearing caches over the summer months.
I guess that I can be called a traditionalist because I really like caches that take you into nice areas. Combine that with nice weather, great company and the thrill of the hunt and it's perfect. The only things I don't do very well are making tricky finds and logging my finds.
I hope that the CO forgives me for a belated generic log because I really enjoyed this little outing and the lovely locations it took me to. Hopefully I'll get back to Mandurah and will get to see this area again.
A fun series and it would be great for kids. (Hmmm, maybe that's why I liked it so much)

Cache wet but log book only slightly damp. Added my last replacement pencil.
Found it OK after going for a kayak paddle with the Mandurah Over 55's group. SL TN LN. TFTC.
This was a fun one to get to with miss 5 and master 6... Thanks for the find...
Muggle partner came with me today so his 'man flu' can't be too bad or the fact was I didn't really give him an option
When I'm going to be this close to water I'd prefer not to cache alone in case of 'accidents'.
I downloaded this series and some around Meadow Springs area as hard to judge the weather until in the area and since it wasn't raining it was this series that was on the hit list for today
Was a lovely walk to gz from Critter F. This one took a little longer to find and my GPS had me 8m out
Found cache with the log book sitting under it in a ziplock bag not in it but cache had a little bit of water inside. Put everything in and covered well
Seven down, and only one more to come plus the Finale but sky isn't looking great

Doing a loop trip to Mandurah and back with Barjgods and Geogypsys today, with a trip along the scenic river with great views, watching people crabbing and fishing in the river. TFTC.
Decided on a trip to Mandurah today, to do some caching.
Many changes have been done in the town, since we lived there.
This is another short series, that we have had our eye on.
We had a fantastic bike ride along the river, and into the wet lands.
All the caches were well hidden and we located all, but 'D'.
Will have another look, on our next trip to Mandurah.
Many thanks for the cache, Mistraluna.

Found after a short search. Cache wet, but log is only slightly damp as it's double sealed in zip locks. Dried cache as best we could and placed a silicon sachet thingo in the container. Replaced exactly as found. SL TFTC.
Nice walk. The kids and I like the bird and bat boxes they have in the large Tuarts through here.
Found on an early morning walk with the x-trailers.
Not many mozzies out today due to the rain no doubt.
Took trackables to visit.

Very happy to discover a new trail of caches near our relative's house while visiting this weekend! A lovely walk along the river to find a couple of the caches tonight.
Love the photos that the latest finders are adding, but can't contact them via the usual system for some reason, so can't let them know that they need to upload their images with their existing find log.
At least I got to find one in my busy schedule. In Mandurah for the geowife to visit the doctor and persuaded her that we needed drive down here to see the view. Will get to the rest of them one day. TFTH Mistraluna.

This is weekend is the start of my assault to get back on track for 1000 cache finds for the year, To start I thought that I would attack the little critter series after work today,.
Accurate co ords made it fairly easy to find these caches. It does get dark in these parts quickly at this time of night, but my trusty LED torch provided ample light to find the last couple

Thanks Mistaluna for this enjoyable walk and great series . [^]

[:(!] Did a three day caching run to Mandurah with geowife to incorporate the event being held there "J & J Say G'Day to WA - (GC47DF1)", and picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them, after booking into the Caravan Park near Pinjarra, we were off again in search of more caches, parked the geocar as close as to Little Critters - E (GC43C2K) and rode the push bike from there, on arrival at GZ I had the cache in hand within a couple of minutes.

Headed out today with Holdfast7616 to grab a few caches. Noting the amount of time available to us, I decided to hit this series for maximum fun in the sun!
Down from H to G and the cache was soon in hand. Photo taken, number logged and away we went.
Thanks for the cache Mistraluna
Cheers

Despite it getting on in the afternoon I hoped to have sufficient time to complete this series. And even though most of my blood had already been siphoned off at those recent caches I hoped to be able to survive the distance.
I have never been in these parts before and (despite the flying critters) it was well worth the journey. Thankfully they were mostly easy finds so didn't have to hang about too long as a target for the buzzing missiles, took note of all the necessary info and moved onto the next.
Would have liked to have found the final as well, but by this time was too tired and bitten to try for it in the dusk - with even more mozzies about (if that is possible...) so that will have to wait another day.
Thanks for a great series, Mistraluna - and heed her advice... take mozzie repellant!!

