Discovering caches in the Victor area today with Peas&CarrotsForever, sandelf and PineappleGoldy. What an amazing view We had no luck finding the cache, which was a shame, but the view from this no through road is breathtaking so well worth the visit.TFTC monkeysandusKeep smiling
At an event at Port Adelaide recently I was engaging in conversation with Peas&CarrotsForever. They mentioned that they will be going to be down at Victor Harbor for non cache related commitments. I had also been thinking of going down to the region again, so we organised to meet up and go caching on one of the days they were there.I also took Jolly0 down to join us for the day, Sandelf also joined the group. A large merry group for an awesome day. We had lots of laughs, a nice pub lunch and plenty of caches.Unfortunately, we are adding to the list of DNF's. We scrolled through the logs so we knew what we were looking for. We expanded the search radius to about 20 metres in all directions but nothing was found.A cool spot for a cache. Super awesome views. Sucks that it's a DNF, hopefully the CO can check on it soon.
Came along to the end of the road, where they really don't want you parking... and had a good look around under the olive. Pretty sure if there was an actual "large" cache there once it may be gone now. Poked around and turned over rocks just to make sure. Maybe they don't like folks parking for a cache
On the watch list now in case it gets fixed or found again.

What a great spot [^].Searched all the nearby trees, but couldn't find a cache .We've been wrong before, but think this one may be gone as well [B)].Thanks anyway Monkeysandus.
A day trip to Victor Harbour and surrounds, concentrating on several segments of my “360° from home” chart that are deficient in finds!
A busy spot late in the afternoon, but eventually I had the place to myself. This wouldn’t be a bad street to live in, except for all the cachers coming and going.
Thanks for the cache monkeysandus.

Came for a drive on a nice weather day so we could get out and enjoy the surroundings, guessing up here it would be really windy at times.
Such a feelin's comin' over me
There is wonder in most every thing I see
Not a cloud in the sky, got the sun in my eyes
And I won't be surprised if it's a dream
Everything I want the world to be
Is now comin' true especially for me
And the reason is clear, it's because you are here
You're the nearest thing to heaven that I've seen
I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found, ever since you've been around
Your love's put me at the top of the world
Something in the wind has learned my name
And it's tellin' me that things are not the same
In the leaves on the trees, and the touch of the breeze
There's a pleasing sense of happiness for me
There is only one wish on my mind
When this day is through I hope that I will find
That tomorrow will be, just the same for you and me
All I need will be mine if you are here
I'm on the top of the world lookin' down on creation
And the only explanation I can find

Thought we would make the most of the nice weather and tackle a few caches before the forecast rain.

Found it! What a view. I was looking for a spot for a large trackable that I've had on me for way too long and was slightly disappointed with the size of the cache.... Not much bigger than a small or a regular imho. Anyway still TFTC.
In Port Elliott today, cool windy day for caching out to get a few before the heat hits later this week. TFTC
Who wakes up at 5am to attend an event at Vilis[?] OK, the alarm woke me[|)][xx(][|)] but it sure took me a while to make up my mind to go
Finally got out of the house and arrived at the event at 6.25am 5 mins before it finished but then again most people stayed well after finishing time
Then I had to decide: go home or go for a drive to get 3 caches today and a possible FTF too[?]
Rex is enjoying Encounter Bay lately as there is usually no one on the beach and he can chase the seagulls to his heart's content![:X][^]
That's how I found myself sitting on a bench in Encounter Bay, in the wind and rain, while Rex ran up and down the beach for half an hour[^]
1 event attended, 1 DNF (on a FTF too) and 6 caches found[^]
Love views like this, even with grey seas, grey skies and grey rain clouds dropping their rain drops on us
Stood for a while, looking at the view[^], while talking to honeysucker who must have been bored as he rang me 3 times
Cache was found easily while Rex waited in the car[^] as he thought he wanted to chase after the gorgeous pinto horse being ridden off down the road I thought differently![^]

Out for a drive with my son too get his hours up. Some sealed roads and some unsealed roads both wet and dry was good experience for him. This was one of our stops along the way. TFTC
Amazing view, thank you, a spot I never thought to visit! Unfortunately I couldn’t find the cache, I couldn’t even find a bush
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Felt like we were doing something wrong - no red button in sight.
Did we miss something?

