On our travels we found ourselves heading for wave rock and took the opportunity to grab some caches on the way, a nice spot to stretch the legs and a nice quick find, the log was a little wet but still managed to sign, thanks for placing it.
With the Motobike 3 Weeks Holliday in Western Australia. We will make the Holland-Track. Good found the Box. TFTC Pitfeder Switzerland
Pulled up as we head to Lake King and walked down to the cache. Log is soggy but managed to sign. Man people are gross, shit tickets everywhere!
Out and about cachingl today on travels from Adelaide to Perth via the Nullarbor. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
This deserves a favourite from me. I am on the hunt for counties and this was the only one along the road from Hayden the the next county. No pressure.
My advice to future catchers in to not walk on the road but follow the road just below. It is easy and safer walking.
The cache is a bit damp but otherwise in good condition. Excellent hint. thanks ROSS1957

I missed the south park so made the walk back for the cache.

Another one on way home from Hopetoun. Only 38 degrees. Quick find and log is damp but writeable. TFTC
Travelling from Esperance to Bruce Rock. Lunch stop and a quick walk to stretch our legs. Thank you.
If possible can the next cacher replace the log sheet. I might not be back there for a while. Thanks
Found after a drive from Hyden. Nice spot to stretch the legs. The logbook is still very damp.
Wandering out yonder around the wheatbelt for a few days. We found some amazing places that we might never have visited, and a number of beautiful friendly little towns along the way. The fields are greening up, the weather was perfect, and we had a great few days meandering our way around a number of shires collecting caches along the way.
Thanks ROSS1957 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Tftc, traveling from Beverley to Hopetoun. Nice spot for a leg stretch. Log book too damp to sign from the recent rains. Photo sent to CO of cache
Quick find, nice short walk to the cache during scorching hot summer weather! Cache was very wet, log book was saoked with water throughout container. What a shame the area in the walk was filled with rubbish. TFTC
Geo-hubby was on his own heading to Hyden to meet a group of cachers tackling the Holland Track the next few days. Cleaned up container and left new log sheet. Thanks Ross1957
On a weeks holiday driving around our beautiful state of WA, visiting places we've been to before but being able to spend more time this time around.
Stayed at Kulin last night and Varley tonight via Pingaring and Buckleys except Mr dimor decided to turn right out of Buckley's instead of left so we ended up in Hyden before Varley
A nice little walk to GZ and the cache. TFTC
** Log is saturated, just managed to sign it. Needs CO attention

Had to head to Kulin and beyond so doing a few little detours grabbing caches as I go. A quick grab before turning the van south to Lake King for the night
Nice way to stretch my legs in a pretty mundane drive enroute to Esperance. Enjoyed the small walk and scenery. TFTC great little spot.
From Esperance we continued along Great Ocean Drive to Stoke NP and then to Wave Rock in Hayden. On the way there was always a geocache to search for and find. Thank you to the Owfor the caches.
Boring road. The only pleasure was to find another cache in Australia.
Greetings from Germany.
Greetings from Germany.
A loooong day in the car from Esperance to Mindarie, so we entertained ourselves by filling in the LGA map where possible! This was our second stop, with about a 130m walk back to the cache - all good here in a nice hidey hole, TFTC ROSS1957, we appreciate your efforts in placing and maintaining this one
We saw the salt lake in the distance. The cache is safely resting where we found it. Thanks.

Yes, there is no much cache on the way toward Hopetoun...so we stop here and found easely this one...TFC
On the way down to Esperance, with a night in Hyden on the way down to check out Wave Rock and split up the outbound leg.
Quick park and grab here. Unfortunately pulling over meant we had to sit behind the oversized wheat trucks on trailers we previously overtook all the way into Lake King.
Cheers ROSS1957!

