Sorry, unable to get this one up and running again, the environment has changed too much.
I went to check on this cache after the recent DNF. Cache was in place but there has been significant, and regular, garden pruning around here over the last 6 months. The same location is no longer suitable so I have removed the cache for now and am considering my options.
have had this puzzle solved for ages finally had time and was a nice day to stroll down to the park. woke early so there were no muggles around and its international geocaching day today so was really hoping to add a find but couldnt find it.
Got a green tick on the puzzle shortly after it was published but then lost my workings. Had to do a quick re-work at the last minute prior to today's trip and found it was even harder to solve the second time around! A quick find however which was good.

thanks for the puzzle, enjoyed solving it,got stuck on one of the question, but soon sorted it out.tftc
Ahhhh.... Physics...
Luckily this was a lot easier to solve than the usual physics I have to do (and the final question is something I work out daily (and will also help anyone still trying to solve one of my puzzles))
This is a fantastic location for this cache!

Having realised over the last few days that I have double-logged 6 caches over the years I proceeded to dlete the logs and watch the numbers go downwards! Sob! Plus my previous idea of 500th, 600th, 1000th etc also changed to different caches to before!
Tonight was pick up daughter at the airport night and with light quickly fading proceeded to tackle this cache which was MIA last time out
A nice hide at GZ and the log-signing duties completed

A Sunday in Palmy, how lucky could you get. And a perfectly fine, cloudless, windless day to boot. Too good to be true.
We were keen to get to this one. It has proved to be a challenge for us. On our initial visit the park was muggle infested, so we passed this by as it would have been impossible to have conducted a search and retrieve without being watched throughout. Next visit, park was clear, and so was the landscape. We couldn't find the cache. Seems then that it had been muggled. With the CO having replaced the cache we were hoping for an award wining visit today. And so it was.
In fact we got a great deal more than we have bargained on. This is a first for me. Not only did we meet the cache owner, but she supervised our search - in the most ethical of ways I might add, no giveaway clues on this one - and was present at the time we retrieved the cache and signed the log. Thanks stardust718. That was a treat.
The cache has an impressive stash of miniature trinkets, really well done. We signed as the first in the replacement log book, enjoyed a chat with stardust718 and her son and then headed on our way. All very pleasant, very Palmerston North.
TFTC stardust718, and pleased to be logging the find.
Found with team cacher Sweet P too

Been to check on cache. Was unable to find it so new one placed. Same location. Now 100ml container. Bring your own pen.
I'll disable this until I can get in to check on things next week. Sounds like it's gone missing.
Our second visit here.
First time foiled by muggles.
This time no one present and we did a good search. Some funny business happening at GZ, looks like child's play.
Would be pretty sure that is one has gone burger.
Recommend that CO check the cache now.

Been here twice in the last fortnight with no luck. Will need to try again next time we are over
Came here on a weekend trip to the Manawatu. I solved this one easily and got the geochecker tick straight after it was published, I recognised immediately the meaning of the cache name. Found quickly - signed log, TFTC
after helping a friend work out the coords i took my kids for a little play and went looking with a bit of guidance and found it easy thanks Nattramn
What a mission, I think neibours thought I was insane going to the park 6 times to try locate it, but I got it... 4th cache found, but the first one that left me with an ear to ear grin, seeing the effort I put into finding it. Took a frog and left a pet rock...
A few concerns with the calculations, which my 7th form physics teacher would have been embarrassed by but got there in the end easy find on location tftc!
Good to turn another puzzle into a smiley. A nice wee park which was fortunately empty when we arrived. TFTC.
#5954. It was a nice sunny Sunday, and we were worried the park would be busy; luckily it was empty and we quickly found the cache. TFTC.
Great to be out enjoying caching with tmann421

Not too hard to work out the puzzle, found after a bit of searching and a bit of avoiding muggles. Found with jtp2001. TFTC!
Must admit we took a bit of time to get around to doing this one simply because not only is it a puzzle, but it involves maths - not our favourite area's, but it actually wasn't to hard to work out once we took the time to look at it.
We did try to find the cache last time we were in Palmy, but didn't have much time & was struggling in the dark, so left it for a day time visit. No problems today.
Left a pet rock - a swan. TFTC

Used both our brains and just about broke them but we managed to work it out and had the cache in had YAYAYAYAY, - with endmosteye44 took carabina, left fox. TFTH!
A quick early morning find before the 'The Urban CITO Event Challenge' TFTC stardust718
Quickest find ever! As it was sitting out in the open after some hedge trimming. SL and hid it away in a little hole. TFTC Found with Tommygun9
Had solved the puzzle a while ago but on the first visit to the park muggles prevented a search. On the second visit we didn't find the cache at GZ and the kids were more interested in playing on the playground. Noticed that the cache had been found yesterday so decided to give it another crack while in the area. Widened the search area a little and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Struggled for a while with the puzzle - had one answer not quite right. The cache was a nice easy find to make up for this. Thanks.
I hadn't done my puzzle homework before coming up, but Crystal Fairy had. Have subsequently solved it. Nice puzzle. TFTP

One last find before checking into our accomodation. An interesting puzzle for Midi YuGeo to research and solve, many thanks.

