Tough puzzle for us, and a majority of others judging by the previous finds. Hats off to anyone that can solve it without the COs help
I was walking through this park and found this cache. So I worked the whole thing out backwards. TFTC.
We love a mystery we can solve and this was one of them. The question was.. would we get to Bremer Bay to find it? Today we did and it was the first place we went to.As others have said, the lid is cracked but the waterproof log is okay with that.. so was my pen surprisingly. TFTC and an enjoyable puzzle MTKEus.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 22 - Esperance to Bremer Bay via Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun, and Jerramungup. The day started off with me realising I had scheduled too far to go in one day and have a chance to visit the spots I had selected along the way. I decided to still do the detour to Hopetoun and enjoyed the area, but did not stop for morning tea. I did the Labs in Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe, but had to skip the cave site. Then it was a long plod to Jerramungup and down to Bremer Bay where the afternoon was closing down quickly. I did get one cache just to say I've done one in the county before heading to the Brewery for the evening. I have decided to stay an extra day, so will try some more local caches tomorrow. The afternoon had got well on by the time I arrived in the Bay town. This was one of few puzzles that have been solved so just had to have a look for it. Once I stayed on the correct tail, I was soon at gz, and the cache was found safely. Time to go and set p and head out for the evening, that is coming very early at this time of year. Thanks for the cache MTKEus46801.4 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2016 Cache Killer A#346**Albida**
Although the puzzle is said to be easy, we still struggled to find a way in so sent a message to the CO who was very forthcoming with a good hint to get us going. With that sorted, today we made a detour on our trip to Albany to come and visit Bremer Bay. This was our first stop on the way into town on a beautiful blue sky day. We are very much looking forward to visiting the bay now. Thanks MTKEus Domsky
As per previous logs we found this puzzle not so easy to solve so a message was sent to the CO and after a prompt response we soon had the coords for the find...we didn't have the necessary tools to solve while on the road but the CO was very helpful! Thank you again for your help!Nice quick find at GZ with useful info in the description.Camping nearby for a few days and decided to head into Wellstead to clean up a few caches here and to keep the daily finds going .....then decided we have come this far we may as well get the next LGA over and head into Jerry LGA.Thank you MTKEus for placing and maintaining Bremer Bay's First ? for us and others to find and enjoy! Fave point added for teaching us a new solving skill and for such great communication!....all the way from Germany too!
After a few days in Bremer bay its time to head back to the big smoke and then on to the east (home)Fun times where had here on our boat trip , well fun for some not so fun for others, but thats another story.I struggled with this one, struggled with internet service and the house we staying in has no WIFI Messaged the co for a bit of help as my buddys were no help at all.We soon had what we needed from the CO, Thank you.today we dropped in and made a quick find as we drove out.Cache in good condition and all is well hereSo many caches, so little time, which do we chooseCanetoads and cockroach on holidays in the West TMac61 and Bliss BabyTFTC
Tried a few things with the puzzle to no avail however the CO was helpful so we soon had some co-ordinates to play with. We picked it up on the way out of town and off to Pemberton for the night. Saw some new gumnuts we hadn't seen yet - WA is like that we are discovering, so many different natives to the east coast. We came to Bremer Bay to do the Orca trip and we weren't disappointed with lots of whales and birds seen. I'll no doubt be back again in the future with friends as opposed to this trip with family. tftc and your prompt assistance.
I do wish fellow cachers wouldn't make comments about how easy the puzzle was. Personally I found it totally baffling. Fortunately the CO was prompt in responding to my cry for help and pointed me in the right direction. Then it was easy! Anyway, after solving the puzzle I popped off to GZ and made a timely find. TFTC....and your help!
I began to look for this cache a while back when it was announced I would be going to Bremer bay for the end of the holidays. What ensued was quite spectacular. As usual, I was puzzled by the mystery. So I asked the CO, MTKeus, for additional help with understanding the question. He was very happy to help me and clearly demonstrated what needed to be done. Just before leaving to Bremer bay I finally put some work in and solved it. I then clarified with CO and found out I was 1 digit off! I then traveled and completed the many other caches around the area before finally making time to go out and find this cache on the very last day. I walked from the nearby brewing company to this cache where I found out it was more than a micro. It was very obvious as well. I am quite surprised that this has not been muggeled noting that the cache is close to a BMX track. I then walked to the AL nearby and came back to the brewery and ate some food!I also forgot my pen TFTC MTKeus
well after the CO was so wonderfully helpful with the puzzle (so easy when you see it) we tramped around for a while had 1mt to GZ but couldn't find hid nor hair of it. Try again another time
Found it TFTC Found in good condition. After a failure yesterday, we re- visited the puzzle and found we had put a 8 instead of a 6. Go the typo's
Found during a visit to Bremer Bay for the day, enjoying the scenic views of the area and searching for caches along the way. Solved the puzzle over breakfast this morning, taking a little bit of time to establish the pattern, but once sorted I was on my way! Thanks for the puzzle and cache MTKEus!
I solved the mystery with no help, so I will go log it tomorrow. PS! We were so close to the geocache today.
Lid has a crack and container and ziplock bag was filled with water. Luckily logbook is waterproof paper.
We solved this puzzle together last night so we could go out and find it this afternoon. Great to see a mystery puzzle in town. We miss solving lots of these on our travels. Easy find at GZ. TFTC
Finally got down here to have a go. Not easy while being attacked by march flies. Tftc and puzzle Nd help. Fave
On the way to Esperance, detour and find it. Sign the log as EV, and thanks for the cache and hunt.
After a hint with the puzzle it took us some time to find the path all in good condition enjoyed the puzzle thanks for bringing us here found after an Orca tour TFTC
With cmb212. Puzzle solved with a little hint. Just as I was retrieving the cache a bullit Ant bit me on the heel. Well I had just come from the beach!
Nice little puzzle. What a beautiful spot is Bremer Bay. Found with Redruthguy. TFTC
Know the area pretty well. Just picked a random path. Second attempt, 6yr old saw it! Good luck on our behalf.
Just me (G) out hunting today to find this one, everyone else sat in the car. Couldn't have done this without a little hint from the CO though. We had been thinking in a completely different direction! Thank you!!
TFTC, this really made my day today This is why I love geocaching, it takes you somewhere completely different to where you might ordinarily go. 10 years of coming to Bremer and I've never been around this area of town.