A relatively - the walk from the parking space was in this heat challengin - quick found on a short break.
It started out warm today and progressed to being hot. There were not many caches to be found along our route, so we were glad that this one was able to be found. Drove past the parking area, did a U turn and came back to it. Walked along the track to make a good find. All was in good condition with the cache.
Thanks go to ROSS1957 for this cache placement.
Thanks go to ROSS1957 for this cache placement.
We were happy to look for this cache as it was along our route today. It was a successful find. TFTC.
Thanks for the hint as GPS not good with Optus! Found and swapped stuff for our Geo-Twins. Flies driving me crazy today
Holland Track Adventure
This trip had been on my 'Wish List' for some years
The problem was Logistics
I had to get the timing right...…….So many Variables!
Weather
The best time of year is after winter to avoid the very worst of the cold and wet, and before the weather gets too hot in summer
We were very fortunate to get nice warm sunny days and mild nights with no rain, the track was mostly dry and the deep mud puddles could easily be skirted around on dry tracks
Company
I did not want to tackle the track on my own as my vehicle is not fully set up for hard core 4 wheel driving, no winch or high lift kit which would be advisable, especially after rain
Luckily I found a group of other geocachers who were planning to tackle the track and I quickly agreed to join in the group
Today was the day
After spending many hours the previous afternoon removing all my work tools and other stuff out of my vehicle and packing in all my camp gear, I was ready to go early in the morning
Stopping to fill up with fuel on my way out of town then continuing on to pick up my passenger Mistraluna
While we had discussed a rough plan of finding caches on the way to Hyden I was not prepared for the coming adventure that this day would prove to become
Luckily we had all day today and tomorrow to get to Hyden where we would meet up with the other members of our party
On the way we stopped to top up with fuel and headed for our first cache of the day
From the fuel station we drove east to Pinjarra then on Pinjarra - Williams road, through Dwellingup, continuing east until we reached the power line road just past East Boundary rd. We made a left turn here and started heading north
The road was quite good and I did not need to use 4 wheel drive
I was thrilled to see a great number and variety of wild flowers along the roadside which I had not seen before
Our journey continues
Day 7
An early start to the day as usual, quick pack up the camp gear then off to find out first cache of the day
After finding many caches from our start point at Lake Lefroy via Norseman - Hyden road
At the moment I cant remember how we got to this one from the last but It was a pain to get to as we had to park some distance south of the cache and walk down the rocky track to the culvert where the cache was hidden
Once found it was a quick sign of the log and back on the road

8029 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 08.20. Pleasant stroll back from the park. Cache in good condition. SL Tnx ROSS1957.
Found by Mary & David at 1545. After seeing such dreadful drought conditions through NSW and QLD, it is a treat to see water lying about, green grass, and lush crops. Still a few wildflowers about. Our thanks to ROSS1957.
We have been in the road since January when we left Geelong Victoria to travel for 2018.we went up to Alice and on to Darwin and crossed the border to WA at the beginning of May. We completed the gibb river road and also went up to cape leveque. From Broome we have zig zagged from coast to inland and seen and done some amazingly things, swimming with the whale sharks was a highlight. We have lived WA so much and feel grateful to have had so much time to explore this magnificent state. We are camped in the area and will sight see and cache the area.
Thanks to caching we are sure we see more than the muggles out there

Bit of a short deviation to my trip to get this one but I still had a bit of time on my hands. Shame people feel the need to drop their rubbish everywhere like in this parking bay. Quick find when I went down to collect the cache which is all in good condition. Plenty of orchids here too.
Many thanks for the cache ROSS1957

After five months on the road, the bulk of it spent in Western Australia, we have reluctantly turned our faces east and started on the journey back home to Victoria. This is our third time exploring this fantastic part of Australia, and we always seem to run out of time once we get to the southern part. We have decided that next time we will start out earlier in the year and visit the southern section first. Maybe then we will feel as if we have done it justice!
One of the bonus’s of traveling is the places that we find geo caches in. The local CO’s have certainly contributed to the enjoyment of our journey and we appreciate the time and effort put into setting up and maintaining caches. We have just left Hyden after time spent at Wave Rock and the area around it. The great natural attractions, bushwalks and, at this time of year, the native orchids are well worth a visit.
When you look for a cache there are often two options, the hard way and the easy way. At least we took the easy way back! Once we got there it was a straightforward find.

A quick find here on our way to Esperance, stopping to find one cache in each LGA we went through as we did the trip in one day. Thank you for the hide ROSS1957, I liked the "camouflage"!
Whew. Its hot here today. Nice view of the lake in the distance. Cache safe and well. TFTC
Road trip to Esperance, by passing some friends and family along the way. Have a hole week off to enjoy time away from work and all the stress. Picking up caches along the way. Tftc sl tnln.
Heading toward Perth, we are stopping along the way for a few caches to break up the drive. A quick find. TFTC
Found with VikingNav today as we traveled from Hopetoun to Wave Rock and Hyden. Thanks for the fun cache!!

Jazzy3008 and I were on our way from Esperence to Wave Rock. It was a scorcher of a day and we had the air conditioning going full blast in the car. We pulled off the road to grab this cache and were almost instantly drenched in sweat when we stepped out of the car. We walked down (about 100m) and had a fairly short search before the cache was in hand. Signed the log and headed back to the coolness of the car (and some water).
Thanks for the cache and an excuse to stretch our legs.

