Needed a little stop on my late night trip back from Hamilton to Tokomaru. Stretched my legs, saw my breath in the cold, turned on my torch and found the cache still well hidden. Log book full and a little damp
A nice quick easy find, grab, sign by Mrs PorknPuha because Mr PorknPuha couldn't find it.TFTC
In the morning I left Hastings in sunny and warm weather and in the evening I arrived in the cold and rain of the Tongariro National Park. The road was nice and scenic, so I stopped at various monuments and railway bridges and hunted for caches. I had several DNFs today and some caches were wet and logbooks were full. Still, thanks to all owners for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.
Stopped in here on our way to visit Smash Palace. Its a highlight for Mr Muggle on our trip so Id say we will be here for a few hours (ended up being 2.5hrs).What a cute little school house. Thanks for showing us mjmnzyou are always dependable in putting a cache in where we need it.

This one was hard to find, but we managed ! Thanks for placing and maintaining. The logbook is almost full and a little wet.
Glad we have another find to end the day. Log book was wet, so couldn't write on it. Keep following the corners around.
Day 11 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today we are in the area and surrounding area of Wellington, and then we go to Ruapehu. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

After Dinner we planned to do this Cache. The good habit during our trip: we want to do a cache in the town where we stayed overnight. Horopito was such a place. TftC and best regards from Stuhr/ Germany.
Nein, wir wollten nicht die Abendschule besuchen sondern den Cache ausfindig machen. Wir sind fündig geworden und stehen nun im Logbuch.
Danke für den Cache. Es grüßt Viaggio21, Stuhr, Germany

With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.
This was day 3. Today we ended going from Arapuni, to Taumaranui, Raurimu and then various places around Tongariro National Park. We then carried on south through Ohakune and past the Tangiwai disaster memorial to the Gumboot capital of NZ.
I haven't seen the film Smash Palace but I remember seeing the nearby car yard in the movie 'The Hunt for the Wilderpeople'. This cache here was a quick find thanks to a good hint

One of a few caches found on our drive from the Kāpiti Coast to Morrinsville today. Obliged to travel this route because the Desert Road was closed. Good opportunity to pick up a few extra caches! This one was a quick find. #5601. TFTC.
Driving between National Park and Ohakune picking up caches along the way. Lovely day! Tftc!
Heading back to Turangi after a wonderful time in Turoa, decided to drop by and find this cache. Quick and easy find. Thank you for the cache
Mrs Beconaze had this cache found and sorted even before I could get out of the car. It is in great shape
The old school is looking good. Nice to see the care shown by the community of this historic building. Found with Kauriforest. TFTC
Nice building, I noticed there are still a number of jobs to do to complete this restoration. TFTC
Easy find on my way North. Nice to learn a bit more about the history of the school. TFTC.
Found by Blenheim Bear on a wee day looking at bridges, this is on my way from Ohakune to the next bridge in Turangi so a quick stop and grab. Good to see familiar names on the log sheet. thanks for the cache all good today. Blenheim Bear
Just passing by on a quick visit to Ohakune. Great to see the old school well looked after. Thanks for the cache.

I DNFed this one so long ago I don't even remember it - Feb 2013 apparently. So here I am, back 9 years later to avenge that DNF. Interesting spot and history. TFTC!!!
Having completed maintenance to replace my missing PWGT geocache at Smash Palace I was surprised that I didn’t know this cache was here, considering all the times I’ve been through.
This was the eighth cache of sixteen I found today, at 11:35, contributing to the new Reach the Peak challenge.
I see I’m the second find today. The log was a bit damp so I dried it off before signing and replacing. TFTC

Thanks mjmnz for the cache. It’s #1574 for us. We found your cache on 2 January 2022. At last we found a cache in Horopito! Lovely spot.
Co-ordinates a bit out, probably due to power lines. Found it once we located correct corner
Another I thought I had found but obviously not. In the last corner we looked in. Mt Maunganui to Ohakune. Tftc
Found on earlier trip from Taupo homewards. I do like these ald school buildings etc. They have such an atmosphere around them. TFTC
Explored a few spots here in front of this neat old school building. Great spot for a cache. TFTC.
What a charming 'old school' what feels like in the middle of nowhere. Grabbed while doing a roadie with Itchyfeet2020 - collecting PWGT caches. Couldn't resist including this one as we drove by.
Surprisingly there were quite a few hint items around. Log very wet, may need drying out soon.

once my phone decided to settle it was a quick find, it was nice and cosy in its little spot, tftc
March has been such a busy month, but not so much with getting out and about to indulge in finding some caches for myself. So what better way to remedy this than have a few days away in an area not previously cached out?
Cue a weekend of touring around the Tongariro National Park in good company. Exactly what I needed, and a weekend that would see me find over a hundred caches, including getting my 4000th.
I knew this would be a long day, both starting and finishing in the dark, but I hadn't quite expected to be out caching for 16 hours straight lol. But it was a very productive and interesting day, so it was all worth it in the end.
This would be my first find for the day. The cache was found by torchlight, seeing as it was before 6am. It was a straightforward find once I was looking in the right corner. I was able to sign and replace the log without issue, before heading on to the next one.
Thanks for setting up and maintaining this cache.

On our way down to Ohakune to get a shuttle back to Horopito to ride the Old Coach Road. A quick stop here since the roads were quiet this early am and the cache was soon found. Don't think I could of parked any closer to it. Quite wet but waterproof log paper so all was good.
Day 2 of my week long road trip of geocaching, camping and seeing a few bands. Today I left Wanganui early(ish) headed for the Dickey Flat campsite and one of the remaining old school caches. For the first time I am using the cachetur.no website and app to plan out my caching, and it's proving to be a handy wee tool.
Log paper was a bit damp here, but signable. TFTC

What an interesting piece of history, Thanks mjmnz for bringing us here. We would have driven straight past had it not been for your cache.

Lovely old building! Very cold but enjoyable trip so far today. Loved the container! All good and soon signed and replaced. TFTC and for bringing us here.
Loving discovering the history of the central plateau today while out caching! Nice easy find and didn't get run over crossing the road! Tftc!
A fun little place to stop. Really beautiful old school and a nice view of the mountain
Wild and woolly weather to hunt in and a gps that is telling lies, found on the 4th corner I looked in, tftc
Having moved my snail shell to National Park from Taumarunui it was time to go and sign off a few caches for the Wonders Of the World Challenge.
No clouds today so the mountains are in full splendour.
My GPS took me past the other corner and then I widened my search area.
Cheers for the cache.