I remember that we solved this one whilst on holidays in Albany 8 years ago, thinking that we would have time to find it whilst there... Of course that never happened but here we are holidaying in Cheynes, taking a day trip to Bremer Bay & yay this one is still going
This was our first find for the day after google maps leading us up the wrong path... Got there after a bit of a drive around when we stumbled upon the walking track From there Jase made a quick find!
TFTC & the puzzle MTKEus A great puzzle, love ones like this that give you that A'HA moment!

After an extra hint from the CO, I was able to find this cache quit easily, forgot my pencil so was unable to sign properly. TFTC
There are so many ways to interpret the data. We struggled to start with but with a nudge from the CO, we soon had a set of coordinates.
Today we headed to Brener Bay on our WA visit. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. There was about 15mm of water in the container but the logbook was dry. After signing the log, we cleaned out the container, dried the inside and then refined the container to the branch with new cable ties. So a complete maintenance check has been done.
Thanks for the puzzle, help and cache in this lovely part of Western Australia.

Out in Bremer Bay for the day to pick up my brother as well as get my Learning driver hours up. Decided to try grab as many of the nearby geocaches as we could while in town. We happened to pick up 4 caches in total meaning we have 2 left to grab another time.
The walk to this cache was very wet so my feet got all muddy but was worth the smiley. The hint is wrong but we eventually searched not regarding the hint and BINGO there it was! The cable ties need replacement as they have snapped and I had to tie them together as best I could as I had no spares.
Thanks for the geocache and the little walk and hunt! TFTC MTKEus

Found with Deefa71 on our travels around the Great Southern after the WAGB21 weekend. Required some assistance from a previous finder to solve this one.Tftc
Difficult find. Took familysteiner some effort, while I looked around aimlessly. Tftc.
Sandymay27 placed a new container under some rocks a the bottom of the tree near the path.
Thanks a lot for your help. Very much appreciated.

Found after being given another hint (Thanks!). We found the puzzle quite challenging without all our usual resources, but managed with paper and pen in the end!
Solved with a little help from the CO.
A quick find at GZ.
Have a FP for showing a new puzzling technique.
TFTC MTKEus this is find #10738 for us.

After a long day on a whale watching tour, we solved the puzzle and found this cache quickly.

Down in the beautiful Bremer Bay for a weeks holiday and a bit of caching! Thank you to the very kind CO for a big shove in the right direction, this is one we would not have found otherwise! Loved the puzzle, very clever! A favourite point from us.
We are at the start of our 5week holiday travelling to the coast to enjoy the sunshine and water. Along our travels we made a few stops to explore the area and grab a few caches . Solved this one a few years ago and have finally made it to claim the smiley. Thanks for placing for our enjoyment.
Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches.
We worked together on this puzzle and also had a few pointers from the CO. Nice to be able to claim it and she did some maintenance.
Thanks for the hide and MTKEus.