10th day of Christmas- agreed with my “true love” to undertake the “12 Days of Caching” during the Christmas / new year period. On the way to Wave Rock from Esperance when sumbloke and I decided to grab this cache. Found some parking nearby and walked about 75m to GZ in the scorching WA heat. Sumbloke found the cache fairly quickly and we made a beeline back to the car and turned the aircon on full blast! Tftc!

After a night in hyden we continued our toad trip which began perth down to esperance. This was a welcomed distraction from the drive. Tftc
We weren't entirely sure where this was half way to, but it all became clear when we neared and passed GZ. We went cross country to avoid being seen by muggles and soon came across the nicely camo'd cache.
We left one of our signature trade items - a pet rock hedgehog.
Thanks for setting this up ROSS1957

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
** This is a very late log**
The caches I am now logging were ones we found during on a geocaching roadtrip with Eaglette2017 - the mission was to pick up just 5 more LGA caches as well as my geocaching centroid to enable me to qualify for a challenge cache over in Victoria that I visited when over there late last year.
We had an absolute ball on our three days away, visiting many great locations, having lots of laughs and picking up many smileys. I appreciate all the effort each of the cache owners has gone through to create and place each and every hide and I do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my usual style of individualized logs. Time permitting, I hope to come back to this log and upload pics from the journey and add a personal note.
Thanks for the smiley ROSS1957

Jinta29 and I decided to head out for a couple of days and cross off some more LGAs.
Our last one for the day and a leisurely stroll down from where we parked the car for a quick find
I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.
ROSS1957 - Kyzabra found your cache About Half Way . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

With the holiday season upon us and a leave pass from Mrs jinta I decided to call up ol' mate Kyzabra and see if he was keen for a two day caching road trip... he came back with a pretty quick 'yep, let's go' . Woohoo!
We made a plan to start caching in Brookton and head out towards Hyden and Lake King and then loop back to Perth through Narrogin [^]. The main focus was grabbing caches in all the counties on the way through (9 or 10 different ones hopefully).
There were several archived caches that we added to the hit list as well as a few multis and an earthcache for good measure.
A massive thanks here to ROSS1957 for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture out to this glorious part of the state. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache About Half Way on 29/12/2016, 5:30 PM. This is my find #6143 and find #16 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again for placing this and bringing us to this location!

A good idea to stop halfway however it turned out that we were short of half way if heading to Hopetoun! I took the high road and enjoyed the view east while Ladybug took the low road and we arrived at GZ about the same moment. Had to fight with the redback guarding the container and fortunately I won and it is now in arachnid heaven!
Thanks ROSS1957 for the excuse to stop, the view and the cache.

Gotcha, went past the parking bay as there were no P signs from the south. Parked the car and caravan on the northern end of railings and walked back.

I was not about half way to anywhere today
You can only ever know that you are about half way,
if you know where you are going to
Which of course I didn't
Though I did know I was headed to this cache,

Then I was here about half way,
but not really half way at all [:o)]
I quickly strolled off to GZ,
before me musings sent me mad !!
And by the side of the road,
found a cache
TFTC on me way to somewhere other than Esperance !!

Went on a trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie down to Esperance and then back to Perth. Spent 6 days finding, hiding and even maintaining caches along the way.
The majority of caches were found easily and in good condition even some archived ones.
Took a few travel bugs and placed along the way.

TFTC! Found during a 6-Day trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie, Esperance and back to Perth via many back roads and country towns. We found a huge number of caches, clocking up nearly 3000km for the entire trip.
The highlights of the trip have been picking up a bunch of old caches in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding towns, placed by some of Western Australia's first geocachers.
We ventured as far north as Leonora in search of our prizes even visiting a large number of ghost towns along the golden outback trail, some of the most amazing places I've seen in my life, see the pics if you want to know more.
During our trips out from Kal we think we visited nearly every gravesite or headstone in the region with the number of caches in and around cemeteries!
We completed a large amount of cache maintenance around the Kal area, with a large number of the older caches suffering with cracked lids, smashed containers, wet logs and alike. We planned to help about a dozen caches with new containers and ran out after the first couple of days. So if you're in the area please help out as best you can.
We also picked up a number of caches in Esperance placed by some of the newest cachers in the state, who seem to have so much passion and energy.
We ventured out to Cape Le Grande and picked up a few of the caches there, not quite being game enough to grab the views of hellfire cache but we grabbed all of the others we paid for our walking that night!
We even had time to place a couple of caches in my Country Cache series so please look out for them on your travels. Thanks to the locals who have kindly agreed to maintain them.
Thanks to all of the Cache owners for placing the caches that we found, hopefully you can place a few more for our next trip
Thanks