grabbing a few caches while staying in victor over night. quick find. the cache is now a small clip lock container. nice view.
We are staying in Victor Harbour for the weekend to celebrate our milestone (60/50) birthdays. We were supposed to be doing an Italian themed weekend but that didn’t work out so staying at an Airbnb and doing a lunch at a winery tomorrow. Just tucking into a glass of Mumm champers now as we write up our logs. We don’t have the hound so going over to Granite Island to collect the caches there. We had the most amazing lunch at the Island Cafe over there what a pleasant surprise delicious food and live music. Then we went on to Goolwa for coffee and cake. Super day out.
We came to this one because of all the FP and because it is listed as large. Found a small container but the views and the mammoth houses made up for that. As we were taking our photo a guy arrived with the biggest amount of camera parafernalia to take a snap as well TFTC

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Great views
Victor Harbor is certainly not wanting in caches these days. We really want to push that red button to see what will happen. SL TFTC
I had come down to Victor Harbor for an event on Granite Island and when that had finished I decided to get a few caches before I went home. [^]
Came for a nice drive out here and admired the great view, but it was a bit hazy today so I didn't take a photo.
Spotted the cache, but had to get down on hands and knees to retrieve it.
Thanks for the cache monkeysandus.

Found this on my 2 days of caching fun in Victor Harbour. Dodging showers. TFTC TNLNSL Nice View. Too wet to photo.
Last day before heading, home, back in South Australia, on a caching mission, and spending some time at the sites. Tftc.
Found out with Brother & Hubby very windy day. TFTC TNLNSL NO TB in Cache. Pity people didn't log when they took TB'S. Lovely view.
Having had a long week at work and few disappointments it was time to get out and do something just for fun. Joined up with a friend and went on a night geocaching run.
Thanks to monkeysandus from mogni

Out for another day of fun caching with Dr Owl helping her on another of her missions. A most successful day with some FTF's and the Owl achieving most of her planned goals. Me? No goals, no plans, I was just along for the ride and the extra reach.
Wow, great view.
Thanks for the cache monkeysandus.

Stopped here as this was supposed to be a large cache, and have an unactivated trackable in it. Turns out it was more a small, but we did get the trackable. TFTC
Found with VikingNav today while exploring the area. I picked up the unactivated reviewer trackable left by the previous cacher to find this cache. Thanks for placing this cache with amazing views, no matter what size it is. I appreciate the Large, they are getting fewer and farther between.
Well I suppose if you have only been caching in this decade this is a large cache.
Let me tell you about caching in my day. We had containers as big as wine barrels and mint tins where something you stored mints in.
However it was a lovely location for a cache with a great view.
A couple of sheep preferred the grass here to the nearby property.
Left a reviewer trackable for the next person to keep.

Out & about with Mrs Froghoppin and hevwalker after the seaside event.
It was getting muggy again & my frozen drink was almost defrosted.
We didn't have far to look and lingered longer to enjoy the view.

Found with Scrappy21. Yep - great views! Mind you, a little disappointed... We came here especially due to promise of a large cache. And that was not a large cache... Indeed - small if you ask me... Thanks anyway...
D and LaStorm15 found this cache while away camping at Deep Creek conservation park. Awesome view

I have been able to find it in a difficult spot but it is certainly fun. The view was fantastic .
Great views, nice day for a drive in the hills around Victor. Thanks for bringing us here.
Jumped on the mountain bike in Victor and headed towards the hills behind Victor to pick up caches today. Great views from this cache - beautiful area - worth a fav point for the scenery - signed log - TFTC
An excellent view down over Victor Harbor from here - thanks for the placement.
note: the ***'Signal Tag Boat'*** trackable was ***not*** in the cache, so could you please 'mark it as missing' so that it is removed from the cache page, thanks.

Owl was at a craft camp down the road, but there was time between getting up and breakfast to go out and find a cache or two. Or three! The view was a bit wanting because of the rolling fog, but it had a charm of its own and Owl got the idea, so is leaving a favourite point.
Container smaller than I was expecting, but the view more than made up for it. TFTC. 21/03/2016, 13:51 Find #1740
Hi there monkeysandus.
We found your cache **"Point 'n' Click"** at 10:03:00 AM today.
This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 12 Finds & 1 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 12799.)
Today was our last day in the area & our cache run took us to Victor Harbor once more, initially to complete an EarthCache and then to attempt a few caches we couldn't get to in the last few days. We enjoyed our walks today but the weather was too grey to take any photos.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good condition, but **the listed trackable "Signal Tag - Boat" is not in the cache, could monkeysandus (or the Trackable owner) please "Mark the Item as Missing" so it can be removed from the cache inventory.** (This option is under Actions on the trackable's web page).
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
**Grabbed Trackable:** "Wellies".
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