After visiting the thrombolites at Lake Clifton we hightailed it back to Mandurah hoping to complete the nine caches in the Little Critter series. The walking trail along the banks of the Serpentine is well sealed and nice and wide and the scenery is very pleasant. Surprisingly not many muggles using the trail today even though the weather has cooled a little and it is the weekend.
Took a photo of the 'critter' and made a note of the number in the cache. Number seven down now...
Thanks for the hide Mistraluna [^]

A pleasant afternoon with a nice breeze to keep the mozies away, so ideal conditions to finish off this series after selling more duck race tickets during the day.
Another great riverside walk that we would not have found except for geocaching. The City Council really does a good job at providing this sort of infrastructure, its a pity more people don't use and enjoy it.
A quick find and clues obtained and off to the next one.
Thanks for the cache & the series Mistraluna [^]

im not sure what i was thinking when i deciced to go out geocaching in 40 degree heat??? I managed to talk geo daughter KRISTYBELLE into coming with me so i filled up the esky with lots of water and headed down to mandurah. A quick find at this one TFTC Mistraluna
Great idea for a series and an interesting location, but, my goodness it was hot and still in there and the mozzies were ferocious we are still covered in bites. Thanks Mistraluna.
Joined with iluvtrekking for a days caching in Mandurah. Although it was a lovely walk along the river path, the mozzies were ferocious today which took away from the overall enjoyment. Still we pressed on and found all the required 'Little Critters', some of them leaving more of an impression on us.
I parked on the left bank below the Pinjarra Road bridge and set out to do this series on foot from there ... found critters A to H without any drama, but couldn't do the finale because I didn't bring a print-out and my smart-phone battery ran out, so I couldn't access the web-site. doh.
Spent a few minutes looking in some wrong places here, then spotted a likely looking spot and soon had the cache in hand. Signed the log and photographed the critter along with the data. TFTH Mistraluna

All back up and ready to be found. Unexpected high tides due to recent cyclone up north meant a couple of the caches were compromised. Please take care to make sure caches are all securely in their spots and not going to be washed downstream in the next high tide. Thanks
This one had plenty of muggle interference, nearby residents on balconies, kayaker AGAIN lol and people crabbing. Think we used enough stealth though, nice hide. The pencil is missing? We had a pen though so all good. New to this so not sure if I should have logged this find as "needs maintenance"? advice on this would be appreciated. TFTC
Awesome series...I really do enjoy this type of theme...as usual in my haste I did not read descriptions properly and we had to backtrack a little....great paths, highly recommended for bikes and mozzy spray a must......thank you Mistraluna
Generic Log for Little Critters - A through H.
After checking in at the nearby caravan park, Mickeydv and I rode over to complete this series just before 7pm. Despite multiple layers of insect repellent, the mozzies were still out in force so we were grateful that these caches were generally quick finds so we could keep moving on our bikes.
We had to visit the first 4 caches twice since we didn't initially realise we were required to record the type of animal as well as the letter and number. Since we had to ride back on the same system of paths, this was only a minor inconvenience.
The lengthiest find was actually the cache that was most exposed; it was closest to the water and in plain sight, just not where we were looking for it.
The paths are perfect for riding so I'd encourage others looking to complete the series to consider using bikes as a form of transport. It's an efficient way of logging 9 finds well within an hour.
Thanks for this "new" series, it was one of the highlights of our stay in Mandurah.

We returned today to finish this series, starting with Little Critter G. Out and about early before the day becomes too hot. Found quickly by Jasenjanine. TFTC Mistraluna
Luna Maya and I parked nearby to here, and headed along the path to GZ. We met a friendly man who told us about the tree nearby that got struck by lightning and he also showed us his catch of crabs Dylan was fascinated. The cache was far enough away for us to search unnoticed, and was soon found after examining another spot first
TFTC Mistraluna, we could not wait to come back to complete the series (Especially Dylan) [^]

Now we were dancing and it wasn't because we found the cache! There was much talk about how long our immune systems would have remembered that we had been bitten by mozzies in Mandurah before. Again a dash to the bikes and out into the sunshine to get rid of them all..
Fantastic to know that there are now some caches along one of our favourite places to have a paddle in the kayak. Nice quick find, our first in the series. Thanks Mistraluna!
(catch up log as part of chwiliwr team)
Next in the series and a quick find once Chwiliwr got the right GZ from the GPS.
Thanks Mistraluna for the cache.