A couple of days in Bremer Bay and our first visit. Had solved the puzzle beforehand thanks to the very helpful CO. Went for a walk, found the cache, replaced the log and left a pathtag and a keyring I had found in a cache in Bathurst. Thanks for this puzzle and your help and a FP!
Had issues with the puzzle. Log book wet and moldy didn’t have one to replace only plastic bag. Thanks
A beautiful day to be caching around Bremer Bay with 7 finds. All caches were in good condition - thanks to the PP2 team checking on them for us over the weekend. We had plenty of time to solve all the puzzles in town before our trip! This was a quick solve having seen the technique a few times in some masters of mystery caches. It was the slowest find of the day as the previous logs seemed to suggest a different kind of hide, but we got it eventually. TFTC MTKEus.
This area must have changed since the cache was published with brand new parks & roads. There are alternative ways to get to it but it is still in place, safe & sound. TFTC MTKEus
After consultation with the Cache Owner we were able to find this today. TFTH
It was really an easy riddle. The cache container was really a European model. Thank you for the cache and best regards from a swiss visitor.

Solving this riddle wasn't too hard as I knew right away what to do - especially when you have seen puzzles like these already . Today I was travelling from Albany to Esperance and so I made this "little" detour towards Bremer Bay, which was all worth it . Equipped with some replacement stuff I fought my way to GZ somehow and arriving there, I found everything in perfect order - dry log sheet and still plenty of space for many cachers to come [:o)].

Having found most other caches in the area, this cache happened to be our last to find, despite being bremers first! We will admit we did struggle with the puzzle and did have to resort to asking a friend for a hint! Thankfully we could then get the right coords and headed off to gz for our first! (For the year). A quick find on 0m, logbook and cache container still in excellent condition! Thanks for the hide and also tricky puzzle! Tftc!!
Our first day on the 'big loop' through WA checking out the wildflowers and grabbing a few caches along the way. Solved this puzzle when it came out six years ago - never thought it would take us that amount of time to get back here. Lots of changes in Bremer since our last visit in 2007. Thanks MTKEus
After two visits to Bremer Bay, finally found this one. Thank you for the cache, secured again!
Finally a tour with the-shredder and skyryser again! After so long time of separation. Found this on our Tour through WA. Thanks to the owner who gave us another hint for the puzzle we made it. TFTC
The hint doesn’t apply any more. But cache is still there. Found with The-Shredder and pingu_k. TFTC
Had a little help from the owner and headed to the co-ords. Soon had the cache in hand. On tour with Skyryser and pingu_k. Tftc The-Shredder
After many different attempts to crack a code even after using the hint correctly I resorted in contacting the CO, then I saw the light. Headed down to Bremer for our Australia Day holiday and found the cache in an obvious location. Happy Australia day. SL TFTH
We found that our first idea for solving this cache was incorrect almost immediately we then embarked on more head scratching and over thinking. A previous finder pointed out the hint, then it all fell into place pretty quickly. Thanks for the puzzle that is tricky in its simplicity.
After a few goes at trying to work this puzzle out we had to resort to asking the CO for some help. There's been a lot of work done in the area with new roadworks. Getting in was by an overgrown path with some bush bashing needed and mozzies galore. However, we are happy with the find. The cache was found on the ground. Have tucked it away again until someone can maintain it.
Finally.....after solving this puzzle a long time ago (with a bit of help from the CO), we made it to Bremer Bay in search of caches and so of course this one. We wandered up the correct path and soon reached GZ. Unfortunately the cache was lying on the ground along with its previous attachments. As it was quite exposed, we tucked it up under a nearby bush. It is still at its intended coordinates so should be easy to find. TFTC and for a fun puzzle.
Struggled a bit to find it but we thought the code was really clever. Great hiding place
We found your cache today! The rain held off for a quick stroll down the path and a little bush bashing to GZ ! Thanks for the puzzle and the cache left a trackable.
I saved this one for my leap year/leap day cache.
Many thanks to the CO for just about holding my hand to GZ, my GPS was spot on 0 so well done for the very accurate co-ords.
I went in search for this one after we got back from a day on the sea looking for Orcas........and we found a lot of those,

A quick check of the caching map for any unknowns that might be hiding around the area revealed this cache
One idea of how to solve it was quickly discounted as it resulted in a very, very, big number
Me next idea was much simpler, and having done some counting, I soon had the solving method cracked
This morning me first stop in BB was outside the skool.
Hmmm ?? Maybe not, so I headed into towne and walked to GZ via another pathway I had seen.
It did strike me that 8:36am on a skool day, might not be the best time to be looking for a cache somewhere along a pathway that led from towne to the skool [:o)]
But no kids were seen, and GZ turned out to be well out of sight of the path anyways
Cache found where the numbers said [^]

During our 4-week trip through Western Australia we had a great time there and we also found a couple of caches along the route. We stopped here too to search and grab this caches. Fabulous area and well worth a visit. Very nice and beautiful geocaching site. Thanks for hiding this cache in this stunning area and greetings from Germany!

