After clearing out all but three caches on the Molesworth Road between the locked gates before it closes very very soon for the season I headed home. This was the fourth stop along the way.
A very easy find here due to the spoiler photo. Thankfully not too muddy yet. It was about to get a lot lot worse though, once I turned onto Ngaroma Rd.

Fantastic spot for a cache and definately windy so between us we managed to hold everything to sign log. Watched a plane top dressing which was interesting. Thanks for bringing us in here and the cache Hotspud.
It seems strange to be driving through the middle of the farm. With the No Exit sign at the start of the road and all the health & safety regulation posted at the farms and gates, you get the feeling you should not be there. The rules have probably changed a lot since the caches were placed. Anyway, we carried on with only 1 gate to open and shut. Nice easy find here. tftc
I must have navigated the yards correctly, here is a cache. And the description of being a tad windy was on the ball up here, blowing quite hard. Great views again. Cheers
#15796. Trig station make good cache hiding places (with good views being a bonus). Quick find after a short scramble. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker while travelling from Christchurch to Kaikoura for a winter weekend away.
An interesting spot for a trig station and the views were stunning with the white topped mountains peeking behind the hills, with the blue sky as background. After a frosty start, the temperatures are at last increasing. Thanks for bringing me here, and TFTC.

One of my fav ways of spending a weekend day - jump into the car with a direction in mind, stopping for caches along the way, enjoying the journey. This time I piled a couple of 'kids' into the car also, and we headed to Kaikoura making the most of the road being open for the weekend and not that much traffic thanks to the Picton detour still in place. Needless to say that we never made it as far as Kaikoura, although we leaft early enough and got quite close. Try explaining that on a monday at work - where did you go over the weekend? Well, Kaikoura, but we did not quite make it there. Oh, is the road still so bad? LOL!
We did not even look at the class of road before heading here - there were caches to be found! Not too bad overall in any case. TFTC!!

Mum wanted to head off geocaching for the day - and I was keen too!! But a pretty useless cacher currently!! - On crutches with a moon boot on the right foot - meaning, no driving, and not really much finding for me either!
Really I was just a bum on a seat! Haha, but between mum & brother they managed to do the driving & the jumping out, so that I could just chill in the back seat most of the day! And get the find count out! Caching chauffeured style!!

Habberjam74 and I decided to spend the afternoon caching, so we headed out to Ferniehurst and had a good long drive. We clambered up to GZ and enjoyed the views. Nice hide. Tftc.
Out putting some 'run-in' kilometers on the new cachemobile. No swinging today as GZ was windless. Great views. Thanks for the cache.
Part of a loop the grommets and cousins and I decided to fill in the afternoon with. So worth the drive!
Great spot ..ice in the shadows , clear calm sunny morning. Views everywhere..thanks
Wow- what a bonus. Had to capture that view by eye as no camera could do it justice!! Tftc and the excuse to come here.
With a few more days of holidays left we decided to head south again and find some caches we didn't have time to look for last week, plus some more off the beaten track. This was one of 51 found today.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.
Our recent multi day Canterbury cache raid was so successful we decided to have another one before the holidays finished. Again we got stabbed, prodded, pricked and scraped by the variety of hedges the region is so famous for. And of course we can now hold our breath a lot longer. A skill well worth developing to avoid breathing in part of the road surface every time a vehicle passes. Just over 200 finds were logged this time and a great time was had finding the caches with a variety of shapes, sizes and placements. A big thank you to all COs who made this possible.
Oh man.. I nearly DNF'ed this one. I had to read the hint and circle GZ several times before I actually saw it.
Ok.. none of that happened.. the cache was basically screaming at me =) Another nice view of the scenery.

[green] On my way back to Blenheim from a long, tiring two weeks at Christchurch, centred on the Mega event there. A wonderful day, beautiful blue ocean and many thanks to all the cache owners from today and the last two weeks. I went up two belt grades, found over 750 caches this month, all except 20 of which were in the last two weeks! So many thanks to all the cache owners that have made this such an awesome trip.
Well, that was a surprisingly easy find!

I had parked my Mobile Travel Bug at Parnassus last night so it was off to do some of the "off the main track" caches today.
Another farm race as a public road. Great experience.
Cheers for the cache.

we are so luck in NZ that we can go places like this some great views up here today
Superb views of magnificent country from here. My muggle friend climbed up with me to make the find and immediately headed for the rock at her feet while I was just about besides myself with laughter as she brushed her head on it She quickly came up with the goods but I had to open it in case she broke a nail!

Stunned a few cows soaking up the last bit of the sun, a quick trot for us up to the top with an easy find. Great views and a very quite peaceful place to be......love it.
Navigated past a few roaming cows to end up here, great views for the camera. A nice spot for a cache.
Bugzptr and myself were staying at the Staging post so decided to go in the search of some caches, this was the 3rd one out of 8 for the day, a quick find. What wonderful scenery in this part of the country.
On our way to Kaikoura to drop off my nephew Jonny to my Uncles for the holidays and doing some caching on the way. Wow! Amazing views here and you really feel like your on top of the world. Jonny had fun taking panoramic photos here while we found and signed the cache. [red] A fav for the view on an awesome day[/red] Thanks for the cache

A quick easy find at this high point, with the GPS being totally superfluous. TFTC
First cache were we found rocks in an unusual position without a cache. But the object was quickly located, the views enjoyed and the drive out a pleasure. TFTC

Found during another nice walk on a farm road. I walked whole road, nice place, sheep and cows around.
On the top of the hill there was little bit windy. Another nice place.

Came here on a slow day's geoaching trip between Kaikoura and Christchurch. A lovely bit of country and a very pleasant drive through it on a good quality unsealed road. A quick find in about the only possible spot - signed log, TFTC
Lovely drive through the sheep covered rolling hills. Took the GPS just in case the obvious wasn't. Tee shirt weather in the middle of winter for most of the day except here where there was a breeze. Liked the name here.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Thoroughly enjoying the drive through this lovely farmland. A favourite for the drive off the beaten track which was something a bit out of the ordinary and the wonderful views. TFTC #4943
A very enjoyable excursion on a lovely warm day, always good to take a road less traveled.

TFTC. A super trail by Hotspud. Now where could it be? Actually there really was only one likely spot and there it was.
Thanks Hotspud.
Thanks Hotspud.
A nice detour on an evening drive by on the way up to Kaikoura. The sun was setting and the surrounding hills looked wonderful in this light. Thanks for the hide.

Cache location easily identified. Left GPS in the car and ran up the hill. Great views. TFTC.

I spotted the cache almost from the car.(pic attached) It must get very windy here to end up like that. Nice valley view. TFTC.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I returned the cache so that it wasn't visible on approach.

Enjoyed this group of caches, and happy to claim joint 2TF on them with rediguana. Took CacheSenseNZ's pathtag to add to my collection. TFTC
Third FTF today.. This is one of my favorite North Canterbury views.. Just beautiful.
