Unfortunately, we found the cache container..... smashed all over the ground!!! I removed the fragments and took them home to throw them out. This one is definitely in need of owner intervention. Thanks anyway darth trader.
What a great structure, very interesting. After a wander around we used the clue which gave it away, although I needed to go back to the car for assistance. Thanks for a top hide in beautiful parklands.
Found it by touch. ..made it a challenge. ..but small cache. ..minimal room for trackables
Found without problem.

TFTC - had no idea this park was so big!
Lots of history in the area.
Log was very damp and unable to be written on.

For the record the song in my head - "Die Antwoord - Wat Kyk Jy"
I came up to Maitland today to go the caravan and camping show. After getting bogged in the van twice within the past 12 months and both times being in situations where I was far from help and without reception I figured it was time to find something that could help me out. I do the majority of my caching alone so if I get bogged it's not as though I've got anyone who can help me out, especially out in the middle of a national park... I found a cool product called "Bog Out" which seemed to suit my needs and as luck would have it the guy selling the things had a stall at the show. So I decided to come up to ask him some questions and hopefully purchase one (which I did). It's always a nice sweetener also when you know you can grab some caches from a new area!!
I came to this one after the show and pulled up to find soccer games going on everywhere. A quick walk past to have a look at the different features here gave me some sort of cover. I haven't seen old style barbeques like that before!! It's a shame that they are locked up now though..
After my first quick search came up empty I came back (never good to be spotted looking around for too long in the one spot) and then spotted the cover. I retrieved the cache container but like the person before me, was unable to write in the log due to the contents being went and grimy. It was a cool hide nonetheless.
TFTC cheers

Yes, s marked the spot, but it was for Soggy today. The hiding spot has got water logged and the note book is drenched. Did sign it though. TFTC
Headed into Maitland to do some shopping, and grabbed a few caches in the area.
Amazing old structure and the nearby rotunda was lovely.
Cache was found quickly, but log is very wet.
Many thanks for placing this cache, darth trader, for us and others to find.

In a break of basketball comp. Had to get the geo kids out in some fresh air. Really nice park with two finds....happy days
Great rotunda in a beautiful setting. Thanks for showing us the area darth trader.
With the hint it was a quick find. There is some interesting structures around here.
TFTC, a nice location for this cache. the magnet was there but not much else (well a redneck was there).
found where the cache should be, but no log to be found, May need replacing ? will check back periodically to see if it has been maintained. such a clever spot to hide.

TFTC!!! Had troubles getting a pen but eventually got one. Very nice hide, something different.
Loved this, great hide, the log feels a little damp, had lunch and thought i might try this one again as there werent many people around, just council workers mowing, so i took geo pooch for a "walk" quick easy find.
Another attack of deja vu. There used to be a cache in the nearby marble fountain. A very cleverly sited cache. I wouldn't have looked there if not for the clue. TNLNSL TFTC
Woohoo third find for today... My kiddies seem to have a natural caching ability...
This is such a strange thing to have here!!
The victorians must have had a different idea as to what makes a great memorial or tribute.
We settle for unexplainable scuptures.

Begining of bike ride around the park, the boy wanted to play the "hide n seek" game. We found the S.Lionheart
hardest part of this cache was the muggle kids playing hide and seek on the structure had to use a lot of stealth replacing the cache but it was a very fun find on a great day out caching with Gilmaster and our families Thanks for the cache darthtrader
Easy one hint really made the difference nice hidden. A lot of people on a Monday night playing soccer stealth required.
Didn't take the traceable as I have no where exciting to take it at the moment.

TFTC, nice hiding spot. Log is a little damp but still able to be written on
Another quick find with sesblocker. A great hiding spot. Definitely worth a favourite point from us. Left London Court Geocoin.
A great cache found with The Neighbs. What a clever hide! Left Ladybird TB. TFTC!
Best cache I've found so far, great hiding spot
Logs wet may need attending too

Thanks for another great cache Darth Trader!
Log is a bit soggy, could do with replacing.

A wonderful structure at GZ and a smart hide. We love this park and often call in on our way through. Today it was teeming with maintenance workers, but not here thankfully. Unfortunately the container leaks and had quite a bit of water in it but the log's dry. Tipped the water out but didn't have anything to dry it out with. Amazing how some of these containers leak and others are like Fort Knox. TFTC darth trader.
I have lived in Maitland all my life and never visited this spot before. It's worth the find.
A great spot and a great hide. There's not enough of this type of hide around I reckon... They fit in so well...
No-one around this afternoon so with the place to myself, I got stuck into the hunt and had the container in hand in no time at all... Name added to the log, I tucked the cache back, thenheaded back into town... This was the end of my caching day.
Cheers darth trader.

Found it! TFTC! What a good hiding spot! Took me a couple if mins to find once i started looking in the right spot =)
[Blue]Our 8467th overall find.
Found this one on the way back from Lochinvar after attending a new RFS station opening. It was found without issue. Mr Young certainly did leave an impression, didn't he!
Thanks darth trader for the cache. [/Blue]

Found at 2:45 PM GAFF1. Gosh - this tempietto is quite an imposing structure. And just for a former mayor! Wonder if he included said tempietto in his will
This park is very well looked after and today in the bright sunlight it looked magnificent.
We did the obligatory circuit of the monument and even searched the top of the fountain and then we noticed a very possible spot and sure enough there was the cache in a spot that was the perfect size for it. Oddly enough though the container had let in water and the contents were wet.
Thanks darth trader.