I have to admit I was frustrated and defeated by the limitations of my iPad. This was the final cache to find in Bremer Bay and I would have been really disappointed not to have claimed a smiley.
Like many before me I sought help from the CO and we've had a delightful banter across the seas. I also engaged the assistance of a caching comrade in Victoria who has cleverly solved the mystery. As we pull out of town, the last thing we've done is find this cache. YEEHAA!!!! Happy happy happy.
Thanks Klaus for your patience and quick responses and making sure I found the cache before we left, and thanks Paul for keeping me honest. A favourite from me because I think it's the longest amount of time I've spent on a cache. Muggle hubby is in disbelief.

Found at 9:21 AM GAFF4/3.
We pretty much knew what to do with this puzzle - and then the hint set us off in the right direction. This would have been a D 4.0 or even 4.5 if it wasn't for the hint. We then needed a bit of confirmation from MAF to proceed with our idea and we soon had some co-ords that looked ok. However when we headed out to search for the cache, nothing matched the cache description, so after a few minutes we called it off and retreated to our van to go over our interpretations - and oops [:o)] @ small errors and we were a mere 45 metres from the real GZ.
So on our way out the next morning we stopped our van at the start of the track and headed off to GZ to search, however after mucking about a bit we then decided that we were on the wrong track and had to be 35 metres to the south. A quick dash through the bush and there it was - finally [^]
A nice puzzle that doesn't need any special technical knowledge that anyone can do - we liked it.
Thanks MTKEus.

TFTC! Day 3 of my mini South West trip. Started the day travelling to Bremer Bay to complete the new multi and the puzzle cache in town and grab a few others on the way there and back. Was a good drive, albeit a bit further than I imagined.,
On my return go Albany I chased down the remaining caches in the Orion series, culminating in two epic final caches and a few odd ones nearby.
Another great day on the road where I broke my previous record for both cache finds in a calendar month (even with 4 days to spare) and beat my record finds on a calendar year, with more than half the year to go!!
Thanks for the hide.
Maintenance completed. New rubber cable ties that can be opened and closed. Hopefully will keep the cache a bit safer for years to come. Thanks for help with the puzzle too.

Found the right trail after hacking through the bush via the wrong one:) cable tie has been cut by previous finder and needs replacing to ensure cache stays put.
Great fun working this one out. First go I made some mistakes in the visual part so finally a year or so later I made it back to have a second go. Almost gave up but suddenly there it was. Love the trees in the area. Funny little things. Thanks for a bit of a challenge.
Day twenty two of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747. Today we travelled from Esperance to Bremer Bay. Not a lot of caches on the way, we did three and one at a playground (didn't grab - too many muggles!). A couple of quick caches at Bremer Bay when we arrived and were looking around at our surroundings - very nice.
Really nice puzzle! thanks for the hint.
An interesting little path for the final GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7899. It's a travelling day today for Robmc and me - Esperance to Bremer Bay. We hope to find a few caches along the way to break up the journey.
Oh, this was a great puzzle. We realised last night at Esperance that we hadn't solved this puzzle yet and we would be at BB today - ahhhhh - Rob put his acutely clever brain to work immediately and before too long had an inkling of how this would be solved. We both continued to work on it and we did like this one a lot. Nifty. After arriving this afternoon and settling in we came via GZ and what a lovely area it is. Soon had the cache to hand. Left one of my mask pathtags in appreciation.

When we first read this puzzle we thought it was going to be easy...but we needed help from the CO and there is no way we would have been able to solve it without his help. This is a very clever puzzle and really enjoyed it. We found the cache without any problems once arriving in Bremer Bay. We have added the cache to our favourite list. SL TNLN TFTC.
First puzzle cache and we needed a hint but found it in the end. Nice area with we were here in the spring. Thanks MTKEus for your help and placing the cache.
I'm supposed to be the maintenance man here and yet I'd never been to the cache before. Remedied today with Mistraluna, finding a few lovely orchids along the way. Thanks MTKEus
Another beautiful day down in the Great Southern. Today we headed eastwards, again chasing down more WA Explorers. I had this puzzle solved before leaving home and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very clever Klaus. I found some lovely orchids nearby too - see pics. Thanks for the smileys MTKEus
After solving the puzzle mid last year we finally had the chance to find the cache during our recent holiday in Bremer Bay. Great puzzle and TFTC.
After (like many others) resorting to the cache owner for a hint, I finally could tick this one off. Interesting container, that made me think of something a similar shape, that I have never seen used as a cache container.... Biked to about 2m from GZ. Thanks.
Thanks for the co -ords with them we were able to locate it. Cache is still there despite development in the area .