Found during a Saturday morning family outing.
Mrs Etherlord came along to have a "non-male look" but I found it a little further along than I had been looking last time.
T4TC and the enjoyable puzzle.

Cache still in place and contents dry. Thanks to all who have solved the puzzle and found the cache.
No luck at filling in a square on the 366-days-of-caching matrix today
The kids playing on the swings when we arrived soon departed and left us with the whole park to ourselves.
My GPSr took me to a very likely area but my searching skills were obviously lacking today... will have to try again.
we had a swing ourselves and as we were about to leave, a teenager arrived with her 12-week old collie which EtherMiss loved! "it's so fluffffffy!!!"

Success at last - and it took about 2 seconds flat this time! Helpful to have had one point confirmed by the cache owner and also to have checked location more carefully on Google Earth before we tried again. We liked the set up of the cache contents themselves - done with careful consideration. For that and the overall concept of this puzzle cache we give a favourite.
As it's a pleasant little park (and to give a cover in case we had problems again), we took a morning tea picnic which we doubly enjoyed - relaxing under a shady tree and with the cache in hand.

The puzzle was straightforward, but finding the cache took a little longer. Found with markhnz. TFTC
Didn't take too long to solve the puzzle after refreshing some of my memory of physics.
Found the cache after a short search.
Thanks.

Checked on cache existence due to 2 DNF's. It's definitely still present standing in it's original position.
I've also reworded question 4 slightly after reviewing peoples initial coordinate attempts. It should make more logical sense now.

I enjoyed this caching adventure. The puzzle was different to any I had attempted before and the subject matter was one that I hadn't looked at since I was at school, mumblety mumble years ago. I couldn't remember any of the information needed so some extensive research was needed. It was good fun doing this as I also picked up plenty of other useful information as I went. After working out some answers, I looked at the coordinates on Google Earth and discovered these were in a feasible location. I then consulted Professor Geocheck who gave me the green tick of approval.
However, my work was not done. I couldn't see any reason for poor GPS reception at this location but my Oregon would not settle. It took a few minutes searching before I had preeciioouus in my hand. I like the idea of putting a guide in the cache; really good to give to a companion to have a quick read when showing them what geocaching is all about. TVMFTC, stardust718.

It also took me a few red crosses to get a green tick. One or two of these were due to dropping a digit when punching buttons on my calculator, but I also think question 4 is unclear as presently worded. It's not clear whether the ? is A (and so the atomic weight is A-1), or the ? is the atomic weight (and so A is the atomic weight minus 1), and the interpretation that makes more sense grammatically doesn't appear to be the one intended. At present it also says to round to two significant figures, which I think should be three?
Anyway. Having found the co-ordinates I tootled along to look for the cache on a sunny blustery New Year's Eve. I had hoped for an apple tree at the cache site, but I guess you can't have everything! I had the park to myself to start with, but after I'd looked for a while without finding anything a father showed up with his young daughter to play on the equipment, and at that point I had to give up. I'll have to try again another time! Thanks for the cache.

We agree with kaikawaka re question 4, which caused us confusion too. But, even after having got the correct co-ords we had no success at the site. We tried first at night (30 Dec), and then hoped that coming again in the light of day might throw some light on the cache. We returned on New Year's Eve while there was still plenty of daylight and had a long uninterrupted search. We wondered if we might be looking for an apple tree too - but no such luck. The GPS was a bit all over the place, but fairly consistently came to a particular area, but that yeilded us nothing. We'll try again when we have worked out a fresh approach.
It is an attractive little park. We also liked the whole concept of the cache. Thanks, stardust718.

This is just embarrasing. Easily answered the questions but could I get the math to work? No. Dyslexia, missed the minus 1, wrong values in wrong places... it's all bad. And giving that I have placed a number of math based caches... But I eventually found the hidey hole, claiming an STF, and filling in another date on my 366 grid. Congrats on your first puzzle cache, Stardust. Excellent piece of work!
Somehow I managed to complete the puzzle without any errors and find the cache almost instantly at GZ although I think both were good luck rather than any skill on my part! Nice theme for the puzzle and nice place for a cache, TFTC
Yay.. FTF worked out the solution pretty quickly, but took a while hunting around to find the cache.. Was pretty wet which made it interesting
Holy Carp Batwoman!
I thought you were a Physio, not a Physicist!
six incorrect GeoChecks later, I have the tick!
Now the question is, can stop myself from attempting this cache till Jan 7th (my next empty day on the 366-days-of-caching matrix)?
