Kids wanted to keep trying - I got impatient lol and the flies were annoying me hahaha
After reading previous posts we gathered it may be in a tight fix. It certainly was , so back to the car and got some tools to free it. Once out you could see that it had been caught in the flood. Drained the muddy container and left wet log out to dry and popped a couple of pages in a ziplock bag and put in cache. Couple of fishermen were luring Tftc
About 4 years ago we made the find here. Today after a glorious swim on the flooded sandbar we came here again for old times sake. Sad to say the spot we found it in is no longer there. The magnificent tree is really looking good considering its 300 or 400 years old. Many branches have been lopped off and white ants have moved in to the dead wood. Thanks for the memories.
Found It!
A nice drive in here and soon spotted the cache after a short search. The cache is slowly getting swallowed by the tree, I couldn't get it out but managed to take the lid off and get just the logbook out to sign it.

This one was a struggle. Coordinates kept jumping around. Somehow found it, was also a little difficult getting it out but managed. Tftc

Spending a quiet day on the road today due to the high temperatures with RoddyC, hatzofff & grannysmith1947 (To save space on log sheets, we have signed as Team 44 QLD.
That was a very hard container to retrieve, took quite some time to get to sign the logbook.

Day 22 of our southern trip. Exploring around Red Cliffs and Mildura today. With a round trip into NSW. We areTeam 4 4 QLD - RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan and Grannysmith1947.
What adventures we are having on these tracks! Bumping, diverting, sliding, hopping. Then the loud crackle of the dry grass and bark.
And that is a really tight fit!
Log signed and cache replaced as found on January 31, 2022. TFTC, Mebclever

Beautiful, powerful, amazing spot... Ring tree means possible edge of territory or old Campsite from my understanding... And why wouldn't you camp here? Just divine, I felt so happy being in this place.. Took the wrong road in, almost got bogged, engaged All Terrain mode and powered out of the sludge.. Unfortunately didn't find cache, too used to looking near the ground, better luck next time.. Thank you! <3
Beautiful location have spent a few evenings down here having a fire and a feed with Knipe raider

We didn't think that we would be able to get anywhere near as close as we did. Our maps had no roads/tracks to take us in here but once we arrived, tracks were abundant. Thanks for showing us some of the many great places to camp along the Murray. Thanks for the cache and bringing us out here.
When we headed out here, we were curious how far we may have to walk. Gratefully, the track extended further than our map suggested. Thanks for the cache.

Day seven of a camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie.
Change of scenery today as we head south-east towards Swan Hill.
The track ended according to maps, but we were able to keep going.
A lovely peaceful spot.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Mebclever

So many beautiful camping areas along the Murray river. Passed some keen campers on the way to this cache. A short search and the cache was in hand
Thanks Mebclever for placing the hide!

Stealth required with a few campers enjoying the beautiful Murray River. Found the O tree and got some nice photos. TFTC!
TFTC out for the day with PeteBev. Enjoying a week away camping, hint & past activity helped Pete locate this one
This one almost had the better of us. Lucky we had a four wheel drive to get out here. We past some campers out on the sand bar with there kids dunking each other in the river. Secured the log but it was a bit hard to considering how long it hasn’t been found for. The cache seemed like it was untouched for so long the tree has grown around it. Otherwise all in good condition. Tftc
A great area for hunting for a geocache! Big trees and the beautiful river! TB taken. TFTC
Thanks for the great cache. Took a little hunting but worth it. We have hidden a travel bug in the cache, it does come out with a little patience.
Found it OK with RusnRob on a visit with the Cub Club. Not sure what the O tree refers to. SL TN LN TFTC
We love coming here on our maintenance run, it's a great spot. Cache all good and dry. Happy caching everybody.

After a walk to stretch our legs, the cache was spotted by one and reached by the other and we were happy to add it to our smiley collection, on a day with many DNF's (most on caches by this CO!). We travelled some back roads, upstream from Mildura to Robinvale, then returning with the flow via the busy Sturt Highway.
Thanks Mebclever for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

We did our maintenance run today checking containers and log books. all good and ready to go.
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
What a beauty spot on the river. Found the cache then pulled up not far away to camp for the night.
Thanks for the fun Mebclever!

From the road at Nangiloc, I bounced the geomobile along the tracks to reach this delightful, sandy bit of the Murray River
A few muggles had set up camp.
I parked the geomobile at the end of the easy to drive track, and set off on foot for the last 100 metres
That 100 metres put me nicely out of range of the muggle camp [^]
There were some mighty large logs lying around and there were many possible hiding spots
It took me 15 minutes of detective work to discover the cache's lair, but it wasn't escaping
TFTC and visit to another bit of the Murray
Not the first time I've been past this spot though.
'Bout 10 years ago I paddled me kayak from Yarrawonga to Mannum [:P}
1850 kms in 42 days
Happy times

Today was the second day of my holiday, heading to Broken Hill from Ouyen via Mildura, ultimately heading to Port Macquarie. I picked just a number of caches to break up the journey to stretch my legs, but missed Mildura caches alltogether. I missed the right road in, and ended up doing the Regents Parrots cache first, then heading in from there. It was a round about way of getting there, but enjoyable none-the-less.
Found the cache without too much difficulty. Thanks for the cache.

We saw at least 100 miles of river from near the hattah river to Mildura. We picked a bunch of Asparagus not far from here. We dropped off a travel bug that would fit in the cache. Thanks.

After setting up camp downriver with a group of non-cachers, we set off on a mini-hunt for a couple of caches hereabouts. Found this one at 4.40 pm by a delightful camping spot where we might bing the caravan one day. Always good to find new places, thank you for taking us there Mebclever. TNLNSL

Another of your hides where good numbers led us very close to GZ.
A long arm, but not of the law, served us well here.
